Maybe My Soulmate! (GL)

A few days after that miraculous revival in the dungeon, news had spread like wildfire throughout the human world—an unmistakable warning that the breaking of the ancient treaty between humans and demons would not be tolerated. As fate would have it, the upheaval reached the heart of the corrupt Hua family. One crisp morning, as the gathered cultivators murmured and glared, a great sage from the demon clan arrived at the Hua family estate. Her presence was imposing, her aura a blend of regal authority and unyielding righteousness. With a single, resonant voice that carried across the courtyard, she demanded an immediate investigation into the misdeeds of the Hua family.

Standing in the center of the grand courtyard, before an assembly of hundreds of cultivators, the demon sage’s eyes burned with a fierce light. ”I have come to uncover the truth,” she declared. ”The betrayal of the ancient treaty and the secret dealings with demon cubs will no longer be hidden behind the veil of false honor.” The crowd fell silent as her words washed over them like a tidal wave of justice.

The Hua patriarch, a silver-haired man known for his haughty demeanor, was forced to step forward. His eyes betrayed a reluctant fear as he struggled to maintain composure in front of the assembled cultivators. ”I… I assure you, our family has always upheld its duties,” he stammered, but his words were drowned out by the growing murmurs of discontent.

In that moment, the mighty power of the demon sage surged forth. A brilliant, searing light erupted from her hands as she unleashed a display of formidable strength that left no room for denial. The ground trembled beneath her, and every eye in the courtyard witnessed the true extent of her might. The Hua family’s carefully constructed facade crumbled under the pressure, revealing their true nature for all to see.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Mo Yuxin and Xu Xian—now recognized as the head disciples of Cangran, the very pillar of humanity—stepped forward. With a fierce determination, they declared that the Hua family was to be held accountable for their treachery. ”For far too long, the Hua family has exploited our trust and broken the sacred treaty,” Mo Yuxin proclaimed, her voice ringing clear and resolute. ”Today, we bring justice.”

In a seamless display of coordinated power, Mo Yuxin’s thunderous aura crackled with energy as Xu Xian’s flames danced fiercely by her side. Their combined might was overwhelming. Within moments, Hua family guards and supporters were overpowered and subdued. The head disciples moved like a force of nature, swiftly arresting the Hua patriarch and his cohorts, seizing every piece of ill-gotten wealth that had been hoarded for generations. The very economy of Cangran, which had been suffering under the weight of the Hua family’s misdeeds, suddenly found a new lease on life with the recovery of this wealth. Mo Yuxin let out a long, relieved sigh as she witnessed the scales of justice begin to balance.

Back at the heart of Cangran, a quiet calm had descended after the storm. Su Yubing, who had been utterly exhausted by the spiritual and physical battles of the past days, lay in a deep, almost meditative sleep. Her body, still bearing the scars of her near-death experience, was now at rest. Meanwhile, Mo Yuxin, with her newfound responsibilities as the next sect leader, busied herself with the follow-up work required to restore order. The disgrace of the Hua family’s betrayal had been spread far and wide, serving as a stern warning to anyone who might consider breaking the sacred treaty between humans and demons.

Days passed, and while the administrative work of Cangran was methodically handled by Mo Yuxin, the whole community was slowly healing—both economically and spiritually. The corrupt practices of the Hua family were now a dark chapter in the annals of the sect, and their fall was a reminder of the unyielding power of justice when wielded by those who truly cared for the balance of the world.

Then, one soft morning, the gentle hum of the sect stirred as Su Yubing began to awaken. In a quiet chamber within Cangran, she slowly opened her eyes, her body still weak but her spirit unmistakably present. The room was filled with a tranquil light, a stark contrast to the dark turmoil that had once filled the dungeon.

The moment her eyes fluttered open, Mo Yuxin was there. Dropping everything, she rushed to Su Yubing’s side and swept her into the tightest, most desperate embrace imaginable. ”Su… Yubing,” she whispered, voice trembling with emotion as if she were cradling the most precious treasure in the world. ”I’ve missed you so much. I was so scared... I couldn’t bear the thought of losing you.”

Their reunion was an explosion of tender emotion. Mo Yuxin held Su Yubing close, pressing her lips to her hair and face, as if trying to imprint every inch of her beloved back into memory. With overwhelming passion, Mo Yuxin began kissing Su Yubing’s neck, each gentle, lingering kiss leaving soft red marks—silent testimonies to her undying love and the depth of her longing. ”Please, don’t ever leave me again,” Mo Yuxin murmured between kisses, her voice a mixture of reverence and vulnerability.

Su Yubing’s eyes, still heavy with sleep, slowly met Mo Yuxin’s gaze. In that moment, a complex array of emotions played across her features. ”You… you left me, Mo Yuxin,” she said softly, her tone laced with a mixture of tenderness and a trace of reproach. ”I know the injuries I suffered in the battle of Wuhuan were too great… but sometimes I wonder… did you let my memory fade?” Her words, though gentle, carried a weight of bittersweet accusation. It was not so much that she resented the loss of memory, but the pain of separation that such a loss had caused.

Mo Yuxin’s heart ached at the sound, and she clutched Su Yubing even tighter. ”I would never intentionally let you go,” she insisted, her voice firm yet trembling. ”The weight of those battles… the terror of losing you—it broke something inside me. But now, I remember everything. I remember every promise, every laugh, every tear.” Her eyes glistened as she spoke, her words full of raw emotion and unwavering commitment. ”You’re the light of my life. I promise, from this moment onward, I will never let you slip away. I will guard every memory, every fragment of who we are, and keep you safe.”

The room seemed to shimmer with the intensity of their passion and the healing power of their love. Outside, the news of the Hua family’s downfall and the consequent restoration of justice echoed throughout Cangran and the human world—a testament to the power of unity and the cost of betrayal. But inside, all that mattered was this moment of intimate reconnection.

Mo Yuxin continued to shower Su Yubing with tender kisses, her lips exploring the delicate curve of Su Yubing’s neck, her kisses soft yet fervent. Each touch was imbued with an almost desperate need, a need to make up for lost time and to etch their love deeper into the very fabric of their souls. The lingering red marks on Su Yubing’s skin were like silent promises, marks that said ”I love you” in a language beyond words.

Su Yubing, despite the faint hint of reproach in her voice, couldn’t help but melt under Mo Yuxin’s passionate display. ”I know you’re sorry,” she whispered, her tone soft and forgiving. ”I understand that the pain of Wuhuan’s battles… the injuries I sustained… they were too much. But I need you to understand—I miss you too. I’ve missed us so much.”

Their voices intertwined in a gentle duet—a chorus of apologies, promises, and declarations of love. Mo Yuxin’s heart swelled with a renewed determination as she vowed to never let Su Yubing feel alone again. ”I will never leave you, Su Yubing,” she repeated, her voice a firm promise against the backdrop of their tender intimacy. ”I’ll be here for you, every day, every moment. You are my everything.”

For a long, blissful time, the only sounds were their soft whispers, the quiet rustling of fabric, and the beating of their hearts in unison. Their love, ambiguous and deep, had weathered storms and the scars of lost memories. In this gentle reunion, the pain of the past seemed to fade away, replaced by the warmth of their embrace and the promise of a future built on trust and unwavering devotion.

As the morning light grew stronger, their tender exchange continued—a private world of passion and healing away from the tumult of the outside world. Mo Yuxin’s kisses trailed along Su Yubing’s collarbone, and each gentle caress was a vow that she would never again let the darkness of memory or pain separate them. The red marks left behind by Mo Yuxin’s kisses were like a living record of her passion—a map of her undying love and the promises made in that precious moment.

Su Yubing, lying in Mo Yuxin’s arms, looked up with eyes that shone both with relief and a hint of playful reproach. ”I know you love me,” she murmured softly, ”and I love you too. But sometimes… I can’t help but wonder if you forgot the parts of us that were most important.”

Mo Yuxin’s expression softened into a look of deep remorse and tenderness. ”I’m so sorry,” she said, her voice cracking as she pressed closer. ”Every day away from you felt like an eternity, and I lost parts of myself that I can never recover. But I promise, I’ll make it up to you. I’ll hold onto every memory, every moment we share, and I’ll never let them slip away again.”

They lay together for what seemed like an eternity, their whispered words of love and regret mingling with the gentle rustle of the wind outside Cangran. In that sacred space, with the echoes of past battles and the promise of a renewed future all around them, their love shone like a beacon—pure, resilient, and utterly unyielding.

Finally, as the day brightened and a new chapter beckoned, the two lovers remained entwined—a symbol of hope and healing. Su Yubing, now fully awake and radiating a soft inner light, cupped Mo Yuxin’s face gently. ”You promised, didn’t you?” she whispered, her voice both playful and earnest. ”Don’t ever leave me again.”

Mo Yuxin smiled through her lingering tears and brushed a stray lock of hair from Su Yubing’s face. ”I promise,” she replied, her tone resolute yet tender. ”I promise with every breath, every heartbeat, that I will never let you go.” Their eyes met, and in that silent moment, all the pain of the past gave way to the overwhelming promise of a future filled with shared memories, passionate kisses, and the unbreakable bond of love.

And so, amid the soft glow of Cangran’s new dawn and the echo of their whispered vows, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing sealed their reunion with a tender kiss—a kiss that carried the weight of all they had endured, and the hope that together, they would rebuild not just their love, but the very fabric of the world around them.
