Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The Pope was talking about something that Red Ponytail had already known while investigating with ”Ratziel”.

Speaking of which, when Red Ponytail first arrived in this world, it was quite strange. Just like her doubt, only nobles can use magic, commoners can’t, which is indeed odd. Because, from a probabilistic perspective, even if it’s one in a million, it’s impossible for such a bizarre situation to occur where no commoner has magical aptitude. Due to this, Red Ponytail had conducted an investigation on it.

All of this traces back to the Founder.

Six thousand years ago, in another world, there once existed two races. One was ”Varang”, who could not use magic but could craft various tools and equipment, while the other was the ”Maki Clan”, who could use magic. For reasons unknown, they went to war, and the well-equipped Varang pushed the Maki Clan into retreat. To avoid the extinction of his clan, one mage opened a gate to the Otherworld, allowing his people to flee to a new world to escape the pursuit of Varang.

And that person was the Founder.

Indeed, simply put, all the magic-using nobility in this world are not native residents but outsiders. They came to this world six thousand years ago and established their own country. The native residents of this world were the Barbarians and Elves. Initially, they lived in harmony with the Elves, but later... something happened that changed their relationship.

After the Maki Clan immigrated to this world, the Founder discovered the secret of this continent, even found the root cause — the cause of the continent’s destruction was in the Elf Mountains, regarded as a Holy Land by the Elves. In fact, the mountain itself was a massive Elf Stone. It absorbed unparalleled power, spreading it to every corner of the continent, eventually erupting.

The Founder found a way at that time, which was to use his magic to completely destroy that mountain, thereby eliminating the crisis on this continent.

However, the Elves refused to accept this, regarding the mountain as sacred. As long as they lived there, no matter what changes happened on the continent, it wouldn’t affect them. Negotiations ended in failure.

Ultimately, the Founder made a decision.

Using the Void Magic he mastered, he destroyed the Holy Mountain in one blow, along with the cities of the Elves beneath it, causing half of the Elves to perish under the Founder’s magic, and the continent was saved.

But for the Elves, the Founder, who destroyed the Holy Mountain and killed their kin, was nothing short of a Demon.

For this reason, the relationship between Elves and humans started deteriorating rapidly, evolving into the current situation.

”Wait a minute.”

However, upon hearing this, Tabasa suddenly asked.

”Didn’t the Founder already find the root of the problem and eliminated the Holy Mountain? Why is the same disaster occurring again after six thousand years?”

This time, it was Red Ponytail, yawning, who answered her.

”It’s simple, it wasn’t cleaned up enough.”

”Eh?”

Faced with this unexpected answer, everyone was stunned, while Red Ponytail patted her belly and picked up an orange from the side.

”You talk about the Founder and such, but in the end, he’s just a mage, right? No matter how powerful among mortals, he’s ultimately just a mortal. When strength is insufficient, isn’t that how it is? Not cleaned up completely, leaving a bit of a tail, you’ve had six thousand years to buffer, and it’s still not enough. Though I guess the Founder didn’t expect his descendants to be so useless, six thousand years and still in this state...”

With that, Red Ponytail snorted lightly. So, feudal civilization stifles the development of productivity. Six thousand years, and these people give the impression of having lived only six hundred years. Wonder what the Founder would think seeing his descendants becoming such a group of losers.

”...”

Upon hearing this, everyone didn’t know what to say for a while, while Red Ponytail smiled cheerfully at the Pope.

”But, I’m really curious, do you truly think your level of civilization is enough to reclaim the Holy Land?”

Exactly, the Pope’s so-called ”Holy Land” is not the land occupied by elves that people imagine, but the land of another world behind the Teleportation Gate.

The world where the ”Staff of Destruction” exists.

Another Earth.

This is also why Red Ponytail felt no waves in her heart but rather wanted to laugh when hearing the Pope talk about the Holy War.

She had already investigated, and if nothing unexpected happens, that world’s ”Earth” should be the world where Mel and Meiyin lived before they transmigrated, thus explaining why there are many transmigrators in this world. Hence, Mel and Meiyin’s teleportation to the Otherworld becomes quite normal.

But the problem is, the civilization of that world’s Earth... is in the 21st century.

And this world?

A bunch of Middle Ages natives... hahaha.

Of course, they are Middle Ages natives who can use magic.

But still Middle Ages natives, huh?

If they really attacked, who would invade whom is uncertain.

”I’m just curious where your confidence comes from. Six thousand years ago your Founder got beaten to a pulp and had to run with tail between legs. Do you now have half the capability of the Founder to dare clamor to retake the continent?”

Red Ponytail could almost imagine these people from this world riding horses and wearing armor rushing into Earth’s territory, only to be crushed into fragments by bombers and tanks.

Are you sure you aren’t going to send yourselves to death?

”Anyway, it’s our only chance, I know all of this, but for survival, we have no choice.”

The Pope’s face turned somewhat dark, yet he still explained helplessly.

”No choice my ass, simply you can’t do it. Give it to me and it’ll be done.”

Red Ponytail yawned.

”I won’t allow you to invade other worlds, but the issue you mentioned is indeed a problem, so as long as I solve it, then there’s no problem, right.”

”That’s true, but... how do you plan to solve it?”

”Leave it to me, I have a way.”

Red Ponytail waved her hand.

”However, I have one condition.”

”What condition?”

”Hand over your Power of Nothingness.”

”Wha...?”

At this, the Pope’s expression changed instantly.

”What do you mean by this?”

”To put it simply? Hmm, frankly speaking, the Power of Nothingness originally used by your Founder belonged to the same Deity as my master. Now my master wants to reclaim that power, so I’ve come to take it back. Since you say you’re only trying to save this world, hand over the power.”

As she spoke, Red Ponytail extended her hand, making a gesture of taking money towards the Pope.

Seeing Red Ponytail, the Pope hesitated for a moment.

”What if I refuse?”

”I don’t think you have a choice.”

Quickly, Red Ponytail smiled and provided the answer.

Eventually, the Pope made the decision, as Red Ponytail had said, he had no choice.

But...

”According to the prophecy, there should be four Void Inheritors...”

”I’m well aware of that.”

Red Ponytail appeared quite calm, clearly understanding the Pope’s meaning.

”But I can find the last one myself.”

Saying this, Red Ponytail glanced at Henrietta.

”Henrietta can go with me.”

”...Eh?”

Faced with this unexpected invitation, Henrietta was stupefied.

Thus, the meeting came to an end.

Although the world’s crisis surprised everyone, since the Divine Envoy from Another World was willing to assist, they naturally felt relieved. Of course, to be safe, they agreed to send personnel immediately upon returning to monitor and investigate the conditions of Windstone Veins around the world.

As for Henrietta, she followed Red Ponytail to Albion.

”Divine Envoy, why did you bring me along?”

Looking at Red Ponytail humming beside her, Henrietta was truly puzzled, while Red Ponytail shrugged.

”It’s simple, because the last Void Inheritor is your relative.

”My...relative?”

”Exactly, her father is the brother of Tolisstin’s former King; do you understand?”

”Are you talking about Duke Monte...?”

Hearing this, Henrietta instantly realized, but soon she furrowed her brows.

”But...I never heard of this...”

”Hehe, once you meet her, you’ll understand.”

As they talked, they walked, and soon reached a small village deep in the forest, mostly inhabited by children, among whom a girl sat by, telling them stories. Her voice was very warm and charming, quite pleasant. However, upon seeing the girl, Henrietta was surprised and stared wide-eyed.

The reason was simple: the girl had a pair of long, slender ears, albeit shorter than an Elf’s, but she clearly had Elf blood.

”This is...”

”That’s right, she’s the child of your uncle and his concubine...consider her your sister.”

”I’ve indeed heard Duke Monte might have taken an Elf as a concubine, but I’ve always thought it was just a rumor...”

Staring blankly at the girl, Henrietta suddenly didn’t know what to say.

”Alright, don’t stand here dumbly.”

Patting Henrietta, Red Ponytail gleefully walked forward.

”Let’s go greet her.”
