Chapter 1537: Chapter 1535: Magic Eye Collecting Train (One More Time)

Fang Zheng walked into the ward and the first thing he saw was Haine chatting happily with his sister.

”Yo, how are you feeling?”

”Ah, Lord Fang Zheng.”

Upon seeing Fang Zheng, Haine hurriedly sat up respectfully.

”Everything is normal, the doctor said I could try getting up in another day.”

As previously mentioned, after negotiations with Fiore, Haine agreed to let the Istali Family join the World Tree of a Thousand Realms. Of course, for this, he personally came to the Far East headquarters of the World Tree of a Thousand Realms and met the restored Fang Zheng. Upon seeing Fang Zheng, Haine almost without hesitation accepted the invitation—after all, getting on good terms with a mage is a rare opportunity for any magician.

This was the reason Haine convinced the Istali Family, who had no other options, to move. Their magic crest had mutated into something resembling cancer, absorbing vitality from whomever it was implanted into. In this situation, the Istali Family’s magic crest was practically useless. And they knew what kind of treatment a magic family would receive without a magic crest.

Thus, even though they were reluctant, they had to heed Haine’s advice and move the family to the Far East to join the World Tree of a Thousand Realms. It’s better than complete decline, after all.

Fang Zheng personally handled Haine’s recovery. Due to the duration of the magic crest mutation and complications related to time flow speed, Fang Zheng simply cut off Haine’s leg that had been eroded by the magic crest and used the Third Magic to give him a new one... Well, it was also an experiment.

”That’s good. Starting next week, Rosalind will enter the magic classroom for study. Don’t worry, the students there are all good kids, and Hana is there too.”

”Ah, thank you, Lord Fang Zheng.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Rosalind, sitting by the bedside, also showed a slightly relieved smile. Indeed, for Rosalind, coming to a foreign country was already a tense experience, and studying among strangers was even more nerve-wracking. Having a familiar face there was naturally a bit comforting.

However...

”Um... Lord Fang Zheng, is Miss Red Ponytail also there?”

”Uh...”

Fang Zheng’s expression stiffened at Rosalind’s timid question.

”No, Red Ponytail has other things to do. She’s not a member of the magic classroom.”

”I see...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s reply, Rosalind sighed in slight disappointment. Seeing her expression, Fang Zheng smiled and patted her little head.

”Alright, you’ll have a chance to meet again in the future... Oh, sorry, someone’s looking for me, I have to go.”

Noticing the communication from his personal terminal, Fang Zheng bid farewell to the two and left the ward. He then went to a corner outside, activated the communication terminal, and soon, Fiore’s face appeared in front of him.

”What’s up, Fiore?”

”It’s like this, Lord Fang Zheng, I’m sorry to bother you in your busy schedule, but I have an urgent matter.”

Fiore, on the screen, looked serious.

”Just now, Ryougi Shiki received an invitation from the Magic Eye Collecting Train.”

”Magic Eye Collecting Train? What’s that?”

”As the name suggests, it’s a train that collects various magic eyes, traveling through the European Forest. It’s said that a batch of magic eyes is displayed there every year, and an auction is held.”

”Auction?”

”Yes.”

Fiore nodded.

”From what I’ve heard, that train seems to be the only place where magic eyes can be safely removed and transplanted.”

”Oh?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow. He certainly knew what Fiore meant. Transplanting magic eyes is not like a normal eye transplant; magic eyes contain great power but are extremely fragile. Even removing them is difficult, or rather, impossible for ordinary people. If someone tried to remove a magic eye like a normal eye, the magic eye would immediately become useless. Not even magicians have such skills.

”So? Does Ryougi Shiki plan to remove her magic eye? If so, couldn’t she just come to me?”

What Magic Eye Collecting Train could be better than me?

”No, Classmate Ryougi doesn’t plan to remove her magic eye.”

”Then just ignore it, right?”

”That’s the problem.”

”What do you mean?”

”It’s like this...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Fiore was somewhat hesitant.

”From what I’ve heard, the so-called invitation from the Magic Eye Collecting Train isn’t just an invitation, but a notice... Whether or not the other party agrees, they’ll take the person’s magic eye...”

”Haha, interesting. So it’s actually a phantom thief’s notice card, huh?”

Now Fang Zheng understood Fiore’s meaning. Apparently, that invitation was stating, ”We’ve set our sights on your magic eye. It’s ours now, whether you agree or not.”

Oh, causing trouble for our World Tree of a Thousand Realms? Acting like I’m not here?

”Not only Classmate Ryougi, but Classmate Asakami also received an invitation.”

Great, definitely looking for trouble.

”Got it.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng nodded.

”In that case, I’ll have Red Ponytail accompany them... Oh, get all the students with magic eyes in the classroom ready too. It’s a good chance for them to get close and understand the importance of magic eyes.”

”Understood.”

Although you can ignore it, Fang Zheng wouldn’t just sit by and do nothing. As the saying goes, you’re not afraid of the thief stealing, just afraid of the thief thinking of stealing. Instead of being on edge waiting for them to come one day in the future, it’s better to directly hit them hard and let those fools clearly understand whose fists are bigger.

However......

”Why is it the United Kingdom again?”

Looking at the rundown train station ahead, Fang Zheng, who had once again transformed into Red Ponytail form, couldn’t even bother to complain.

”What’s so great about this broken place! Fish and chips taste awful, the pie looks horrible, don’t these fools have any sense of aesthetics? You’d be better off in Central Europe than in the United Kingdom! At least there, we could take a look at the local customs.”

”Ah hahahaha......”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s complaints, Classmate Asakami and Seo Shizune laughed bitterly, while Ryougi Shiki yawned———flying from Japan to London has jet lag, and she doesn’t seem to have adjusted yet.

”But is this really the address? Isn’t this just an abandoned train station?”

Fujino took out the invitation and compared it, looking at this dilapidated train station in front of them, with hardly a ghost shadow nearby, this place is practically considered the outskirts of London......To be honest, if it weren’t for the designated private limousine from the World Tree of a Thousand Realms, most regular drivers wouldn’t even want to come here.

”But looking at the people here, it should be this ghost place.”

Fang Zheng glanced over at the platform not far away, only to see several people dressed in quite peculiar outfits standing scattered there. Compared to them, Fang Zheng and his group’s attire seemed somewhat noticeable———apart from Red Ponytail wearing her usual white top and jeans, the other three were wearing Liyuan’s girls’ school uniforms, looking as if they were on a school trip abroad......

Well, in fact, all three of them did take leave under the guise of a school trip.

”Are those people also holders of Magic Eyes?”

Looking at the array of people in different outfits from afar, Seo Shizune curiously asked, while Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders.

”Who knows, but they’re probably buyers. Fiore said the train mainly deals in the trade of Magic Eyes, so these folks should be the buyers then.”

”So? Are we going to make a move now?”

Even though the jet lag isn’t fully adjusted, Ryougi Shiki seemed impatient.

”Wait a bit, the main figures haven’t arrived yet. There’s no sense in troubling them now. When it’s time for you to act, I’ll let you know.”

Fang Zheng helplessly glanced at Ryougi Shiki beside him; she seemed quite eager for this trip———perhaps even a bit restless.

However, at this moment, a sudden voice came through.

”Ugh, why are you here!”

”Hmm?”

Fang Zheng turned his head toward the direction of the voice, only to see Lord El-Melloi II looking horrified at the sight of Red Ponytail, instinctively covering his stomach.

”Yo, isn’t this Weber? I really didn’t expect to see you here too. And Gray, hello there.”

As he spoke, he waved his hand to the two of them, and seeing Fang Zheng’s greeting, Lord El-Melloi II sighed helplessly. As for Gray, the hooded girl standing next to him respectfully bowed her head towards Fang Zheng.

”It’s been a long time, Miss Red Ponytail.”

”It hasn’t been that long, just two or three months... but to think we’d meet again, it really is fate. What brings you here? Are you also here to purchase Magic Eyes?”

”Um......”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s question, Gray seemed unsure how to respond, but then Lord El-Melloi II stepped forward.

”Pretty much. What about you? You’re not here for sightseeing, are you?”

”Of course not.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng pointed to the girls beside him.

”These little girls beside me received an invitation from the Magic Eye Collecting Train, so I brought them over to check out who’s bold enough to challenge the World Tree of a Thousand Realms.”

As he said this, Fang Zheng shifted his gaze to another person beside Lord El-Melloi II, furrowing his brow.

”This is......”

”Hello, I am Coles Forveig.”

Wearing black-rimmed glasses, the boy, who seemed younger than his actual age, hurriedly introduced himself respectfully. But of course, Fang Zheng recognized him; after all, they had fought side-by-side during the Holy Grail War in Romania. If memory serves, back then, Coles was the Master of Berserker, and after the Holy Grail War ended, he stayed with the family...... Fiore mentioned he requested to go to the Clock Tower as a spy......

So he’s under Lord El-Melloi II now? Well......never mind......

”Hello.”

Fang Zheng nodded towards Coles in front of him and greeted him, then snapped his fingers.

”Right, let me introduce these young Spellcaster apprentices from the World Tree of a Thousand Realms.”

”My name is Seo Shizune.”

”My name is Asakami Fujino.”

”Ryougi Shiki.”

Facing Lord El-Melloi II in front of them, the three introduced themselves in their unique styles, and upon hearing Fang Zheng’s introduction, Lord El-Melloi II furrowed his brow.

”Spellcasters? Not Magicians?”

”Certainly, Spellcasters are beings that pursue the truth of this world and manipulate the laws, fundamentally different from you magicians, who are nothing but second-rate dealers.”

Fang Zheng chuckled.

However, at this moment, a sudden, childish and arrogant voice emerged.

”Such bold words indeed. Are magicians really so insignificant in your eyes?”

Along with this voice, a girl with silver-white hair, who appeared to be about eleven or twelve years old, showed up in front of Fang Zheng and Lord El-Melloi II.
