Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1509: Chapter 1508: Scorched Earth (Can’t Take It Anymore, Heading Back to the Mountain)

”Everyone, evacuate immediately.”

”What?”

Hearing the command from Fang Zheng, Landoruko and Novte, who were fighting on the front lines, were taken aback. Landoruko frowned, turning around discontentedly to look at Fang Zheng.

”What are you thinking? These barriers are about to give out. If we don’t hurry up...”

”There’s no need. You’d better stay away from there to avoid getting caught up.”

What does that mean?

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Landoruko was stupefied for a moment. But just as she was about to ask further questions, suddenly, she felt the surroundings darken. She instinctively raised her head to look at the sky, and then her whole body stiffened.

What is that?

In Landoruko’s field of vision, an enormous figure, as massive as a mountain, emerged from the clouds, descending swiftly. Its vast body blocked out the entire sky, so much so that even the Sun’s radiance could not penetrate it. Meanwhile, Fang Zheng’s voice echoed in her ear.

”The area is now clear.”

Before Landoruko could comprehend what Fang Zheng was saying, an unforgettable scene unfolded.

The terrifying and gigantic steel construct suddenly erupted with a series of golden beams, shrieking through the sky and shooting down onto the ground. In the blinding radiance, the earth began to tremble and collapse. The hard ground shattered effortlessly, while the relentless and dazzling beams tore through it, completely eradicating the writhing, twisted creatures.

What on earth happened? What is this? What’s going on?

Landoruko could no longer hear any sound, only the deafening explosions reverberated in her mind, making her heart pound violently. It wasn’t until someone grabbed her hand that Landoruko snapped out of her trance-like state, realizing she had unknowingly sat down on the ground.

”Novte?”

Turning her head, Landoruko saw Novte grabbing her arm, shouting desperately. But Landoruko couldn’t hear anything; her ears were filled only with explosions, roars, and a shaking that seemed to devour the entire world.

”What are you saying?!”

Landoruko shouted loudly, unable even to hear her own words. Novte, seemingly giving up on communication, firmly grasped her arm and led her away from the barriers, towards Fang Zheng and the others.

By now, Fang Zheng had wisely released a soundproof barrier, isolating the external noise.

”See, I told you to come back.”

”What was that?!”

Though Landoruko’s ears were still ringing, making Fang Zheng’s voice difficult to hear, she dashed over, grasping his clothes and shouting.

As a Golden Fairy, Landoruko was one of those rare few intrigued by ancient and human history. She taught herself the script of ancient humans and read many records about them. But Landoruko was sure that even those ancient humans could not possess such power!

”I told you, it’s my fleet.”

Fang Zheng looked up at the sky; with Rodney leading, the Raider Ships and Battleships were in place, heedlessly obliterating everything on the land - fortunately, most of the creatures here had already perished, so there was no concern for collateral damage.

”Fleet...”

Landoruko murmured, repeating the word, and looked up at the sky again. Now without the brain-rattling noise, she could clearly observe these terrifying constructs.

Landoruko could tell that these were some kind of airships, since their world also had airships, so she could accept the reality of ”metal constructs flying in the air”. However, compared to their airships, the giant metal warships in the sky were overshadowing, vastly larger than a Floating Island... No, even larger than a Floating Island!

This is simply unimaginable!

Not just Landoruko, at this moment Katori, Neflen, and Aetheria were also stunned. Though Fang Zheng had often mentioned having a fleet, none of them expected it to be such an existence!

In front of this steel fleet, those creatures stood no chance, being effortlessly torn to pieces, a scenario they never dreamed they would witness.

But now... this scene defied reality...

Katori reached out, tugged at her cheek, the sharp pain affirming that everything before her was no dream nor illusion, but reality...

”Alright, the aerial bombardment is almost done. Next is the ground advance.”

Fang Zheng waved his hand, pulling out a Tanji from his inventory. The metallic orb rolled around on the ground, then a light beam shot from its eye, creating a circular black sphere in the air.

Then, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and the next moment the black sphere vanished, replaced by a Crystal Tower.

This was also the ability of the Time Dragon. Simply constructing was time-consuming, but with Fang Zheng there, he could directly speed things up - after all, as the GM, who dared to complain?

”Swish, swish, swish!!”

In the next moment, Katori and the others saw streaks of radiance flashing by like meteors, followed by a group of Knights in silver-white armor and bright red cloaks appearing before Fang Zheng.

”Master!”

Looking at Fang Zheng before her, Raphtalia, dressed in Undead Squad armor, knelt on one knee, followed by the other Subhuman Knights kneeling as well.

”You are the vanguard this time.”

Fang Zheng stared at Raphtalia, then spoke.

”This is the Undead Squad’s first battle, you know what to do. Nobiru and the others are waiting to see you make fools of yourselves.”

Raphtalia naturally understood what Fang Zheng meant. Fang Zheng positioned the Undead Squad as the Royal Guard Corps, the sharp blade of the Heavenly Dao Palace. However, Nobiru and Tina didn’t like this positioning. Although the Undead Squad and the little ones were like left and right hands, both sides still wanted to compete.

Of course, Fang Zheng believed the main reason was that the little girls were venting their resentment, envy, and jealousy of not growing up onto this group of Subhumans.

Fang Zheng did not stop this, as a military unit without a sense of honor has no combat power. Even in Fang Zheng’s former country, the ace teams of various military districts viewed each other with disdain, each thinking they were the best.

Previously, the only ground troops in Fang Zheng’s forces were the little girls, Anya commanded the aerial mecha division, while Iona led the fleet above the skies, with no real comparison between them. But now with an Undead Squad, the little girls’ fighting spirit was sparked.

This is something Fang Zheng was happy to see, as long as it’s healthy competition, there’s no problem.

”Yes, Master!”

Raphtalia nodded forcefully, knowing exactly what Fang Zheng meant. Moreover, as newcomers, they indeed needed to show their strength to establish themselves in the Heavenly Dao Palace.

Of course, if Raphtalia and the other Subhumans chose to live in the rear, there would be no need for competition, but now, since they were on the battlefield, they naturally had to demonstrate their prowess so as not to be underestimated.

”We, the Undead Squad, are your sword. Where your sword points, there our hearts will go!”

”Very good.”

Fang Zheng nodded upon hearing Raphtalia’s response.

”Go ahead, it’s time to show your strength!”

”Yes!”

Saying this, Raphtalia turned around and swung her Greatsword vigorously. The next moment, with a ”click,” a shell casing popped out of the blade, and her Pitch Black Greatsword erupted into blazing flames. Raphtalia then raised her sword and charged toward the desolate land ahead.

As the newly formed Undead Squad of Heavenly Dao Palace, this armor and weaponry were redesigned by Fang Zheng. Though outwardly similar to Fang Zheng’s gear, there were significant internal differences. For instance, the Wolf Blood Greatsword was forged using Mithril from the Main World, with Fang Zheng entrusting its crafting to dwarves, who used their unique techniques and enhanced it with multiple enchantments to increase its power.

Fang Zheng also drew upon Belka’s magic power loading technology from the Magical Girl World.

Raphtalia’s armor was created using Hard Light Technology, similar in essence to the armor used by Eiriri and Asuna, the main difference being its design.

Thus, this armor set, which appeared steeped in Middle Ages style, actually boasted technological attributes that surpassed the cosmos.

The battlefield outside was a mess; after being washed by Cosmic Warships, most beasts were completely dead. However, some survivors twisted their way out from crevices, screaming and continuing to attack Fang Zheng and his group, unwilling to give up.

This behavior was similar to their counterparts in the Main World.

However, facing these creatures, Raphtalia and the others feared nothing, having experienced far tougher battles facing the tide in their world. Compared to that, the current battle was more like a walk in the park.

But this scene was perceived differently by Katori and the others.

”So incredible......”

Watching Raphtalia and others swinging fiery Greatswords and easily tearing beasts to pieces not far away, Katori couldn’t help but sigh. The power they displayed had far surpassed that of the Golden Fairies. Even Katori, leveraging the Holy Sword, at her peak, could only challenge dozens of beasts.

Yet these strange and powerful warriors were unfazed by the assault of over a hundred beasts!

Moreover, they weren’t using relic weapons!

Could it be......

With this thought, Katori turned her head again and looked at Fang Zheng beside her.

Is this world..... truly going to change?
