Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1703: Chapter 1701: The Approaching Shadow

Kuruk could be sure that he had never heard of any Void Ethereal Magic before, not even in legends was there a name like this.

”Is there really such a strange magic?”

”Of course! It’s much more powerful than the magic you’re learning now!”

At this point, Louise became very proud.

”This isn’t magic from this world, but magic from the world where SABER is! How about that! Surprised?”

”You say I’m surprised... ”

Kuruk looked around.

”But besides all this mess, I don’t even know what the effect of your magic is? And who knows what kind of tricks you’re up to here?”

”Alright, since that’s the case, let’s have a duel...”

”Ahem!”

However, before Louise could finish her sentence, Red Ponytail coughed, interrupting her words.

”Louise, have you forgotten? You’re just a beginner now, you don’t have the qualifications to provoke others, or do you want to end up like that crazy guy from yesterday?”

”Uh...”

Hearing Red Ponytail’s words, Louise was slightly reluctant, but still obediently put down her hand, which surprised Kuruk and made him widen his eyes in amazement, looking at Red Ponytail.

”Little sister, you’re amazing, it’s the first time I’ve seen Louise listen to someone like this! In the past, no one could ever persuade her.”

”I just look small, I’m not really that little...”

Red Ponytail helplessly retorted, but what can she do? Ever since she turned into Red Ponytail, she’s always been petite, there’s nothing she can do about it.

Thanks to her appearance, walking around the academy, people would constantly approach her, whether male or female, the first words out of their mouths were always ”little sister...” and girls would often exclaim ”so cute” while hugging her into their arms, making it hard for her to escape.

She even felt like dying.

Forget it, just treat it as playing a role-playing game, there’s really no big problem.

”No matter how you look at it, you’re a little sister.”

Kuruk teased, then looked toward the two again.

”But anyway, you started calling Louise by her name now?”

”It was Louise’s suggestion, and I think it’s more convenient.”

Red Ponytail shrugged, originally it didn’t matter to her what she was called, but Louise thought since Red Ponytail is the one teaching her magic, then she’s her teacher, so she doesn’t need to be called MASTER, but can be directly referred to by her name, to which Red Ponytail naturally had no objections, she should say it’s even more convenient.

However, Louise’s character made Red Ponytail somewhat curious; initially, she didn’t really like this heroine, after all when Red Ponytail watched the first episode of the animation, she couldn’t stand the heroine’s attitude toward the male lead, and immediately closed the corner.

Time travel without Long Aotian Aura could be tolerated, but being treated like a dog at the start was too much!

And speaking of that male lead, he really was a coward, getting beaten by a little girl without even trying to fight back, even if he didn’t hit women, he didn’t need to be such a wimp, right?

So at the time, Red Ponytail couldn’t continue watching the animation, after the first episode she just gave up.

Originally, after traveling to this world, she was thinking if Louise behaves like she did in the animation, how she could ”teach” her well, but Louise’s performance surprised Red Ponytail, not only was she not as unruly as in the animation, she seemed reasonable to some extent, although her personality was still quite arrogant.

But after understanding Louise’s past, Red Ponytail somewhat understood why she acted that way in the animation. Just like her alias ”Louise the Zero,” since childhood, Louise never succeeded in casting a spell, whether at home or the academy, which is naturally a huge pressure for a fourteen or fifteen-year-old girl. It’s like always getting zero on exams, without ever finding the reason, and everyone believes you’re stupid...

And when it came to summoning her familiar spirit, Louise put all her bets on it, since she had failed in other types of magic, only summoning magic was something all Mages could do, if she could successfully summon a familiar spirit, it would prove she is still a Mage.

But in the animation, Louise only summoned a useless cowardly commoner, no wonder she was so disappointed. Her subsequent actions towards the male lead were probably venting her anger. After all, for Louise, familiar spirit magic was her only lifeline, and this lifeline turning into this mess was indeed infuriating.

Yet now, with the successful summoning of Red Ponytail and under her guidance beginning to practice Psionic magic, Louise no longer constantly doubts her powers as she did in the animation, worrying about this and that... So, strength is the guarantee of confidence, without strength, you don’t know where confidence could come from.

In the animation, Louise was like that, without strength, hence lacking confidence, thus fearing loss — as a result, she tightly held onto the commoner she summoned, although he was cowardly, at least he was her possession.

If even her own familiar spirit abandoned her, then she would be completely doomed.

But now, Louise evidently no longer has such worries, as time passes day by day, she has confidently grasped a sort of ”magic” (written as magic, read as Special Ability), and her inner self is gradually becoming stronger, though... training is still needed.

”But indeed, practicing alone is too dull, if you don’t mind, please spar with Louise tonight, Ms. Kuruk.”

”Just call me Kuruk, adding Ms. sounds really uncomfortable.”

Kuruk waved her hand, then proudly looked at Louise.

”No problem, duel? It’s good too, before no one ever sparred with Louise, I want to see how powerful your so-called Void Ethereal Energy truly is!”

”You’ll find out!”

”Hoohoohoo, I hope you won’t cry, Louise the Zero.”

”By then, I’ll make sure you can’t even laugh!”

Both sides threatened each other, while Red Ponytail merely sighed, then looked over at the blue-haired girl not far away, who still silently kept her focus on a book — she seemed utterly unconcerned about what was happening here, just absorbed in her reading.

What a peculiar girl.

After carefully observing the blue-haired girl, before Red Ponytail could speak, Kuruk reached out and grabbed the blue-haired girl, then she continued reading while Kuruk directly led her away.

”We should head back too, SABER, what’s wrong?”

”Who’s that blue-haired girl? She looks quite interesting.”

”You mean Tabasa? That kid is pretty strange, who knows why she’s so close with Kuruk.”

Louise didn’t seem to care, she casually said a few words, hearing her answer, Red Ponytail nodded, no longer questioning further.

Just like that, the day at the academy ended peacefully, and when night fell, a few shadows sneaked around akin to students attempting to sneak out after room checks for an all-night internet café session.

”I’m amazed you didn’t run away, Kuruk!”

Removing her black cloak, Louise triumphantly pointed towards Kuruk across from her. Seeing this, Red Ponytail nodded with satisfaction, when they first sneaked out for training, Louise was frightened, worried about being discovered by the teacher, but now only a globe had passed, she acted like a seasoned wall-climbing youth.

So learning bad things is easy but learning good ones is hard...

”Zelupuster family members won’t ever avoid a challenge!”

It was evident Kuruk was well prepared, while Tabasa quietly stayed behind her holding a book as usual, resembling Kuruk’s eternal backdrop — in the dim night could she even see clearly?

”Ahem.”

Listening to their conversation, Red Ponytail had to cough once more.

”Let me remind you once again, this is just a spar, not a challenge.”

”I know!”

Both sides answered in unison, indicating they both understood.

But Red Ponytail doubted if they would really follow her words.

But whatever...

”Let’s start.”

”Then you make the first move.”

Kuruk looked at Louise, grinningly speaking. In her view, Louise had only studied magic for a week; regardless of the magic type, it was just the basics.

As for those explosive marks, Kuruk thought they were more like the result of Louise’s failed magic practice.

After all, hasn’t she always been like this?

”Hehehe... you will regret it!”

Upon hearing Kuruk’s remark, Louise also displayed a sly smile, then suddenly extended her hand.

Then...

”---------!”

The space suddenly twisted.

No spell text, no chant, no premonition, almost instantly a rotating black sphere appeared not far from Kuruk. Then Kuruk, along with the surrounding debris, floated into the air.

”Wait, wait, what’s this?”

Faced with this unimaginable situation, Kuruk was also shocked. She felt as if she were trapped in a swamp, with her limbs firmly bound, unable to move freely, only able to let the water flow of the swamp carry her in circles...

”Hehehe, like I said, you will regret it!”

While speaking, Louise reached out to Kuruk, made a ”grab” gesture, and Kuruk slowly floated towards Louise.

”Wait, wait, what are you doing?”

”Didn’t you want to know how I’m practicing magic?”

Saying this, Louise revealed her sharp little canine teeth.

”I’ll show you clearly now!”

Not good!

Though Kuruk didn’t know the situation, she was sure she was in trouble, as what Louise did just now didn’t seem like it would cause an explosive magic effect on the ground, then next...!

”Take this, Shockwave!!”

While shouting loudly, Louise swung her palm towards Kuruk.

”Boom!!”

In the next moment, the power of psionic energy turned into a strong impact force, directly launching Kuruk into the sky.

”Ah---------!!!”

Suddenly launched into the sky without warning, Kuruk screamed immediately. As a fire-based mage, she wasn’t able to ensure her safety in the sky, so she could only despairingly watch as she fell from the sky, getting closer to the ground...

However, at this moment, Tabasa, who had been watching from the side, raised her magic wand, and immediately a gentle breeze appeared, landing under Kuruk, avoiding her fate of almost being smashed to death.

”Humph, humph, how was that?”

Looking proudly at the pale-faced Kuruk, Louise’s mood couldn’t be better,

”Were you trying to kill me?! Stupid Louise?!”

”You asked for it, and I did hold back at the last moment!”

”You call that holding back? How could you learn magic so quickly?”

Kuruk was utterly incredulous, while Louise looked at her proud as ever.

”All taught by SABER, blame it on you for not summoning a good familiar spirit.”

”What did you say... fine, I admit I underestimated you just now, but now, I’ll show you the power of Warm Kuruk!”

”What Warm, it’s Passionate, isn’t seducing men your expertise?”

”You’re just jealous, Louise with no chest, even if you learned magic, you’re still Louise the Zero! Because your chest is zero!”

”You... Alright, alright, again, watch me flatten your chest, make it even flatter than mine!!!”

”Let’s see if you have the ability!”

”Um... sorry to interrupt.”

Seeing the two about to lose their heads, Red Ponytail raised her hand.

”What?”

”I suggest stopping here, because there’s an uninvited guest.”

”Uninvited guest?”

Hearing Red Ponytail speak, everyone was stunned. The next moment, they saw a huge shadow like a small mountain appear!

”Is that... a stone giant?”

”Why is a stone giant here?”

Looking at the stone giant as big as a mountain, everyone was shocked, and the next scene surprised them even more.

The stone giant suddenly raised its fist, punching the nearby academy wall, directly punching a hole through it!

And seeing this, Louise and Kuruk froze,

Is someone attacking the magic academy?

Is he out of his mind?!
