Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1529: Chapter 1527: The Alliance Pact (It’s Getting Colder on the Mountain)

The appearance of the girl was very strange.

It’s generally not allowed to bring pets on the train, but she was able to bring this big white dog. Moreover, the people around seemed oblivious to her, even though she was such a striking presence, there was no reaction at all.

”Please have a seat.”

Fang Zheng nodded, then moved inside a bit, and the girl smiled apologetically and sat next to Red Ponytail.

”Nice to meet you for the first time.”

The girl extended her hand, placed it on her chest, and introduced herself elegantly like the lady of a noble family.

”My name is Aertulky, Aertulky Brunestud.”

”Ah, I’m Kurotou Hana...”

”I’m Red Ponytail, you can just call me Little Hong.”

Although there was no clear understanding, Fang Zheng could feel that she was here for him. The reason was simple, the moment she appeared, Fang Zheng felt something within him resonating with her—so that’s it, another girl attracted by the divine power of the God of Magical Girls?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. Truly, the scope of this divine position of Magical Girl is too broad. Generally speaking, as long as it’s an existence with special abilities in a girl form, it will be attracted. How to put this attraction...it’s like some kind of very special signal. According to Fate and the others, even when walking down the street, they can feel their bodies being drawn like by a magnet, unconsciously sensing Fang Zheng’s location.

This is also why most of the little girls at the Heavenly Dao Palace can sense Fang Zheng the moment he appears.

Of course, according to the Goddess of Order, this is the level of divine attraction. A deity can sense their believers—or potential believers, and the believers can therefore sense their deity. Of course, those non-believers might not be able to fully understand, but they can sense that it is an existence closely tied to their own destiny.

The girl in front of him was the same, but she wasn’t truly a girl. Fang Zheng could sense a feeling from her that was very similar to Colette.

In other words, the girl in front of him was a vampire.

And quite possibly a vampire who had lived for countless years.

However, she was different from ordinary vampires.

There was no human aura on her.

Generally speaking, most vampires in the Type Moon World are transformed from humans, so even after a long time, the human part would not completely disappear. But this girl was different. If one were to make an analogy, ordinary vampires are like mud sculptures of human figures filled with blood. Whereas the girl before him seemed entirely coagulated from blood, without a single impurity.

To put it another way, instead of calling her a vampire, it might be more appropriate to call her a spirit of blood.

”May I ask what the matter is?”

”I once heard some interesting stories carried on the breeze.”

The girl’s voice was elegant and light, like a fairy singing.

”I heard you all seem to be planning to oppose the Mage’s Association?”

”......!!”

Hearing this, Hana immediately tensed up while Fang Zheng nodded.

”That’s right, we have a fundamental conflict with the Mage’s Association. For humanity, for the future of this world, opposition and conflict between us are inevitable.”

”Is that so...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Aertulky nodded and then thought of something.

”So, would you like to form an alliance with us?”

”An alliance?”

Typically, someone suddenly jumping out to propose an alliance would be somewhat surprising, but Fang Zheng wasn’t very astonished. Just as he had discerned the girl’s true identity, the girl had clearly also seen through his disguise.

”So, what kind of assistance can you provide?”

”When the World Tree of a Thousand Realms battles the Mage’s Association, I will offer my assistance.”

The girl’s offer was so casual that even the typically composed Hana furrowed her brow slightly. However, perhaps because she knew the girl’s identity, she didn’t say much.

”Then, what’s the price?”

”I hope you can do me a favor.”

”What kind of favor?”

”My lovely sister has a guardian that causes a lot of headaches.”

Aertulky’s smile remained unchanged.

”But I don’t have one. Isn’t that quite unfair?”

Her tone was as if she were sulking because her sister had a cute doll and she didn’t, but Fang Zheng saw through the deeper meaning behind it.

”Mutual aid is a fundamental principle of engaging with others.”

”I agree, so I can also offer you a small piece of advice.”

As she spoke, Aertulky stood up.

”Recently, in the Far East... in a place in Japan called Misaki Town, there will be some small troubles. My lovely sister will also be there...”

”I understand. I will take a look, but I cannot guarantee it will be the result you like.”

”That doesn’t matter.”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s response, Aertulky showed an elegant smile.

”After all, mutual assistance is fundamental in dealing with others.”

After saying this, Aertulky lifted her skirt slightly and bowed respectfully to Fang Zheng before turning to leave.

Only when her silhouette disappeared through the carriage’s door did the air, which had been frozen and tense, return to normal.

”Ha, what a hassle.”

Fang Zheng sighed, rubbing his forehead, while Hana curiously looked at her.

”Little Hong, what were you talking about?”

”Just a small matter. I figured out why she would come to me.”

If Fang Zheng had previously been puzzled as to why the other party would deliberately seek him out to talk, once Aertulky mentioned ”Misaki Town,” Fang Zheng immediately understood her intentions. Clearly, Aertulky already knew of his connection with the ruler of Misaki Town as Red Ponytail, which is why she made a point to appear here.

Although the entire conversation seemed vague, everyone understood the underlying meaning.

Aertulky hoped Fang Zheng could look after her younger sister, as Misaki Town was home to witches and mages, and Aertulky’s sister was clearly a vampire who could be in trouble at any moment. So she came to Fang Zheng and proposed an exchange— as the basis of their alliance, Fang Zheng needed to ensure her sister’s safety in Misaki Town, and in return, she would assist Fang Zheng and the World Tree of a Thousand Realms against the Mage’s Association.

Although he wasn’t completely reassured about this young girl named Aertulky, nevertheless...

Misaki Town—it’s about time to return for a visit.

But before that, Fang Zheng had to take care of what needed doing first!

”Acquisition... a game company?”

Fiolee looked noticeably puzzled at Fang Zheng, who had returned to his usual form before her eyes.

”May I ask what this is for?”

”This is a crucial step in opposing the Mage’s Association... in fact, my idea is...”

With a chuckle, Fang Zheng whispered his thoughts to Fiolee, and after hearing his idea, Fiolee was quite surprised.

”Can this really work?”

”Of course, just do as I say. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t matter; it’s just an insurance policy.”

”I understand.”

Upon hearing this, Fiolee nodded.

”Leave it to me, Mr. Fang Zheng. And... do you have a target company for this acquisition?”

”Ren Hell is fine, Soqing will do too. Ideally, acquire them all. They don’t need to merge, but they should all be ours. Also, after the acquisition, approach their key creative teams and have them design games based on these materials.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng handed a stack of documents to Fiolee, who curiously opened the folder. Her expression changed slightly after looking at the contents within.

”this is...!?”

”Exactly as you think, it’s all the magical core theories and intelligence data of the Mage’s Association’s factions.”

Fang Zheng grinned like a sly fox.

”I want to see what kind of power they can muster when their fundamental basis becomes ’common knowledge’... oh, and there’s the matter of the Istali Family; I’ll trouble you to handle that as well.”

”No problem.”

If it were in the past, Fiolee might have felt some unease over Fang Zheng’s actions of undermining deep-seated foundations. But after participating in that carnival and witnessing different existences from various worlds, Fiolee’s mindset shifted.

The world is so vast, with so many different universes, yet magicians remain confined, smug over petty accomplishments. To Fiolee, it seemed utterly pathetic. Therefore, she endorsed and supported Fang Zheng’s plan, as only in this way could magicians from her world step into a new realm they never imagined.

”I believe in you, keep it up.”

Looking at Fiolee before him, Fang Zheng smiled and nodded. To be honest, he had watched the animations of this world, especially the FATE series. But Fang Zheng could say he favored Fiolee the most in this world.

Of course, it’s not just because she is beautiful, gentle, and charming. More importantly, it’s Fiolee’s philosophy—she was never interested in the curse of magicians, the Vortex of Origin. For Fiolee, the exploration of the external world and the yearning for the unknown were far more interesting than any origin.

In Fang Zheng’s perspective, this is what a person should be like.

Tohsaka Rin, on the other hand, was completely different. Although she was also beautiful, had a nice personality, and was kind-hearted, she was still just another magician. She represented a part of the old guard, and the pursuit of the origin remained her goal. It was akin to young ladies in ancient martial hero novels: perhaps pure, proud, beautiful, skilled, popular, and widely admired.

But fundamentally, they still endorsed the feudal ruling class ideology.

Tohsaka Rin was the same. Many people saw her tsundere character, cuteness, kindness, purity, her sincere love for family and sister. Some even joked about the Tohsaka Family’s financial difficulties. Yet, she never gave up on the exploration of the Vortex of Origin, so in essence, Tohsaka Rin was still an ordinary, conservative magician.

I don’t know what this world’s Tohsaka Rin is like, but... who knows?

Just hope not to see her in the battle against the Clock Tower, or else Fang Zheng wouldn’t hesitate to strike her down.

Those who stand in the way of historical progress are destined to meet their demise.
