Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 994: Chapter 82: The Situation at Tier 3

Sweat seeped from Su Xiao’s forehead, his jaw muscles tense, red light flickered in his pupils.

”Slay Stan.”

Su Xiao murmured softly, then hesitated; even if he wanted to kill someone, he wouldn’t chant it to himself.

From the corner of his eye, he glanced at the smoke skeleton, which had grown to the size of a basin, seemingly grinning at Su Xiao.

Su Xiao immediately shut down the Core of Devour, although he very much wanted to continue devouring that pure life energy.

The Core of Devour indeed has no limits, but Su Xiao does. No matter how strong the ability, it cannot be upgraded indefinitely in a short time, especially with a berserk ability like Blue Steel Shadow. Of all the enemies he has faced so far, only a very few have not had their energy devoured by the Blue Steel Shadow energy.

Stopping the devouring, Su Xiao checked the spirit of the Dragon of Resurrection; it was still vibrant with life, though the energy inside was tremendous, it couldn’t withstand Su Xiao’s devouring.

Roughly estimated, Su Xiao devoured about a third of the energy inside the spirit, which left him slightly surprised, as he had originally thought he had devoured nearly half.

During the energy devouring process, Reincarnation Paradise provided many prompts, and Su Xiao opened these prompts.

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to Lv.34.]

[Due to the invasion of large amounts of pure life energy into your body, your Life Value is permanently increased by 50.]

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to Lv.35.]

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to Lv.36.]

[Due to the invasion of large amounts of pure life energy into your body, your Life Value recovery rate per minute permanently increased by 5.]

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to Lv.37.]

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to Lv.38.]

[Blue Steel Shadow has been upgraded to Lv.39.]

[Due to the invasion of large amounts of pure life energy into your body, your Body Defense is permanently increased by 4, and abnormal state resistance permanently increased by 3%.]

...

Blue Steel Shadow rose 9 levels, from Lv.30 to Lv.39. It’s important to note that after reaching Lv.30, the high-level biological energy required for each level increased exponentially. If upgrading from Lv.30 to Lv.31 needed 2 energy points, then to reach Lv.32, at least 4 points of energy were required.

Su Xiao seriously doubted whether he could upgrade the Blue Steel Shadow energy even by 1 level if he devoured a Tailed Beast.

The smoke skeleton dissipated; it would shrink over time. When it reduced to the size of a fist, Su Xiao could again devour the energy from the spirit.

As for letting Bubu Wang devour this energy, it had been tried before. After devouring pure life energy, Bubu Wang was noticeably energized, bouncing around like it had taken some substance, biting A Mu a few times, and then... nothing afterward, because Bubu Wang needed the flesh and blood of high-level creatures, not energy.

Skill 4: High-Level Organism (Active MAX): Bubute Ni can evolve by devouring the flesh and blood of high-level organisms.

...

The ability description clearly stated the attempt had failed, but since Su Xiao created A Mu, Bubu Wang’s combat strength has significantly increased.

Su Xiao opened the introduction to the Blue Steel Shadow skill. He wanted to see how much the Blue Steel Shadow Ability had improved.

[Blue Steel Shadow: Lv.39 (Active Skill)]

Usage condition: After activating (Blue Steel Shadow), the Hunter consumes 118 Mana Value per minute, and automatically deactivates when Mana Value drops below 1%.

Skill Effect: After activating (Blue Steel Shadow), each close combat attack will burn 205 Mana Value from the enemy and inflict 1.5x true damage of the burned Mana Value (328 true damage), causing the enemy to suffer intense pain from mana burning.

Lv.20 Additional Ability

Proud Song: This is a defending form, which can generate an energy shield of any shape to defend against enemy attacks. The strength of the energy shield is proportional to the consumed Mana Value, with a single mana consumption cap of 600 points (increased by 100 points).

Lv.30 Additional Ability

Soul Electrification: When Blue Steel Shadow energy burns the enemy’s Mana Value, it has a 16% chance to trigger one of three abnormal states: paralysis, immobilization, or dizziness (trigger probability increased by 4%). Abnormal state duration is 0.2 to 3 seconds (duration based on the Hunter’s Intelligence Attribute).

Note: This abnormal state can take effect without a check.

Note: This ability is passively triggered with no cooldown.

Note: Abnormal states cannot stack.

...

The increase in Mana Value consumption, even though Su Xiao now has 3526 Mana Value, if he continuously activates the Blue Steel Shadow Ability, his Mana Value would be depleted in about 30 minutes. Such expenditure is well worth it, with the high true damage of 328 points being nothing short of terrifying.

Continuously activating the Blue Steel Shadow Ability was Su Xiao’s approach during his rookie period. Now, he only activates the Blue Steel Shadow shortly before cleaving the enemy, drastically reducing Mana Value consumption. Blue Steel Shadow activation lasts around 0.7 to 1.4 seconds per blade at most, not exceeding 2 seconds.

Though Su Xiao did not receive attribute points or Paradise coins from the Ancient Castle World, his power has undergone tremendous change with the reward of four 80-point attributes, the creation of A Mu, significant enhancement of the Blue Steel Shadow ability, alongside several other factors. It’s difficult not to enhance combat strength.

Su Xiao’s remaining time in Reincarnation Paradise is running out, and before long, he will return to the real world. After relaxing his mind in the real world, he will face the next Derivative World.

Thinking about the next Derivative World, Su Xiao felt a bit curious. Although he just ascended to the third tier, his power already surpasses many third-tier contractors. So, where will Reincarnation Paradise transfer him next?

As for how Su Xiao knows his strength exceeds most third-tier contractors, this information came from Pibang.

Su Xiao had previously been under the misconception that all third-tier contractors broke through the 80-point barrier, but this wasn’t the case. Only a few people in the third tier had surpassed the 80-point barrier.

Su Xiao, alongside people like National Foot, grew extremely quickly, while the Detective Little Girl and Golden Glasses Man had been third-tier for quite some time. As for Pibang, he had also been third-tier for a long time, pursuing multiple attributes breaking 80 points, thus joining the Ancient Castle game later on.

According to Pibang, as long as Su Xiao doesn’t provoke the third-tier adventure groups or the top tier individuals, most third-tier contractors are not his opponents.

Breaking through the 80-point attribute barrier is something encountered from late third tier to around the fourth tier. Su Xiao, having just advanced to the third tier, already breached the 80-point barrier in four attributes, possessing four main attributes.

Su Xiao was very curious about how strong he is now, and verifying this isn’t difficult. The third-tier Arena has been refreshed, and because he didn’t make it into the top ten during the second tier, his ranking in the third-tier Arena was refreshed, putting him at the bottom and matched with third-tier newcomers.

Somehow, Su Xiao suddenly thought, is he going to bully the weak? To him, the Golden Glasses Man and Detective Little Girl, who have been in the third tier for a long time, are just about average in strength, especially the Detective Little Girl, who if faced against Su Xiao, would be overwhelmed in every imaginable way.

From the Detective Little Girl’s minimal words, it can be inferred that her strength is around the mid-level of the third tier.

Su Xiao found this puzzling, that little girl? Third-tier mid-level?

Though the Detective Little Girl’s strength isn’t impressive, those at the peak tier of the third tier are definitely formidable, such as Huang Yan. If Su Xiao were to face Huang Yan now, he’d likely be the one to fall. Huang Yan is not without the ability to advance to the fourth tier; he has been deliberately suppressing himself. Stan is fourth-tier, and when entering the Derivative World, it is the fourth-tier subordinates under Stan’s management, while third-tier subordinates fall under Huang Yan’s control.

There’s a rumor that if Stan and Huang Yan were to engage in a fight to the death, Stan wouldn’t necessarily win. Huang Yan is essentially a monster among the third tier, disguised as third-tier but possessing fourth-tier strength as a contractor.

So powerful is Huang Yan that he isn’t without rivals in the third tier. His rival is one of Divine Emperor’s subordinates, a support-class contractor named Crazy Fox, whose combat strength is shockingly high for a support class, being a healing type among supports.
