Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1550: Chapter 1548: Our Mission

The Magic Eye Collecting Train genuinely wants to refuse Fang Zheng’s request.

Although the owner has left, these magic eyes remain the pride of the train. How could they just be casually sold? These magic eyes are the treasure of the train!

How can they be sold?!

Even in death, I would rather...

Sell them.

What else can be done?

While the staff of the Magic Eye Collecting Train is deeply unhappy, looking at the Heroic Spirits observing with tiger eyes from the side, they have no choice but to yield. In the world of magecraft, it is also survival of the fittest. They are certain if they refused, Miss Red Ponytail would simply take them without a word, and there would be nothing they could do.

If taken away forcefully, the loss would be catastrophic, but selling them at least allows for some profit, right?

Who would have thought their careless invitation would bring this scourge upon them?

Helpless, the train staff have to accept it. Out of spite, they also quoted a high price—yet Fang Zheng nodded and agreed without batting an eye.

It’s just the CIA’s entire fiscal budget for this year going down the drain. What’s the big deal? Anyway, it’s impossible to trace it back to me. Besides, if they dare to come knocking, I’ll burn down the White House in minutes.

However, the train staff won’t just accept defeat so easily. When confirming the handover, they couldn’t resist bringing up again.

”I’m sorry, due to the agent manager’s health, we cannot perform the magic eye transplant for others...”

”Oh, it’s fine.”

Fang Zheng remained calm.

”The World Tree of a Thousand Realms can handle the removal and transplant of magic eyes ourselves; we don’t need any help from you.”

”............”

This left the staff of the Magic Eye Collecting Train utterly speechless.

The Library of Ten Thousand Demon Eyes was directly taken by Fang Zheng, and after arriving in London, the Magic Eye Collecting Train dropped off all passengers and quickly fled in disgrace... This time, the train’s reputation was completely tarnished, and who knows if it’ll recover someday.

Before leaving London, Fang Zheng finally met the true ruler of the El-Melloi Clan—Lainis Ezelma El-Melloi Archisorte.

”I’ve long admired your name, Miss Red Ponytail.”

Lainis smiled while looking at Red Ponytail across the table.

”I’ve already heard of your exploits from my elder brother.”

”I didn’t know he even had a sister.”

Fang Zheng spoke while glancing at the silent Lord El-Melloi II sitting beside her.

”I’ve wondered how you could inherit Kenneth’s position. So that’s the beauty trap at work, understand, understand.”

”I am not...”

Upon hearing this, Lord El-Melloi II wanted to retort, while Lainis chuckled softly.

”Oh really? Elder Brother? If that’s the case, you can let me know. I won’t laugh at you...”

”Men are generally very proud, especially the proudest of the proud like this one. Saying no with their mouth, while being very honest physically is exactly this kind of person.”

”Oh my, you’re indeed correct. Elder Brother is such a person too...”

”Ugh...”

Listening to the conversation between Red Ponytail and Lainis, Lord El-Melloi II bitterly covered his stomach. Either of these two individuals is his nemesis, and now they’ve actually teamed up... Lord El-Melloi II just wanted to dig a hole and bury himself.

”Alright, Miss Lainis, let’s get to the main topic.”

Fang Zheng sipped his coffee and continued.

”I assume you’ve heard from Weber about the situation, so I won’t repeat it. Now... what does the El-Melloi Family think of joining our World Tree of a Thousand Realms?”

”............”

Upon hearing this, Lainis restrained her smile and put down the teacup.

”This is really difficult for me to answer, Miss Red Ponytail. Of course, I know the current situation of the El-Melloi Family in the Clock Tower isn’t too good...”

”No, no, no, you still don’t understand what I’m saying.”

However, before Lainis could finish her words, Fang Zheng interrupted her. She glanced at Lord El-Melloi II and shook her head.

”Forget it, I knew it was a mistake to have Weber relay the message, so I’ll say it again here.”

With that, Fang Zheng placed his hands on the table and stared at Lainis.

”Our World Tree of a Thousand Realms believes that the current obsession with pursuing the Origin in the Magic World is a mistake, limiting the development of magicians and the research and innovation of magecraft. Moreover, the power struggles born from pursuing the Origin have led to strong constraints and oppression by the noble magicians over the lower-ranking magicians. To those noble magicians, civilian magicians are nothing more than consumables and slaves.”

At this point, Fang Zheng paused.

”In our view, this is oppression and cannot be accepted. We want to completely overturn the twisted behavior of targeting the Origin and overthrow the noble families that use this to suppress civilian magicians. We want magicians to embrace a new era, live in a new way with revolutionary methods. Fight for the world, this planet, humanity, and their fate and future, instead of wallowing in the foolish delusion of the Origin.”

”..........”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Lainis’s expression also changed slightly.

”Of course, we are not politicians spewing empty words. We’ve already begun reform. We are beginning new spell teachings, educating children to accurately grasp, perceive, recognize, and understand the rules and Truth of this world, and change based on that. Not playing deceptive tricks like magicians but truly understanding and mastering the mysterious powers and Truth.”

Fang Zheng placed down the cup in his hand.

”This is the goal of our World Tree of a Thousand Realms.”

”...I don’t understand.”

Lainis furrowed her brows, pondering for a moment, then whispered.

”To be frank, I feel like the goals of the World Tree and the Mage’s Association don’t necessarily have to clash, right? Why do you need to act against the Mage’s Association?”

”Because this is revolution, an uprising from the bottom.”

Fang Zheng pointed at the cup with his finger.

”We are not trying to compete with the Mage’s Association but liberate magicians worldwide. Especially those civilian magicians who sacrificed everything yet gained nothing, only able to gnaw scraps under the nose of noble families. Moreover, the noble families of the modern mage world are attempting to suppress further scientific development, which our World Tree cannot tolerate.”

Fang Zheng speaks based on his reasoning; the senior officials in the Mage’s Association, the noble mage families, mostly control traditional industries, many involving energy sectors like oil and coal mining. Because of this, these families spare no effort to suppress new energy and due to various ties with governmental institutions worldwide, they subtly try to hinder scientific development.

This is why, despite being the 21st century, the world still has no LCD screens and relies on bulky CRT monitors.

”Do magicians care about human moon landings? They don’t. Do magicians care about Mars exploration? They don’t. Do magicians care about new energy? They care even less. They only care about the Origin, nothing else. If they were ordinary people, it wouldn’t matter, but blocking humanity’s future for selfish motives is unacceptable.”

Fang Zheng stood up.

”I won’t hesitate to tell you, there’s no compromise, no reconciliation, no surrender. Our World Tree will crush the feudal rule of the Mage’s Association led by the Clock Tower, which has lasted over two thousand years. When we achieve victory, their status, power, and wealth will be utterly destroyed. We will eliminate all magic crests, confiscate all their assets, and kill those who resist us. By the way, if you agree with our thoughts, you can join us. But even then, you must abandon your magic crest. This isn’t about taking sides between two forces; you don’t preserve your current status by choosing the victor. Instead, it’s a clash of ideas and beliefs; if you don’t understand or accept it, don’t come, it’s that simple.”

”..........”

Hearing this, Lainis and Lord El-Melloi II were stunned. Although Lord El-Melloi II had heard Fang Zheng say this before, he didn’t expect the ideals of the World Tree to be so radical!

”You’re setting yourself against all the magicians in the Magic World!”

He finally couldn’t hold it.

”Moreover, many new-age magicians... they are innocent, will you strip them of their crests too?”

”Of course.”

Fang Zheng didn’t waver.

”A good landlord is still a landlord, it’s not about opposing a particular landlord but the landlord class itself. So whether a landlord is good or bad, there’s no negotiation in seizing wealth and redistributing land. I mentioned that after removing the magic crest, they can learn new spells; we’re not leaving them without options, it’s up to them to choose.”

”That’s too domineering!”

”I don’t deny it, but this is revolution. To completely overthrow the current decaying, feudal, backward rule of the Magic World, sacrifices are inevitable. We won’t stop because of anyone’s words, nor waver due to anyone’s thoughts.”

At this point, Fang Zheng coldly stared at Lord El-Melloi II.

”If you want to defend the current ruling class, go ahead. But I don’t care, this is not a covert power struggle; we’re planning to openly storm the magicians’ Royal Palace, destroy their thrones, burn their palaces, tear their banners, toss everything they once owned into history’s shredder. This is the goal of our World Tree; it is our mission. You can think about it and come to a conclusion.”

With these clear words, Fang Zheng nodded.

”This time, I’ve made myself crystal clear, now you make your conclusion.”

Then, Fang Zheng directly turned and left.
