The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

Continuing from the previous chapter, Kaito and Kaguya are preparing to fight to determine whether Kaguya will join his peerage or not. In addition, Kaito has a mission from the system to make Kaguya express her desire to join the peerage himself, but Kaito is currently confused about which way is better to do that.

Using a prop or rent ability from Saitama / Sakuya, Kaito believes he can end this fight instantly. Another option is for Kaito to show his abilities one by one to impress Kaguya before ending the fight by showing his true abilities (props again).

As a teenager with the impulse to show off, Kaito prefers the second option-- because it’s cooler and he also wants to know how strong the Kaguya in front of him is compared to the Original. After all, if she’s going to be part of his peerage, he should know all of her abilities and issues.

”Do your first move, Kaguya-san.” Kaito confidently said, while waving his finger at himself.

”Don’t regret it, mortal.”

After saying that, Kaguya then shot a projectile of bone from her hand toward him. Recognizing her famous attack that ended Obito’s life in the original, Kaito was dumbfounded and quickly dodged, he didn’t expect that Kaguya would immediately want to kill him!

...!!!

”Ash killing bone immediately? How much do you hate your benefactor?!”

”Hmmph. You might as well die if you can’t react to that.”

Naturally Kaguya, as the ancestor of the chakra, obviously can control all elements but it doesn’t show in the original. Kaguya then continued to attack him by shooting both fire and lightning jutsu toward Kaito... blasting the calm moon’s surface with an explosion.

*BOOM*

...!!

Naturally, with Haki and his basic speed, Kaito has no problem to avoid, but this time he decides to counterattack --- by teleporting behind Kaguya.

*Blink*

Unfortunately for Kaito, Kaguya seemed aware he would do that, as she quickly turned around and blocked Kaito’s attack easily.

”What?”

...!!!

”Good ability.”

Kaito thought it was just a coincidence that Kaguya was able to react to his teleportation attack, and tried the same trick again over and over again.

*BAMM*

*BAMM*

*BAMM*

However, after trying the same trick a few times from different directions, Kaito realized something was off... especially since Kaguya seemed to be amused, looking at his struggle to land an attack on her.

”...How are you able to react to all my surprise spatial attacks?” Kaito asked curiously.

”I was able to perceive the space change around me. It’s a good ability mortal... and my reaction time is several times higher than you.”

”Ah. I forgot you can do that... damn it.”

Remembering how Kaguya could easily teleport and change dimensions in the Original, Kaito realized that Kaguya had space abilities that were far superior to his since she probably had that ability for years, only limited by the energy she currently possessed.

For once, Kaito meets his formidable opponent, a way more skilled space user who also seems to have a very high reaction speed to boot.

In the original, Kaguya doesn’t seem to be that skilled using space ability against team 7, but then Kaito remember Kaguya probably also held back against them. After all, both Naruto and Sasuke have her son’s power, so as a mother, she probably doesn’t want to hurt them so badly and just wants to send them into the dream with other ninjas. Not to mention, they were also protagonist, otherwise with Kaguya’s ability, logically, there’s no way for Team 7 to succeed in the original.

If Kaguya is not arrogant and smart enough, she could have just left Naruto and Sasuke in a very dangerous dimension or been sneaky in launching her ash-killing bone jutsu, like what she did to Obito.

...

”Oh well, I guess my teleportation ability is restricted. It’s first time.”

Realizing the situation, Kaito stopped trying to use teleportation and decided to use his other abilities. At that moment, Kaito realized that he was too dependent on teleportation, so he honestly thanked Kaguya for making him aware of his shortcomings right now.

...

”What’s wrong? You are giving up?” Kaguya asked while looking disappointed at him.

”Nope. But since my teleportation ability doesn’t work on you, I am thinking of changing my strategy.”

”I see.”

Kaguya nodded in understanding and then stated, ”To be honest, you are an impressive mortal. My genjutsu can’t seem to affect you at all and your mastery of space seems to be no less than I do.”

”Genjutsu?”

”I can’t see how it works but I am sure the immunity coming out of your right hand.”

”Ah.”

Hearing what Kaguya said, Kaito then realized she had already opened her third eye and attempted to get him into an illusion.  Unfortunately, his right hand is capable of dispelling any supernatural debuff or illusion directed at him, and Kaguya seems to find it interesting.

...

”Uh, thanks... so, do you agree to join my peerage?”

Kaito asked, trying his chance but obviously, it got denied immediately, albeit Kaguya also gave her promise.

”Not yet. But you have impressed me. If you really can defeat me, then I promise to join you.”

Hearing her promise, Kaito who was confident about winning this fight sighed in relief, ”Alright, then time to be serious. No need to talk furthermore.”

”Me too.

*DASH*

...!!

Without saying anything further, Kaguya rushes at Kaito with incredible speed, making him unable to react properly until she gets too close.

”Crap!”

Thankfully, Kaito was barely able to react with Haki... but it’s too late for him to avoid so he was forced to block it.

*BAMM*

...!!

Even though Kaito managed to block Kaguya’s fist using 2 hands imbued with armament haki, he still gets blasted away a hundred meters away by Kaguya due to their physical properties difference... creating a chasm on the moon’s surface

Compared to Kaito’s physical enhancement with devil physic and haki, Kaguya’s physical strength is strong enough to compete with fully transformed Naruto with Asura power and Sasuke Susanoo with Indra power using her bare hand.

Not stopping there, Kaguya released a huge fireball jutsu toward Kaito’s direction where he got knocked... trying to finish him off.

With the threat of a huge fireball in front of his eyes, Kaito who can’t teleport well while being knocked off forced to show his right-hand ability. Under the effect of Imagine Breaker, the huge fireball that was about to engulf Kaito instantly disappeared, as if it were just an illusion.

*Crack*

This caused Kaguya to be surprised for a second, and Kaito used this chance to recover his stance and launch a counterattack by teleporting directly behind her again.

*Blink*

At that moment, Kaguya realized she might be in a disadvantageous situation at close combat with him and decided to escape. After recognizing the threat on his right hand, Kaguya quickly distances herself from Kaito by also teleporting away from her location... refusing to block his fist like earlier.

*Blink*

’What the fuck?!’

While on it, Kaguya released various jutsu from fire to lightning to harm Kaito, but to no avail, almost everything turned into nothing with Kaito’s right hand.

*Crack*

Kaito continues to chase Kaguya with his teleportation ability, but no matter how many times he does that, Kaguya is always able to escape whenever he comes close to her.

This makes for an exciting fighting scene as Kaito tries his best to chase Kaguya while Kaguya also does her best to escape.

*Blink* *Blink* *Crack*

Both of them disappear every second and reappear in another part of the moon, while Kaguya occasionally counterattacks Kaito with various multiple elemental jutsu as she has figured out the weakness of Kaito’s right hand.

This creates an atmosphere of intense fight, except Kaito didn’t manage to land any attack on her at all.

Some of Kaguya’s attacks managed to hit and injure him. No matter how powerful Imagine Breaker is, it’s only covering his right hand, and Kaito indeed was hopeless against attacks that come from multiple directions!

In the end, Kaito stops attempting to chase her, as he realizes that he would never possibly win this way.

...

”Shit... as expected of the final boss.”

Despite his injuries from getting affected by her various attempts to attack, Kaito still had a wide smile on his face, while wiping blood on his lips. For him, learning the weakness of his invincible teleportation and Imagine Breaker ability is quite an enlightening experience, and if not because they were in the middle of the fight, Kaito wanted to thank Kaguya for this experience.

Looking at Kaito who has stopping his pursuit, Kaguya also decide to stop moving and complimented, ”...Not bad for a mortal. You are the strongest mortal I have ever faced.”

”Should I say, thank you?”

”No need. Mortal, you are stronger than my son but if this only your ability, then you can’t convince me. I can tell that you are about to run out of energy.”

”...Yeah, the play is over.”

At this point, he realizes that without his prop, there’s no chance for him to win here at all since all of his basic abilities have been restricted too much by her. Also, as Kaguya has pointed out, Kaito soon going to run out of energy, since his teleportation ability spam drains his energy too much while Kaguya doesn’t seem to be troubled at all.

Honestly, if Kaito doesn’t have the creation cheat or rent ability privilege of the chat group, in a prolonged fight, there’s no way he would win against Kaguya, but who makes him a cheater time traveler?

”This will be hurt, so I will say sorry to you in advance but let’s wrap this up.”

Hearing the confidence in his tone, Kaguya ridiculed him and said, ”Hmm? What nonsense you are talking about?”

”You will see what I mean, in a second.”

Determined to end this quickly, Kaito took out the item from the inventory that he used in his fight against Sakuya... The Golden Stopwatch quickly activated it-- suspended the time of a large chunk of the moon’s surface. Of course, this doesn’t affect Saitama or anyone in the chat group who watches the fight, but Kaguya naturally gets affected by this cheating item.

Thanks to that, Even with her millisecond reaction and space perception ability, she still failed to capture Kaito’s attack this time. As space + time ability attached to it, the combination means this attack is impossible to see where it’s coming from and guaranteed to land.

”How you---”

*BOOM*

...!!

For the first time, Kaito landed a clean hit at Kaguya back, which made her crashing to the ground while being confused. Kaito was certainly capable of doing far more damage like using Gungnir, but he didn’t want to kill her after all.

”...I can’t see it at all, how do you have become much faster?”

Quickly stood up, Kaguya recover herself without trouble, but she was still pissed since for the first time, Kaito finally hit her clean, ”That golden thing on your hand must be doing something, right?”

”You are not wrong.” Kaito teased casually.

”That speed... No, it’s time, isn’t it?” Kaguya quickly guessed while her face darkened, ”You can manipulate time with that thing?”

”...I didn’t expect you able to see it at first glance.”

Kaito nodded and confirmed her guess while also wondering whether she had faced a similar ability before. Considering a lot of Otsutsuki members have a ton of weird abilities, maybe she does have a clan member with this kind of ability.

”Well, it’s not like you can do anything about it!”

...!!!

After cheekily saying that Kaito activated the stopwatch again and then immediately landed a punch directly on her face, knocking Kaguya away once again several hundred meters away. This severely injures her pride and makes her look very frustrated, which Kaito could understand.

After all, he also gets abused a lot by Sakuya’s time manipulation ability during their daily spar routine and knows very well how invincible and troublesome time ability is to defend.

After that, Kaguya tried to distort the space around her to prevent Kaito appear near her, but unfortunately, those space distortions easily get deleted by Imagine Breaker.

...!!

Kaito, who was aware he wouldn’t last long with his current energy reserve decides to end it all-- by grabbing Kaguya’s neck upfront and activating Imagine Breaker space sealing he learned earlier, which prohibits her from manipulating energy on her ability at all.

*Grab*

”You! What have you done?” Kaguya screamed hysterically while being strangled by Kaito.

For the first time, Kaguya feel so weak since she was ever born, as Kaito disabled all of her ability to use chakra by activating his Imagine Breaker... making her feel like a mortal for the first time.

”You know, since you don’t seem to want to cooperate with me, I guess I will just kill you.” Kaito ’threatened’ her.

”Kill me? I am an immortal, do you think you can kill me?!”

”If you want to then I will fulfill your wish.”

Using his left hand, Kaito summoned a few petrified kunai out of his inventory and then stabbed both of Kaguya’s arms and leg at the same time to the ground.

*Stab* *Stab* *Stab* *Stab*

...!!

Kaguya desperately tries to escape and she is clearly in pain, but she can’t muster enough strength to forcefully move Kaito away at all.

”Stop! What are you going to do?!”

Ignoring Kaguya’s plead,  Kaito immediately summons Est beside him and changes herself into an elemental waffle (sword) form, with the shape of a white and blue one-handed longsword with the hilt being partially gold.

He also quickly asked the system to channel the Imagine Breaker ability to Est as well to add a more convincing threat.

”Est, let’s finish this.”

”Yes, master.”

...!!

”What is that?!!”

The moment Kaguya sees Est release an aura in Kaito’s hand, she realizes that he isn’t bluffing at all. He is capable of killing her with that horrific sword as she has never felt so close to death.

As the strongest sword spirit with the ability to destroy and absorb any curse, she is already capable of heavily injuring her, and with Imagine Breaker properties added to it, one swing is for sure able to kill her for real.

”Stop! I give up!”

”I said, I give up!”

”I am willing to join your peerage, please don’t kill meeeeee!!!”

Kaguya, who felt very scared, immediately surrendered without hesitation, while screaming and begging in a pitiful tone for the first time in her life.

Hearing her, Kaito felt bad, especially for the treatment he had given to Kaguya (getting pinned on the ground and tortured), but that feeling quickly disappeared when he heard the confirmation from the system that his task had been completed.

In the end, Kaito won their fierce battle without any suspension at the end. This fight contains a lot of irony because the devil ultimately wins against the goddess by using the weapon used to kill a demon king.

Although Kaito was injured a lot in the process, he was quite happy with the results of this battle. Besides getting a strong peerage member and finishing the task, Kaito also learned about the shortcomings of his teleportation ability and different ways to use his Imagine Breaker ability... which is very lethal to any supernatural creature.
