Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 984: Chapter 72: Return

The condition for Su Xiao helping Sha break out was to release all the tenants. Is it Su Xiao’s conscience waking up? Of course not, the lives of these tenants are irrelevant to him.

Ask yourself, if all these tenants escape, who would be the angriest? The answer is Alice.

Who knows how many years Alice spent imprisoning so many strong individuals on one level? Some were even imprisoned successfully with the help of the ancient castle. It’s Alice’s labor of love and her hobby—watching those once mighty beings who roamed the Void now confined in tiny rooms, some even wagging their tails and begging her.

Alice, who was once imprisoned herself, thoroughly enjoys this feeling. She treats these powerful individuals as her collection, as for the tenants gradually breaking the seals through transactions with gamers to regain freedom, this is utterly impossible.

When those strong individuals break the seal through transactions with gamers, the energy extraction device in the Forest of the Strong on the fourth level becomes their fate, injected with vitality liquid daily, their bodies produce energy only to be immediately extracted by the ancient castle, used to maintain its normal operation—a true living hell and trapped in despair.

For those ’unsealed’, Alice has seen enough of their ’performance’; when she tires of them, she throws them to the fourth level. Freedom is impossible to attain.

The anger in the hearts of these tenants, confined for years and at the mercy of Alice—rubbing her face into the ground a million times couldn’t alleviate it.

What if all these people escape? The answer is they will freely embrace liberty, use every means to grow stronger, and once strong enough, they’ll return to the castle to take revenge on Alice.

That’s Su Xiao’s objective. In previous games, Alice tried multiple times to kill Su Xiao, failing each time, she then opted to reveal Su Xiao’s identity to the public, to let everyone know Su Xiao was the Shadow of Annihilation Law.

The identity of Shadow of Annihilation Law means nothing in Reincarnation Paradise. No one would seek trouble for a profession inheritance, but it’s different in the Void—there are many enemies of the Shadow of Annihilation Law.

This was Alice’s open scheme; within the castle, unable to kill Su Xiao by bypassing the rules, she started building enemies for Su Xiao in the Void.

Clearly, Alice succeeded.

Due to the vast difference in their strengths, Su Xiao didn’t initially think of taking immediate revenge on Alice, lacking both opportunity and bad timing.

Now the situation is different—releasing all the tenants on one level amounts to creating dozens of relentless enemies for Alice. These individuals, freed with only one aim, will constantly strengthen themselves and return for vengeance against Alice.

If Alice truly falls into the hands of these people, the outcome...

Bang, bang...

Sounds of hammering and impacts resonate; Sha is assisting a tenant in breaking down a wooden door. The two are inside and outside, creating cracks rapidly across the door, hundreds of times more efficient than breaking from the inside.

With a loud crash, the wooden door shatters, and a dark red bat bursts out from the room.

”Ah~ This is the feeling of freedom.”

The bat shivers its body, raising two fleshy wings—he’s the Blood Marquis.

Sha ignores the Blood Marquis, moving to destroy another wooden door. Is Sha doing this to keep her promise? Of course not, for there exists an external exit on one level of the ancient castle, but it equally has restrictions that she alone cannot break.

The Blood Marquis gazes around, seeking the exit, not mentioning the benefits promised to Sha.

”Congratulations on regaining a small fraction of freedom.”

Su Xiao speaks while walking toward the Blood Marquis.

”Hmm? Who are you?”

The attitude of the Blood Marquis isn’t particularly friendly.

”Firstly, you’ve only broken through the wooden door, there’s still a level of barrier you cannot pass through between yourself and full freedom.”

Su Xiao points to a metal door on the east side of one level, on which the light patterns flicker; each light pattern is as thick as an arm. You should know the light patterns on the wooden door were only as thin as a hair.

”If I were you, I’d immediately help other tenants break down the wooden doors, and then work together to destroy that thing. Only by destroying that thing will you truly be free.”

Su Xiao’s proposal is immediately accepted. The Blood Marquis isn’t foolish. He turns and charges toward a wooden door, gathering a blood glow in his mouth, spraying it violently on the door, while the tenants inside rejoice greatly.

Quickly, seven tenants of different races surge out from the wooden doors, and Su Xiao promptly negotiates with them, the contents being simple: to let them understand the current situation.

The thing these tenants desire most is freedom, demonstrating astonishing ’unity’ and ’friendship,’ for they all share the same purpose.

All tenants who’ve broken out assist in releasing others, even An Liya wielding a wooden plank hammering furiously against an intact wooden door. An Liya is the little girl who asked Su Xiao for candy, later providing many letters of recommendation after Su Xiao’s ’friendly’ interactions.

Five minutes later, all tenants have escaped the wooden doors, about dozens of them, assembling together and employing various methods to attack one level’s metal door.

Meanwhile, Su Xiao continually blends something. Soon, he prepared a black liquid, emitting a foul stench.

Carefully encasing the black liquid in a test tube, Su Xiao approaches the metal door.

”Move aside.”

Su Xiao sidesteps, tossing the test tube toward the metal door.

Several tenants quickly dodge away; with a loud crash, the test tube shatters upon hitting the metal door, releasing a pungent stench. The light patterns on the metal door visibly dim.

”You’re in luck; I am an alchemist.”

Su Xiao continues blending the black liquid; tenants jubilantly discover the light patterns on the metal door dimming, intensifying their assault on the door.

A half-hour later, Su Xiao has prepared five bottles of black liquid. Each time black liquid splashes onto the metal door, the light patterns dim for several seconds during which the metal door is its most vulnerable.

The tenants all noticed this, and they no longer attacked the metal door blindly but conserved their stamina. Whenever Su Xiao threw a test tube at the metal door, they would unleash terrifying attacks instantly. This way, the efficiency of destroying the metal door increased at least tenfold.

Su Xiao shook the test tube in his hand, intensely focused on his concoction. Around him, over a dozen tenants with terrifying auras stood in a circle with their backs to him. At this moment, if anyone dared to attack Su Xiao, they would instantly transform into mad dogs, rushing to kill the attacker.

”Quick. Quick, quick...”

A tenant muttered continuously, and Su Xiao frowned.

”Shut up.”

As soon as Su Xiao spoke, dozens of eyes turned to the muttering tenant. These eyes carried killing intent, anger, and ferocity, causing the tenant, once a desperado, to immediately fall silent.

”It’s done. This time, we’ll destroy this restriction in one go.”

Su Xiao glanced at the dozens of tenants, and they all nodded, indicating they were ready to attack the metal door.

Su Xiao threw the test tube, Blood Marquis, Sha, and others prepared themselves.

With a shattering sound, the test tube broke, black liquid splattering, and the glowing patterns on the metal door dimmed. These glow patterns formed an alchemy array diagram; though Su Xiao couldn’t crack it, he could weaken it temporarily. His alchemy wasn’t just for show.

”Scorpion Tail Whip!”

”Blood·Destruction.”

”Soul Storm.”

”Flash Cannon.”

...

Thud!

A dull sound rang out, and a powerful shockwave pushed Su Xiao back. He instinctively shielded his face with his arm.

A moment later, the impact dissipated, and all the tenants on the first floor vanished. Outside the shattered metal door came wild laughter and roars.

Within two seconds, these sounds faded, and all the tenants successfully escaped. The first floor of the ancient castle seemed swept by a typhoon.

Su Xiao sat cross-legged on the ground, quietly waiting.

After waiting for a full five hours, a spatial fluctuation appeared, and a woman wearing a crown and a gold long dress emerged.

The woman wore a gentle smile, looking a bit travel-worn and slightly fatigued. From the intense spatial fluctuation, it was clear she had undergone long-distance space teleportation.

However, upon seeing the situation on the first floor of the ancient castle, the gentle smile on her face gradually disappeared.

”You seem to have returned late, Alice.”

Su Xiao sat cross-legged on the ground, a cigarette between his fingers, smiling.

”...”

Alice’s face showed anger.

”If I were one of those tenants, imprisoned for so many years, I would do everything to become stronger, then return to take revenge on someone. Hanging is a good choice; I’ve heard there’s a place in the Void called Void platform, hang there.”

The Void platform, a piece of information Su Xiao obtained from the National Team. The three brothers of the National Team, who for some reason knew that Alice was once nearly hanged at a place called Void platform, spent 50,000 Paradise coins for this piece of information.

A medal flew out from Alice’s sleeve. She hurriedly tried to grab this medal, but with a crackling sound, lightning flashed, and Alice withdrew her arm.

This medal was the ’Game Winner’s Badge.’ As long as one passed the ancient castle game, Alice had to award this. Just now, Alice attempted to forcibly withhold this badge, but Reincarnation Paradise prevented her from doing so.

Su Xiao snatched the badge, and a prompt appeared. He could return to Reincarnation Paradise at any time.

”Sooner or later, I’ll peel your skin and turn your flesh into steaks, and it will be a feast that brightens one’s mood.”

Alice almost gritted her teeth while saying this. Previously, she had to leave the ancient castle, but when she rushed back, all the tenants on the first floor had escaped. Even though those tenants had marks, the distance was too far for her to sense them anymore. It wouldn’t be long before those tenants erased these marks and unlocked the sealing on their strength, eventually growing stronger by any means, all to take revenge on her.

Thinking of this, Alice wished to swallow Su Xiao whole. Although she didn’t yet know whether the tenants’ escape had anything to do with Su Xiao.

”You’ll come to the Void again soon, and by then, countless people will hunt you down.”

Alice very much wanted to kill Su Xiao right then, but she couldn’t.

”The howling of a defeated dog.”

Su Xiao flicked away the cigarette butt in his hand, choosing to return to Reincarnation Paradise.

Bam!

Su Xiao felt a heavy blow on the back of his head, lost consciousness after a moment of darkness—this was Reincarnation Paradise’s teleportation.
