The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After Rin retreated to the distance, Lancer, eager to fight Kaito, came down from the top of the fence, ”Boy, using such holy sword... Are you a saber?”

”Nope. I am an archer. You should be a lancer, right?” Kaito pretended to ask.

”I mean, my spear should given my identity.”

Lancer said as he had no problem with Kaito guessing his role. He wasn’t even worried about Kaito knowing his name, because he knew his name would be found out anyway if he used his noble phantasm.

”By the way, you look weak, but I can feel you are quite strong.”

Feeling the hot gaze from Lancer, Kaito quickly warned as he backed off, ”...I am sorry but I am not interested in man.”

”Hahaha! You are quite funny, boy!”

”I am not joking, lancer.”

”Well, I am not in a mood to joke either.”

Lancer then grinned confidently and quickly held tight his spear in a pose ready to strike, ”Whatever! Let’s start fighting!”

After saying that, Lancer immediately rushes toward him with inhuman speed and attempts to stab, but naturally, Kaito who was prepared to fight able to block it with ease by deflecting to the right side, even launching a counterattack afterward which Lancer quickly blocked.

*Clank*

*Clank*

...!!

Compared to Sakuya’s speed that cheating (time stop), Lancer’s incredible speed is still much slower than hers. Though, even though Kaito was able to react, he felt the heaviness of Lancer’s attack and decided to use armament haki to offset it afterward.

*Clank*

...!!

”As expected, you are quite strong, boy!”

”Thank you!!”

*Slash*

Kaito delivers a slash from the left, but Lancer quickly avoids Kaito’s slash by moving to the right side, giving him a chance to deliver an attack.

However, Kaito also notices it and easily avoids his counterattack by stepping back. So far none of them was able to land any attack on each other, which Lancer finds exciting.

*Thrust*

”Oh, good reaction! I feel we could get along, boy!”

”No homo, please!”

...!!

Disgusted by his words, Kaito immediately attacks to shut him up, but his attack is also easily blocked by Lancer who saw it coming.

*Clank*

”Hahaha! Even in the middle fight, you still want to joke!”

”As I said, I am not joking, bastard!”

*Clank*

After that, Kaito and Lancer continue trading blows while also ’bantering’, with no one gaining the upper hand toward each other.

While Lancer is more skilled in close combat experience, Kaito also uses Haki to make up for his disadvantage against Lancer’s experience.

Without Haki, Kaito admits he is not an opponent of Lancer at all. As the famous son of light, Chu Chulain has experienced a lot of war, enriching his combat experience.

However, Kaito is confident to end this fight easily with his props or combinations of his strong ability, but eliminating Lancer this early is not part of his core plan. Kaito plans to use the fight with Lancer to gain goodwill from the protagonist, Shirou who will appear later to see the fight between them. He has detected that there are other people besides the 3 of them on the school field, and it is certain that they are the protagonists considering the original plot.

As usual, Kaito believes in the power of plot correction, and important plots at the beginning of the story will not be easily changed because of Kaito’s presence.

After that, Lancer and Kaito fought fiercely on the school field, and then slowly moved to the school field as it happened in the original plot. Only, this time, Rin did not go down with Kaito to the field like in the original where EMIYA carried her together with him.

Though he certainly can bring Rin with him, Kaito with his deepest heart refuses to do that to her ’arrogant master’, so Rin has to go down by herself. Not that it would be a problem for her since she’s also quite skillful using strengthening magic, easily capable of replicating what a superhuman can do, such as leaping from the top of the building to the ground.

...

After that, Because the story runs like the beginning of the holy grail as usual, the next event also follows the plot that happened in the original. Shirou, the protagonist of Fate Stay Night who came home late after helping the club at his school today, accidentally saw a fight between servants on the school field.

”What happened there?”

Shirou muttered in surprise, seeing a teenager his age fighting a blue-haired adult very fiercely on the school field at night.

At first, he thought that there was a TV scene recording taking place on a school night, but Shirou immediately denied it when both Kaito and Lancer noticed him, which made them stop fighting together.

”Oh? Is someone watching us?”

”Boy, get out of here!”

Too bad, because according to the rules, I am going to take him out!”

”What?”

Hearing what Lancer does, like the Original plot, Shirou quickly panics and realizes he accidentally sees something he shouldn’t see.

”Lancer?!”

Kaito is also shocked at what Lancer said, considering they are in the middle of a fight. However, when Kaito wants to stop him, Lancer passes him and jumps at Shirou.

Naturally, Kaito this time didn’t hesitate to use one of his main abilities to stop Lancer, instantly appearing in front of him in mid-air using teleportation and forcing him to retreat by kicking him.

*BAMM*

...!!

”Space ability?! Boy, you are hiding your ability in our fight before?!” Lancer complained while carefully landing on the ground. Despite being kicked in the face, Lancer looks fine and even clearly excited.

”Stop pursuing him, lancer! That boy is innocent!”

Kaito warned while pointing Est to him, intending to stop Lancer seriously.

”Are you intended to protect him, boy?” Lancer asked arrogantly.

”Yes. That guy is my master classmate, I have seen him before.” Kaito bluffed and then yelled at his master who on the way reaching the panicked Shirou, ”Rin, get him away asap from here!”

”You don’t need to tell me, Kaito!” (Rin)

”Tohsaka Rin classmate? Why are you here?” (Shirou)

”Shut up, follow me otherwise you will be murdered by that blue guy!” (Rin)

...

In the original, Lancer managed to get Shirou during their first encounter and almost managed to kill him if not for Rin saved his life, however, Kaito doesn’t plan for Shirou to experience that kind of ’hardship’ here.

As a person with bad luck like Shirou, Kaito believes there is no need to let the original plot happen.

The protagonist dying on their first encounter doesn’t really play an important role in the plot and Kaito believes the plot will still stay the same-- he trusts the magic of plot correction.

A healthy person is also a better ally than a wounded person.

In his opinion it’s just better for to Shirou just summon Saber normally, and then from there they can work together as allies as part of preparation to fight Gilgamesh in the final fight.

...

”Tch! Then you need to stop me seriously, boy!”

”Of course I do!”

*Clank*

Lancer tried to attack Kaito this time with a heavy swing, but surprise for Lancer, Kaito managed to block it without budging (he finally used armament haki)-- even pushing him away in the process.

*Clank*

*Clank*

*Clank*

Lancer then continues to use various ways to attack/get past Kaito, but no matter what he does, Kaito easily stops him.

With the combination of haki and teleportation (and time-stop-using props), naturally, Lancer can’t get through Kaito no matter what he does.

>>>>>

”Tch, I admit, you are powerful!”

Looking at the protagonist finally getting away with Rin from his sight, Lancer knows there is no way he can get rid of Shirou... at least for tonight. He tried to get past Kaito seriously for a few minutes, but Lancer admitted, he was not an opponent of serious Kaito. He doesn’t even scratch Kaito’s white T-shirt at all.

Finally putting his spear down, Lancer glared at Kaito and asked seriously, ”...Boy, you should be aware of the rules, right?”

”Of course I know.”

As one of the servants, Kaito knows that the magical events that occur must not be known by ordinary people-- and naturally, the holy grail war is one of the events that must also be hidden.

This is because the setting in this world is quite strange according to Kaito, where the more people know about magic, the more its existence in this world fades. Therefore, this rule was made among the magus so that they could preserve the existence of magic.

”Then, why are you stopping me?”

”But, he is not an outsider. He is one of the holy grail war participant candidates”

”Ohh?”

Hearing Kaito answer, Lancer stopped his aggression as he became interested, and then curiously asked, ”...How did you know that, boy? I am sure I can only feel a faint magic from that guy.”

”AH!”

...!!!

’Ah, crap! I forgot I am not supposed to say that!’

Kaito quickly facepalmed as he realized he had accidentally spoken something he shouldn’t have. After all, he normally shouldn’t know this information, and he admits this result is his own stupidity and recklessness.

”...Umm, my feeling?”

”Are you joking with me? It’s not funny, boy.”

”Uh... I admit. I do have some kind of future sight ability to see his identity...” Kaito who can’t think of any better reason, decides to tell the answer honestly.

After thinking for a moment, Kaito realizes that it doesn’t matter whether Lancer knows about his future sight plot ability. At best, it would only make him more wary of him, which doesn’t change the situation between them as enemies. The future will change by his presence alone... or the fact there’s no EMIYA, but until then, Kaito will do his best to prepare against this ’change’.

...

”I see. Ability to see the future, huh?”

Even though Kaito revealed something that should make him, Lancer didn’t seem to be surprised in the slightest which confused Kaito.

”As expected, this holy grail war is full of monsters. I am sure you are not going all out either, right?”

”Yeah... Wait, what do you mean full of monsters?!”

...??

Realizing this conversation isn’t something that happened in the original, Kaito can’t help but become panicked.

This situation immediately reminds him of the time when the chat group forcibly changed the SAO world plot-- making what happened much more difficult than what happened in the original.

He knows 100% that something must be changed in this plot, and that’s probably the fault of the system.

...

”Alright, my master told me to go back. We will meet again later, boy.”

”Wait, Lancer! What do you mean by full of monster?”

Kaito who was confident to win this holy grail, now had a bad feeling since in the original plot Lancer never warned anyone before. Even if he talked about Gilgamesh, heck, he was sure that Lancer wasn’t supposed to know his existence until later!

”Uhh... I don’t dare to answer that otherwise, I would get eliminated early.”

”???”

”Just stay alive, try to win this holy grail war, and you will know what I mean later!”

”Wait!”

...

Kaito shouted to stop Lancer, but surprisingly for him, Lancer just disappeared in front of his eyes like he used teleportation, which meant his master, Kotomine Kirei wasted one precious command spell just to get away from him.

Coupled with the extremely high difficulty level, Kaito was sure that the system must have done something behind the scenes-- and he immediately thought about what he should do next.

The first thing Kaito decides is to find out what is strange about this world compared to the original. Kaito began to guess what could make this holy grail war more difficult than usual.

An unknown grand servant has been summoned? The evil of the world broke the seal early? or heck, Sakura got corrupted early?

Or even worse, Beast or True ancestor also participate?!

Kaito sincerely said it wouldn’t be the latter because he knew with his current strength, it was almost impossible to win and finish the task after fighting people with clear 6* evaluation strength in this world!

...

After thinking for a while and being unable to think of a solution, Kaito suddenly remembered that Rin was currently with Shirou, the protagonist.

Kaito then decided to think about this later, because the most important thing right now was to complete the optional task.

However, when Kaito was about to put his weapon (Est) into the Gate of Babylon again reflexively, Est suddenly changed her form to human form before Kaito’s eyes with a very angry expression... which for the first time, he saw Est this angry at him.

”Uhh... Hello Est. Why do you look angry? Did I do something wrong?”

”Master, You don’t want to put me back in that golden space again, right?”

”...Ah.”

Hearing her question, Kaito sweated a lot as he realized what kind of mistake he had made to her. Kaito forgets that Est has been sitting in the dust on his Gate of Babylon for a week-- without food whatsoever, and unlike inside inventory, Est seems can’t get out of the Gate on his own!

...

”Master, I have been with you for the entire time in this world... But you just put me inside that thing for 7 days straight and I can’t even communicate with you from inside.”

”Uh... I am sorry... A lot of things happen.”

Feeling guilty for abandoning his favorite weapon, Kaito slightly bowed his head and said in a remorseful tone. Though the major reason why he forgot was because Rin worked with him a lot, Kaito admitted such oversight was still partly his fault.

”No, Master... I will tell Aika Onee-chan about this later!”

”Anything but that!! Please!”

...!!

Hearing what Est said, Kaito immediately fell to his knees begging her not to do that. If the news that he forgot about Est came out later, Kaito was convinced 100% they definitely would give him some sort of punishment that would make his life more miserable!

Fortunately, In the end, Kaito managed to get Est to forgive him with the promise that he would take Est out for fun the next day all day long.
