Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Follower?”

Facing Tabasa’s request, Red Ponytail was taken aback.

”You also want to sign a contract with me and become a Magical Girl?”

”Magical... Girl?”

”Yes, a believer of my Supreme God. After signing the contract, you can transform into a Magical Girl and gain great power... Hmm, but of course, there’s a price to pay.”

”So, what’s the price?”

Facing Tabasa’s question, Red Ponytail didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she looked at Tabasa meaningfully, then reached for the wine glass beside her, placing it in front of Tabasa and lowering her voice.

”All of this...”

”.....”

”Hahaha, just kidding, don’t take it seriously.”

Seeing Tabasa look as if she were about to drink poison for heroism, Red Ponytail laughed heartily and put the glass aside.

”Alright, but becoming a Magical Girl does have some restrictions, hmm... For example, after signing the contract, you’ll always remain as you are now. Your chest won’t get bigger, your height won’t increase, look at me... never mind, why am I saying this. But your lifespan won’t change, you can still live to be in your seventies or eighties. Of course, if you fall in love and have children, the power of being a Magical Girl will disappear, which is quite normal.”

At this moment, Red Ponytail spread her arms.

”After all, my Supreme God is the God of Magical Girls, not the God of Magical Housewives... And there’s no such thing as Magical Housewives in this world, right? If you give birth to a daughter, you can choose to pass the power to her or simply return it. And if you plan to use this power for evil deeds, that’s a definite no-no, like mass slaughtering or harming the innocent—if discovered, you’ll be struck by lightning, got it?”

”Seems like there’s nothing particularly strange... Though the idea of a Magical Housewife is indeed...”

Hearing this, Kuruk couldn’t help but comment from the side, though there wasn’t much else to say. But soon, she remembered something.

”But there will always be many troubling situations. You said not to harm the innocent, but there are always situations where it’s unavoidable, isn’t there?”

”That’s absolutely true.”

Red Ponytail nodded cheerfully.

”In fact, many people were born with this power and were used or treated as tools; similar things have happened. But at that time, it can only be said that their worldview, values, and outlook on life were not yet fully mature, and their spirit wasn’t strong enough to resist, so being forced to commit such crimes was unavoidable. However, once they sign a contract with my Supreme God, it’s different. As I said earlier, their submission to evil is because they didn’t have enough strong power and spirit to resist it. But since my Supreme God has given them great power, if they don’t train their spirit, it’s utterly meaningless.”

”But, what if the enemy is too strong?”

”Simple, call for help!”

”......Call for help?”

Tabasa and Kuruk glanced at each other at the unexpected answer, while Red Ponytail snorted softly, crossing her legs.

”Nonsense, if you can’t beat them, call for help! After forming alliances and burning yellow paper, you’re a member of the Heaven and Earth Society... Pfft, the Magical Girl family, don’t you know? Magical Girls rely on three things: being ruthless, loyal, and having many sisters. If someone bullies you, call for help! Magical Girls from other worlds can be called too; if you still can’t, call me, and if that’s not enough, call the boss! Clear and direct, if my Supreme God steps in, I refuse to believe there’s anything that can’t be solved!”

”Uh.....”

Hearing this, Kuruk and Tabasa were stunned, not knowing what to say.

Although they weren’t devout believers, they knew a bit about the Founder faith, and to them, matters of faith should be grave and sacred. But here... it feels a bit off, doesn’t it?

”Yet, the priests preaching the Founder faith always say the Deity watches over everyone...”

”The Founder faith is ancestor worship, not a real Deity, so of course, they can make up whatever they want. But the truth is, if you don’t say anything, how would the Deity know what you’re thinking? Actually, you see, this is really simple for me, just a Cleanse Spell solves the problem, right? But if you don’t say it, I would never have a chance to use it for your mother.”

Red Ponytail shrugged.

”See, it’s like Louise; if she didn’t want power to escape her predicament, I wouldn’t be here either. The same goes for Henrietta; if she didn’t wish for the country to grow strong, I wouldn’t help. And Tabasa, if you hadn’t come to me, how would I know your mother was suffering?”

”Ugh......”

At this point, both were speechless, as Red Ponytail’s words were so correct they couldn’t rebut.

”You must understand, there are people suffering at every moment in this world. Perhaps, while we’re drinking tea and chatting, someone is lying in an alley close to death calling out for their mom. But do I know? Even if the Deity is omniscient and omnipotent, they can’t watch over tens of millions day and night. We need to live, right? So, if there’s something wrong, report it, don’t always believe the Deity will see everything you do—well, then you just wait and see, there are too many believers to care for everyone.”

At this, Red Ponytail sipped some wine, while Tabasa and Kuruk’s worldview completely collapsed... should any priest or cleric hear this in a church outside, they’d consider it heretical disrespect to the Deity.

But now, these words come from the Deity’s envoy... how should that be regarded?

”So now? Do you want to sign a contract with me and become a Magical Girl?”

”...I am willing.”

Facing Red Ponytail’s inquiry, Tabasa nodded forcefully once more, this time without any hesitation in her eyes.

”I will protect my mother; I also want to avenge my father. I need great power, so I am willing to sign the contract and become a Magical Girl!”

”Great.”

Hearing Tabasa’s reply, Red Ponytail nodded in satisfaction, then reached out to place her hand on Tabasa’s head.

”Then let you become a Magical Girl.”

Then, Red Ponytail spoke.

In the next moment, dazzling blue Radiance emerged from Tabasa’s body, instantly enveloping her. Seeing this, Kuruk’s eyes widened. Watching her friend soon being engulfed by a gigantic Light Orb, then slowly rising.

Great, new transformation video material acquired.

Satisfactorily, Red Ponytail put away her personal terminal, nodded, and then snapped her fingers, the Light Orb dissipated, and Tabasa reappeared in front of the two.

Unlike before, at this moment, Tabasa was no longer wearing the academy uniform, but a deep blue long dress, holding a Rapier in her hands, wearing a tiny crown, looking almost like the Queen of Ice and Snow.

”Wow, it’s so beautiful, Tabasa.”

This time, Kuruk also widened her eyes, sincerely admiring, while Red Ponytail nodded.

”Not bad, looks pretty good.”

”Is this... my power?”

Tabasa looked at her own hands, she could feel a power surging inside her body, it’s her own, but also not solely her own. At least, the previous Tabasa never imagined she could possess such strength... even without a Magic Wand, she could cast spells, in that case...

Thinking this, Tabasa clenched her fists tightly.

In that case, she could avenge her father, kill the usurper, and end it all!
