Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

For Louise, the time that followed was hazy and busy for her.

She was awakened early by Waludo, then taken to the church, dressed in the attire that Albion had prepared for the bride, and even donned the bride’s flower crown. By all rights, this is a scene Louise had always desired, but for some reason, she was not happy at all, even somewhat terrified.

”What should I do? SABER?”

”You need to make this choice yourself.”

Facing Louise’s anxious inquiry, Red Ponytail smiled and patted her shoulder.

”You have made your choice, you must face the consequences, but whatever you choose, I will be by your side.”

”.........Mm.”

Upon hearing this, Louise seemed finally relieved a lot, she smiled at Red Ponytail, and at that moment, the wedding was about to begin.

Or perhaps it had already begun.

The whole wedding was incredibly simple; after all, this was the last battle. Apart from the Prince of Wales, there was no one else present, no guests, no guards, and it seemed devoid of any romantic atmosphere. However, those present did not seem to mind this slight.

”Then, the ceremony has begun.”

Looking at the couple in front of him, the Prince of Wales nodded and then started reading the ceremonial proclamation.

”Groom, Baron Waludo, do you swear by the name of the Founder that you will respect her, protect her, and marry her?”

”I swear.”

Faced with the Prince of Wales’ inquiry, Baron Waludo replied, and then the Crown Prince turned to Louise.

”Bride, Louise Francois Le Blanc de La Vallière, do you swear by the name of the Founder......”

”............”

Quietly standing beside Baron Waludo, Louise felt not a shred of happiness nor joy; on the contrary, she felt as if she were a sacrifice offered to a monster, about to be swallowed by it while watching helplessly. Louise’s unease was heightened by the fact that this feeling didn’t come from anywhere else but directly from Waludo beside her!

Help me! Someone save me!

”Then, bride, do you agree?”

”I.........”

Upon hearing the Crown Prince’s question, Louise paused. As long as she nodded and agreed, the ceremony would end. But......

”I.........”

Yet, just as Louise was about to refuse, she suddenly felt her body abruptly sink.

Then she felt like she was being manipulated by something, unable to move at all.

She couldn’t speak, not even utter a word!

This is...... Magic? Someone is using magic to control me?

”I......”

I do not agree!

”Humph.”

However, as Louise slowly opened her mouth to speak, she suddenly heard a cold snort in her ear, and the magic binding Louise was instantly released, and simultaneously a low groan echoed from outside the church.

”I do not agree!”

Taking advantage of the moment when the magic binding was lifted, Louise shouted loudly; faced with this sudden development, the Crown Prince and Waludo were both stunned.

”Bride, do you not agree?”

”Yes!”

While speaking, Louise took two steps back, distancing herself from Baron Waludo.

”Baron Waludo, what are you trying to do? Using magic to control me!”

”What? Did you do such a thing?”

Hearing Louise’s accusation, the Crown Prince was taken aback as well, looking at Waludo in dissatisfaction. Waludo’s face showed a slight panic, then he smiled again at Louise.

”Sorry, my dear Louise, I was just too anxious, because look, weren’t you very nervous? I was afraid you wouldn’t be able to complete the ceremony, so I thought to do this......”

”No, I don’t want to hear it, I won’t marry you!”

Upon hearing Louise’s resolute rejection, Waludo’s face immediately changed. He reached out, grabbing Louise.

”Louise, I will get the whole world, and you are necessary for this! Your ability! Your power!”

”My... my power?”

Louise dumbfoundedly looked at Waludo, not knowing what to say for the moment, while Waludo appeared to be possessed, shouting frantically.

”Louise, have you forgotten what I used to say? You will grow into a superb mage no less than the Founder! It’s just you haven’t recognized this talent, you summoned the legendary familiar ’Gandaruu’, which is the best evidence! Soaring in the sky, the Metal Dragon, if we can obtain that, the whole world will kneel before us!”

”You, you are talking about......”

Louise was thoroughly frightened now. In her memory, Waludo always faced her with a gentle smile, but now this man had a twisted expression, looking like a bandit about to attack her.

”Hey, Viscount, if you’ve been dumped, you should accept it gracefully......”

The Crown Prince had walked over at this moment as well, grabbing Waludo’s hand, only to be pushed aside.

”Get away from me!”

Waludo pushed the Crown Prince aside, causing him to freeze as well.

”You.........!”

”Louise, don’t you understand? Your talent is essential to me.”

”You...... you.........”

Louise was shaking all over with rage at this moment.

”I see; you don’t love me at all, only the nonexistent ability of mine; how dare you marry me for such a reason, it’s nothing but an insult, you...... you.........”

Louise opened her mouth to say something, but in the end, she could only stomp angrily.

”You’re just lusting after my body, how low!!”

”Pfft!!”

Hearing this, Red Ponytail almost spit out a mouthful of water. At that moment, Waludo showed that gentle expression once more.

”Even if I say so, does it still not work? My dear Louise!”

”No, who would marry you!”

”Is that so......”

Upon hearing this, Waludo sighed deeply, then lowered his head.

”I initially hoped to win your heart, thinking you were straightforward and easy to obtain, but did not expect it to turn out this way; fine, since that’s the case, let’s achieve another goal first.”

”Goal?”

”Exactly.”

As he said this, Waludo’s lips curved slightly in a cold smile.

”My trip this time has three objectives, marrying you was just one of them; if it can’t be achieved, then proceed with the other two.”

”The other two......”

”The first was you, Louise, regrettably failed; the second goal is the letter from Henrietta in your pocket.”

”What?”

Hearing this, Louise was stunned.

”As for the third goal......”

Swift as a thought, suddenly Waludo picked up the Magic Wand and chanted a spell toward the Crown Prince. With a speed like a flash, the wand whooshed to pierce the Crown Prince’s chest, but just at that moment, a red light flashed.

”Clang!!”

The magic wand in Waludo’s hand was cut in two, and in the next moment, a burning crimson greatsword rested against his neck.

”Hey, did you forget about my existence?”

Red Ponytail yawned, squinting at Waludo. Jokers are not to be feared, but running wild in front of me is just too rude.

At this moment, the Crown Prince also realized what was happening, angrily glaring at Waludo.

”Are you part of the Restoration Alliance?”

”That’s right!”

Seeing the situation exposed, Waludo simply admitted it.

”I am a member of the Albion Restoration Alliance.”

”Why?!”

Hearing this, Louise shouted in surprise.

”You’re a noble of Tolisstin!”

”We are doing this for the future of this continent, that’s why we formed a transnational alliance. Haruk Ghinia will unite in our hands, and we will reclaim the Holy Land where the Founder descended!”

”I make no judgment on your methods, but your ideals are commendable.”

Red Ponytail nodded, and upon hearing her sentiments, Waludo smiled.

”Can you understand our thoughts, Gandaruu?”

”Correction, I am SABER. Frankly speaking, your motives don’t concern me, whether you want to rule the world or reclaim the Holy Land, in the end, unifying a civilization is always a good thing. Of course, there’s bound to be all sorts of trouble along the way.”

Red Ponytail shrugged and replied, ”Qin Shi Huang is a great emperor, but he wasn’t a saint. Unifying the world along the king’s path is just a main theme in novels and games. In reality, Qin Shi Huang’s methods in sweeping across the Six Kingdoms weren’t necessarily any better than the Restoration Alliance, nor were his ideals more noble. But regardless of motives, practices, methods, at least from the result, a unified Chinese civilization has endured for thousands of years, unlike other ancient civilizations that turned to history’s dust.”

That’s enough.

As for the hundred thousand surrendered soldiers massacred, the laborers who died at the foot of the Great Wall, and the burning of books and burying of scholars, those were inevitably unavoidable.

”So are you willing to assist us?”

”It’s up to my master.”

As she spoke, Red Ponytail looked towards Louise.

”I said your ideals are admirable, but you’re not the only ones with such aspirations. Hundreds of years ago and hundreds of years from now, many have had similar ideas. Right now there’s the Restoration Alliance, and in a hundred or two hundred years, there might be another alliance trying to rule the world. So I don’t care, it’s up to my master’s decision. At least for me personally, ruling the world isn’t something worth my special attention.”

”Louise.........”

Hearing this, Waludo once again looked at Louise, who gritted her teeth and threw off the bride’s cloak on her body.

”You’re a traitor, and I will never forgive a traitor!”

”Then there’s nothing to be done.”

Hearing this, Red Ponytail shrugged, and before Waludo could say anything more, she twisted the greatsword in her hand and stabbed it directly into his heart. In the next moment, flames erupted, rapidly burning Waludo to ash.

”.........”

Watching Waludo completely vanish in the flames, Louise stood there blankly, as if soulless. Red Ponytail waved the greatsword in her hand and then looked at the Crown Prince.

”I really didn’t expect this guy to be a traitor.”

”Yeah.........”

The Prince of Wales’ expression was also somewhat bitter, and Red Ponytail stared at him.

”Honestly, is it worth it?”

”.........”

Faced with Red Ponytail’s blunt question, the Crown Prince was silent for a moment.

”I’ve made up my mind, this is the last thing I can give her.”

”A lapdog gets nothing in the end, Your Highness.”

Red Ponytail shook her head helplessly.

”You’re about to lose your country, don’t you want to keep a memento or something?”

”This is a man’s dignity.”

Saying this, Welsh removed the ring from his hand and handed it to Red Ponytail.

”Please pass this on to her for me.”

”Alright...... So we’re leaving, farewell, Your Highness.”

”I wish you all the best, I too must join the fight.”

Picking up his magic wand again, the Crown Prince nodded at Louise and Red Ponytail, then quickly walked out of the chapel. At this point, Red Ponytail approached Louise’s side and patted her face.

”Are you back to your senses? We should leave.”

”Ah...... Mm......”

Louise still seemed like she was sleepwalking, nodding blankly, and Red Ponytail said nothing more, directly pulling her onto the aircraft and swiftly flying away—completely ignoring the warships surrounding the royal palace.

”Boom!!!”

The tightly closed door was blown open, and then a group of fully armed soldiers stormed in. Upon seeing these soldiers, the old king sitting on the throne showed no change in expression, while the Welsh Prince at his side curled up the corner of his lips, showing a slight smile. Just then a man in clerical garb, looking like a Holy Practitioner, walked in.

”I really didn’t expect it to be you.”

Looking at the Holy Practitioner in front of him, the old king snorted coldly.

”Oliver Cromwell.”

”Hehehe, Your Majesty, how do you do? I am the current commander-in-chief of the Restoration Army, though this is merely the result of a vote by the Noble Council.”

”Hmm, I really didn’t expect you to come in person.”

”After all, this is a historic moment; how could I be absent?”

The man referred to as Cromwell raised his hands.

”From today, Albion’s history will be completely changed! The Albion Royal Family will become history, and we will be the creators of new history! We are the chosen ones, united to reclaim the Holy Land from those dreaded fairies—this is the mission the Founder has bestowed upon us!”

”What a dream.”

In response to Cromwell’s statement, the Welsh Prince snorted coldly, while Cromwell remained unfazed.

”Nevertheless, there’s only you left here now. Honestly, I was worried you might have escaped on that terrifyingly fast Iron Dragon.”

”The Albion Royal Family never runs, and indeed......”

At this point, the Prince of Wales raised his head.

”We have the Founder’s blessing.”

”The Founder’s blessing?”

Hearing this, Cromwell looked puzzled. He raised his head, following Welsh’s gaze upward, and then stared in shock—above the hall, a light orb shining like a star caught his attention.

”What, what is that......?”

”Feel the Founder’s wrath, Cromwell! This is your retribution!”

As the Prince of Wales’ words fell, the light orb suddenly emitted a dazzling radiance. With the next moment, pitch darkness exploded, spreading in all directions, enveloping everything.

”———————!”

Just in an instant.

From afar, the entire King’s City suddenly quaked, then an enormous rotating Black Hole emerged out of thin air, rapidly expanding to swallow everything within, and then vanished in an instant.

The King’s City, the castle, everything disappeared without a trace, leaving only a distinct circular gap in the ground to prove what had just occurred.

”Wh-what was that?!”

Standing on the deck, the warship commander stared dumbfounded at the scene. He couldn’t fathom what had just happened before his eyes.

What on earth was going on?!
