Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 996: Chapter 84: The Visitor (Update 4)

Wet, slippery, cold.

With a plop, the dirty water splashed everywhere.

This was a large swamp, a combat scenario simulated by the arena.

Su Xiao had been fighting continuously in the arena for several hours. Due to his low ranking, his matchmaking speed was extremely fast, and since his opponents were all rookies, each battle was resolved in a matter of minutes, including the time it took to enter the arena.

After achieving 67 consecutive wins, Su Xiao’s rank jumped from 125,743rd to 10,650th. If he won this battle, he would break into the top ten thousand.

Once nearing the ten thousand mark, the strength of his opponents obviously increased. At least these opponents could put up a little fight against Su Xiao, though the chance of them defeating him was slim.

Su Xiao’s opponent this round was a young girl. Whether it was a personal hobby or an ability, she dressed very much like a magical girl.

Typically, such girls give off a very soft impression, commonly referred to as soft sisters. However, Su Xiao’s opponent only looked like a soft sister in appearance; in reality, she was as stubborn as a mule. Despite having her arms severed by Su Xiao, and suffering massive true damage that nearly killed her, this stubborn mule refused to surrender. Instead, she relied on her profession’s flash capability to dart around, a type of spatial movement ability that allowed her movements to be tracked.

Su Xiao walked through the muddy swamp. The arena wasn’t simulating a virtual scene but a realistic one. It was more accurate to call it a manifestation.

The mud splashed as Su Xiao’s gaze fell on the muddy water at his feet. A few bubbles rose from the mud, and his intuition ability clearly sensed that the enemy was soaking in the mud, very stubbornly.

With a splosh, mud and water flew everywhere. The stubborn mule girl held a magic wand in her mouth, magic energy surged, she wasn’t a traditional mage. This situation was the result of her lying in ambush for a long time, having swallowed five or six gulps of mud water.

”Oh—”

A miserable groan, the stubborn mule girl who had just emerged from the mud, was stomped back down by Su Xiao.

Gurgling...

Bubbles rose, mud splashed, the stubborn mule girl kicked her legs wildly, Su Xiao lit a cigarette and waited silently.

About two minutes later, he lifted his foot, and the stubborn mule girl shot out of the mud.

”Pfft.”

The stubborn mule girl spat out a mouthful of mud water, war intent rising in her eyes. Just as she was about to attack Su Xiao again, she suddenly felt her body lighten. After that, her entire body moved uncontrollably upward, her throat gripped tightly.

Su Xiao held the stubborn mule girl by the neck and stared directly at her. He couldn’t quite understand why the opponent was so persistent in just an arena.

The stubborn mule girl put away the magic wand in her mouth, looking directly at Su Xiao with eyes full of unyielding spirit, and said.

”Truly a match of equals.”

It was hard to say if the stubborn mule girl’s conscience was pricked. From the start of the fight, she had been repeatedly pressed into the mud and hacked at; how could this be a match of equals?

Su Xiao realized this stubborn mule girl was not only obstinate but also a bit childish. Her gaze seemed to imply: ’I’ve met my match, praise me.’

He raised his knife and stabbed forward, a mass of light particles exploded in Su Xiao’s hand, and the stubborn mule girl disappeared.

As the stubborn mule girl vanished, Su Xiao vaguely heard her say something like: ’This script is wrong.’

It seemed the stubborn mule girl’s childishness was beyond saving. This was exactly how things were in Reincarnation Paradise; you could encounter all sorts of people—fierce, ruthless, comedic, gloomy, insane, mad, childish, and so on.

In such a harsh environment, whatever was hidden in each person’s heart would be awakened. Perhaps Contractors manifested their truest selves only while in Reincarnation Paradise.

Su Xiao returned to the resting area and checked his personal ranking.

[Arena Competitor: Su Xiao.]

[Status: Good.]

[Ranking: 9,989 (Third tier).]

[Number of consecutive wins: 68.]

[Top ten rewards: Not obtained.]

...

He nearly failed to break into the top ten thousand. Su Xiao’s stay in Reincarnation Paradise was about to reach its limit.

Sure enough, before long after he returned to the resting area, a notification from Reincarnation Paradise appeared.

[Hunter’s stay in Reincarnation Paradise has reached its limit.]

[Will return to the real world, please remember the regulations of Reincarnation Paradise.]

[Anything from Reincarnation Paradise must not be revealed in the real world in any form...]

...

[Teleport to begin, location: real world.]

In the real world, on the second floor of the jewelry store Su Xiao owned.

Su Xiao and Bubu Wang appeared simultaneously. In that split second, Bubu Wang leaped at Su Xiao’s mud-covered calf, teeth bared, but froze mid-action.

Su Xiao was puzzled. Did this goofball really think his mud-covered shoe was interesting?

The truth was otherwise. Let’s rewind time by a few seconds. In a cold drink shop in Reincarnation Paradise, Bubu Wang, being a high-level VIP guest, was sitting at a spot specially reserved for it by the female manager.

In front of Bubu Wang was a soft pudding. The slightest vibration would cause this exquisite pudding to tremble.

Looking out the window, Bubu Wang sighed silently. Who would’ve thought it would come to this? Back in the day, it was just a not-so-bright imperial tool, always on the verge of being discarded. Now it had become a high-level creature.

Thinking of this, Bubu Wang leaned forward to bite the pudding because it was about to be teleported away.

After a blurry transfer combined with super-speed teleportation, it found itself back on the second floor of the jewelry store.

Bubu Wang was deeply saddened. Why had the soft pudding turned into a mud-covered shoe? Why was its life so hard?

Su Xiao took off his muddy shoes and threw them to Bubu Wang.

”Eat slowly, don’t choke.”

After saying this, Su Xiao headed to the bathroom to wash up.

But let’s not delve into the daily life of battle-scarred Su Xiao and the goofy Bubu Wang. Ten kilometers away from the jewelry store, two bald Mexican men stood on a pedestrian street, waiting for the traffic light.

Each wore a beige and gray suit, underneath which were sturdy builds. Paired with their bald heads and stern expressions, they exuded a silent yet fierce aura.

One bald man raised an arm, using a finger from the other hand to adjust his sleeve—just a simple action to check the time, yet done with meticulous precision.

The time was precisely noon, 12 o’clock. The two bald men exchanged a glance and nodded, communicating without words. Despite being twin brothers, they could go a full week without speaking to each other unless necessary.

After leaving the pedestrian street, they stopped a taxi, handed over a note along with a crisp red bill.

The driver had a gut feeling something was off. The two silent bald men gave him an inexplicable sense of pressure.

”Where to, gentlemen?”

The driver tentatively opened his mouth, followed by a deathly silence.

The heat, combined with this oppressive atmosphere, caused a sheen of sweat to form on the driver’s forehead.

About half an hour later, the taxi stopped in front of a jewelry store. The two bald men got out almost simultaneously, striding towards the store with synchronized steps.
