Chapter 1000: Chapter 2: Old Grievances

”No.”

Konan glared at Su Xiao, her breathing slightly accelerated.

”Then explain to me in detail the situation during the attack on Konoha.”

”This...”

Konan was speechless.

”Interesting, is this the Hidden Rain Village?”

Su Xiao stood up, the Rain Village’s characteristics were too obvious, it was constantly raining.

”This is a remote village near the Hidden Rain Village.”

Konan was somewhat wary. The reason she was there was to repay Su Xiao for saving Nagato’s life. If it wasn’t for Su Xiao assisting Nagato with surgery back then, Nagato wouldn’t have lasted long, let alone think about attacking Konoha.

”How many members are still alive?”

Su Xiao no longer inquired about the attack on Konoha. He picked up the Akatsuki Uniform by the bed, a coat of black with red clouds.

”Jue, Kisame Hoshigaki, Deidara, Uchiha Sasuke.”

”Are the others all dead?”

”Yes, Uchiha Sasuke has three subordinates, they aren’t official members of the Akatsuki.”

Konan seemed to have overlooked a name.

”What about Ah Fei?”

Su Xiao turned his head to look at Konan, a smile suddenly appeared on his face.

Seeing Su Xiao suddenly smile, Konan felt a chill rising from the soles of her feet, a very terrifying guess appeared in her mind.

”Or rather... what about Uchiha Madara?”

The Uchiha Madara that Su Xiao mentioned was of course not the real Uchiha Madara, but Obito’s disguise.

Upon hearing the name Uchiha Madara, Konan’s eyes widened, looking at Su Xiao with no hint of gratitude anymore.

”You’re... his subordinate.”

Konan almost ground her teeth as she said these words. According to the history of the Akatsuki Organization, Nagato was indeed its leader, this was undeniable. As for Obito, he was in a cooperative relationship with Nagato.

Nagato’s actions in Konoha were tantamount to betraying the other members of the Akatsuki and Obito, Konan certainly knew this, so she didn’t dare return to the Hidden Rain Village. How could she explain herself upon return? Nagato was influenced by a Konoha Lower Ninja? Don’t joke, other Akatsuki members paid too much to complete the Tailed Beast plan; if they received such results, those Akatsuki members would surely kill Konan and then elect a new leader.

”Not really.”

Su Xiao was considering the current situation, Nagato had indeed betrayed the other Akatsuki members, but Su Xiao had not. On the contrary, his collaborator Obito was likely now in command of those Akatsuki members; the best choice now was to reunite with the Akatsuki Organization.

Upon hearing Su Xiao say ”not really,” Konan didn’t let down her guard.

”You seem quite tense? With your strength, this level of tension only indicates one thing: Nagato betrayed us. I nearly helped him recover to his best state, with his condition and those Rinnegan eyes, enough to flatten Konoha. The Fifth Hokage Tsunade was no match for him.”

As soon as Su Xiao finished speaking, Konan bent down and rushed toward the door; Su Xiao wasn’t the kind of ally she imagined she could rope in.

Su Xiao didn’t move, he didn’t intend to fight Konan, it wouldn’t be meaningful, besides this woman wasn’t a pushover, Exploding Talisman tactics were simple yet very intimidating.

Su Xiao just wanted to make inquiries with Konan about the current situation, who would have thought Konan suddenly ran away, could this be related to Charm Attributes?

It actually wasn’t related to Charm Attributes, Su Xiao’s previous sudden smile had somewhat scared Konan, and that sentence ”Or rather, Uchiha Madara?” really shocked Konan.

Once the specifics of Nagato’s attack on Konoha were exposed, Konan would become a target of the Akatsuki Organization’s pursuit; her relationship with Nagato was too close.

Su Xiao, on the other hand, was different; he was a member of the Akatsuki Organization, although he also went to Konoha with Nagato, his performance throughout the trip wouldn’t cause any issue among the Akatsuki Organization members.

As soon as Konan left, Bubu Wang walked in from outside the room, followed by A Mu. A Mu was leaving Reincarnation Paradise for the first time, it was very curious about the Naruto World.

The foremost task now was to contact other members of the Akatsuki Organization. In the camp judgment, Su Xiao was an official member of the Akatsuki Organization.

Just as Su Xiao was about to set out, a prompt from Reincarnation Paradise appeared.

...

Su Xiao immediately opened the task list, both the main task and the hunting task seemed challenging this time.

[Main Task: Prelude to the Ninja World War]

Difficulty Level: Lv.28

Task Description: Incite the Ninja World War by any means.

Task Information: The Ninja World War must involve a minimum of the Five Great Shinobi Villages simultaneously, using all means to compel them to form an alliance.

Task Duration: 60 natural days.

Task Reward: 2 True Attribute Points.

Task Punishment: Forced Execution.

...

Seeing the contents of the Main Task, Su Xiao raised an eyebrow; among the data of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, he must be an extremely dangerous villain. The main task clearly expected him to continue his identity as such.

Inciting the Ninja World War wasn’t difficult; even if Su Xiao did nothing, the Naruto World was already on the verge of war. The challenge was to incite the war within the specified time; he only had two months, significantly increasing the difficulty.

The difficulty of Lv.28 revealed the high strength judgment of Reincarnation Paradise on Su Xiao, knowing that he’s only a Level 20 Hunter now, crossing a full 8 levels.

The bad news was the Main Task was difficult; the good news was he was a collaborator with Obito, and the rewards for the Main Task were quite abundant. 2 True Attribute Points were equivalent to a lifting effect of 10 Ordinary Attribute Points before. Those 2 True Attribute Points options emitted dazzling golden light.

Closing the Main Task, Su Xiao opened the Hunting Task, this time it was special; the target to clear wasn’t a Violator, but a Foreigner.

[Hunting Task: Eliminate Foreigner TQ-9670.]

Task Description: Eliminate Foreigner TQ-9670 by any means necessary.

Task Duration: Before leaving this Derivative World.

Task Punishment: Mandatory participation in Death Duel Cage (once).

Task Reward: Golden Honor Medal ×5.

...

The rewards for the Hunting Task were also abundant; surely, the profits in large open-worlds were high. The Pirate World he once experienced greatly boosted his strength.

In Reincarnation Paradise, there’s a saying to cherish every opportunity to enter an open-world, highlighting the profits in open-worlds.

Foreigner TQ-9670, the prefix on this foreigner’s number caught Su Xiao’s attention; he suspected this might be a Contractor from another Paradise.

This suspicion wasn’t baseless; past hunting tasks had no punishments, but this time there was a punishment.

Suppose Violators were merely ”traitors” within Reincarnation Paradise; ”traitors” of course needed cleaning, exercising judgment in clearing them, and they had potential for correction, like the violator Seven Desires in the Forbidden World of Magic, who reformed. Whereas Foreigner was more like a spy, urgently needing clearance, lest they pose endless problems, and such spies might be unique to open-worlds.

Su Xiao wasn’t sure if his speculation was accurate; there were no leads on the Foreigner information, he’d better reunite with the Akatsuki Organization first.

Moreover, it’s time to settle his past grudge with Mei Terumī; back then Su Xiao wasn’t strong enough, having to awkwardly flee Rain Village. Now, he’s strong enough to confront Mei Terumī head-on.
