Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 957: Chapter 45: The Fifth Game and Open Schemes

After going through countless hardships, Su Xiao finally gathered the Demon Hunting Suit, which made him speculate that the Demon Hunting Suit was so famous within Reincarnation Paradise not because of its attributes as a Dark Purple Suit, but because of its attributes after being upgraded to a Golden Suit.

Su Xiao had never seen a Golden Suit, not even heard of one. The Demon Hunting Suit was the only suit he had ever gathered. As for the other suit component he possessed, the King’s Honored Arm Armor, it was something he never dared to hope for. It was a set of four Light Gold Suit pieces which could grant some abilities of the golden flash once gathered, and its origin was unique to the Star Moon World, making it extremely difficult to collect.

Recalling the process of acquiring the Demon Hunting Suit, Su Xiao found himself speechless for a moment.

The Demon Hunting Ring was taken by force, the Demon Hunting Necklace was acquired in the War World, not through opening a Treasure chest. As for the Demon Hunting Gun, it was likewise not obtained through a Treasure chest; it was part of a collection Alice acquired after the deaths of other Contractors. The patterns on the Demon Hunting Gun were similar to those on other Demon Hunting components, which is why he noticed it; otherwise, he might have missed it.

With his luck running out, unable to get the Demon Hunting Suit from a chest, Su Xiao chose to snatch it or acquire it through other means.

Even the Divine Emperor and other Fourth-tier Contractors couldn’t obtain the Demon Hunting Suit, and now Su Xiao had managed to gather it all.

Su Xiao became vigilant, recalling how the travel group’s Gulu had been hunted down so tragically in the past merely for holding the Demon Hunting Ring. One could imagine how many hunters would pursue him if news spread that Su Xiao had obtained three pieces of the Demon Hunting Suit.

Perhaps even Fifth-tier Contractors would find it hard to resist the allure of the Demon Hunting Suit.

Suddenly, Su Xiao thought of something. That incident when Stan had sent people to hunt him down might be related to this. There was a possibility that Stan had learned he had acquired the Demon Hunting Ring from Gulu, prompting him to send hunters.

Considering the value that the Demon Hunting Suit now presented, it made perfect sense for Stan to pay a high price to have him chased down. Moreover, recalling the lineup of those who hunted Su Xiao at the time, it seemed quite reasonable.

Huang Yan was the main combat power, that fat Main Tank was a safety measure, and as for the Charism Specialized Contractors Butterfly, it also made sense to say she was responsible for reconnaissance, but there was another possibility: that Butterfly, using her ability, could completely control Su Xiao to get the Demon Hunting Ring.

The actions of the three were too abnormal at the time. After entering the Holy Grail World, they didn’t follow the original story or seek out Su Xiao; instead, they madly chased other Contractors, appearing to clear out that world.

Thinking back, it might have been a means to ”protect” Su Xiao, to prevent him from dying in a confrontation with other Contractors, which would result in the loss of the Demon Hunting Ring.

At that time, Butterfly and the fat Main Tank came to find Su Xiao, trying to shake off Huang Yan and capture Su Xiao to get the Demon Hunting Ring. The reward Stan promised would definitely differ depending on who acquired it.

If the three just wanted to kill Su Xiao, Butterfly and the fat Main Tank wouldn’t have acted ahead of time. If the goal was murder, all three would have participated, splitting the credit. Killing Su Xiao was just a smoke bomb, or a ploy by other organizations, intentionally left by Stan to confuse Su Xiao’s vision; the Demon Hunting Ring was their true objective.

If murder was really their intent, they wouldn’t have sent Butterfly, a Charism Specialized Contractor; a Third-tier Sniper could have easily killed Su Xiao. Butterfly’s presence clearly meant an intention to capture alive.

Thinking about this, Su Xiao squinted his eyes. If Stan really knew he had the Demon Hunting Ring, then either he or the Blood Gate Adventure Group would have to perish.

Dark Purple Suit, no, Golden Suit is too tempting. Stan would not easily give up, and his subordinate Blood Gate Adventure Group would also become Su Xiao’s enemy.

More precisely, Su Xiao and the Blood Gate are already in a fight to the death. After being hunted in the Holy Grail World, this became the nature of their relationship.

While contemplating, Su Xiao followed the wolf steward into the elevator cabin, and soon, they returned near the Forest of the Strong on the fourth layer.

The breeze blew, rustling the leaves, and a few dead leaves on the ground were lifted by the forest wind.

The dead leaves fluttered near Su Xiao, and he instinctively tilted his head to dodge them; it was an intuitive reaction.

”The fifth game is about to begin. Before that, regarding the information related to that intelligence, you can name your price.”

While pondering how to eliminate Blood Gate, the trading intention proposed by the wolf steward made Su Xiao wary.

It seemed like a normal trade, yet it might imply that the wolf steward was certain Su Xiao wouldn’t survive the fifth game, and even if he managed to endure it, he wouldn’t live much longer.

Thinking of this information, Su Xiao felt a bit puzzled. Was the fifth game really that difficult? Or was it a trap, Alice’s final means to kill him?

”If you want that intelligence, first tell me the content of the fifth game.”

Su Xiao’s high vigilance made the wolf steward secretly sigh; truly deserving of being a ’successor of those lunatics.’

”Okay.”

The wolf steward’s mouth curved into a grin, and grinning with a wolf’s head was never gentle.

”The fifth game has two types. The first type doesn’t take place on the fifth layer of the castle because the fifth layer of the ancient castle is open to everyone. The first game mode is the King’s Chess, and you don’t need to understand the rules of this game because you’ll be participating in the second type of game.

The second type of game takes place on the fifth layer of the Demon Castle, which also has another name: Void Colosseum—Yellow Sand and Blood. As long as you purchase a ticket, any Void race can come here to watch or compete. Each session of the arena imposes a limit on the strength of participants. This session’s strength limit is close to the queen clone’s strength, with no lower strength limit, a mix of the Fish Dragon, and various races gathered. This is the most striking feature of the Void Colosseum. I forgot to tell you, this session of the Void Arena has three million spectators, including bored powerhouses, traveling Mage Sages, or ordinarily strong Gacke Tribe members responsible for reporting—a wealth of extensive experiences and... ”

The wolf steward’s undisguised hostility resurfaced.

Knowing the contents of the fifth game sent a chill through Su Xiao’s heart; the fifth game was actually open to the entire Void.

This was actually a great opportunity to witness what the Void had to offer, but regrettably, Su Xiao did not want such an opportunity at all right now.

He inherited the Shadow of Annihilation Law and, although he wasn’t too knowledgeable about the organization, he did know one thing: the enemies of the Shadow of Annihilation Law were numerous beyond comprehension.

The Shadow of Annihilation Law is both righteous and evil; they maintain the elemental balance of the Void. They were originally part of the Order Faction, but the Shadow of Annihilation Law’s extreme tactics were fatal: dare to disrupt the elemental balance, death! All Mages, death! Those who contact the sixth through twenty-ninth Magic Net, death! All creatures that could potentially disrupt elemental balance, annihilated.

This extreme behavior rendered the Shadow of Annihilation Law faction Orderly Chaos, an existence even more feared than Lawful Evil.

Demons, Evil Dragon Clan, Dark Mages, etc., are Lawful Evil, but the Shadow of Annihilation Law is even more formidable as Orderly Chaos!

The fifth Void Colosseum game gathered more than three million spectators, and how many of them were enemies of the Shadow of Annihilation Law?

”There should be... quite a lot.”

Su Xiao mumbled, he could completely imagine a scene where he just activated Blue Steel Shadow, and all the powerful beings in the audience jumped down to attack him.

”Alice has really gone to great pains.”

Su Xiao didn’t look too happy, and seeing his expression, the wolf steward must be secretly amused.

”The information on the fifth game has been told to you; regarding that particular intelligence.”

The wolf steward was aiming to obtain intelligence related to ”mutation” from Su Xiao.

”Oh, I lied to you earlier. I didn’t intend to provide any intelligence on mutation. Thanks for explaining everything for so long; you’ve worked hard, wolf steward.”

Su Xiao patted the wolf steward on the shoulder and headed towards the sky ladder leading to the Void Arena.

”Do you have... not a shred of a strong man’s honor?”

The wolf steward’s whiskers quivered with anger.

”Honor of the strong? What is there to talk about with an enemy regarding the honor of the strong? Wolf steward, how old are you? Three? I am honest and honorable to friends, but you’re an enemy who has been trying to kill me from the start, and you and Alice have tricked me countless times. Have you forgotten so quickly? Now you talk to me about honor?”

Su Xiao stepped onto the sky ladder, with the wolf steward behind him clenching his fists, seemingly ready to kill Su Xiao on the spot, but he couldn’t. Previously, while in the descending wooden cabin, he indeed had an opportunity, but he was fooled by Su Xiao’s mention of ’mutation’.

”You madman of Annihilation Law.”

The wolf steward roared in fury.

”Thanks for the compliment.”

Su Xiao kept going, wanting to see for himself how many enemies of the Shadow of Annihilation Law existed within the Void. Moreover, as compared to a hypocrite, he preferred being an Evil Man, for against an enemy, an Evil Man abides by no rules.
