Chapter 1498: Chapter 1497: The Girls Fighting Against Chaos (It’s Roasted Kuri Season)

”Thank you so much for your help.”

After escaping from that group of boring creatures with Fang Zheng, the blue-haired girl immediately bowed respectfully to Fang Zheng to express her gratitude, but Fang Zheng just waved his hand.

”You’re welcome, it’s no big deal... Speaking of which, what are you doing here?”

”Actually...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the blue-haired girl felt a bit embarrassed, but still spoke softly.

”Actually, I’m trying to go somewhere...”

”Where?”

”To the observation deck at the highest point...”

”There?”

Fang Zheng raised his head and looked in the direction the blue-haired girl was pointing, soon noticing the tower at the highest point.

”Yes, but I got lost...”

”This is simple.”

Although it was Fang Zheng’s first time here, knowing the target meant it wasn’t difficult for him.

”Give me your hand, close your eyes.”

”Huh? Okay...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s request, the blue-haired girl was somewhat puzzled but obediently extended her hand and closed her eyes. Fang Zheng grabbed the blue-haired girl’s extended hand then snapped his fingers. The next moment, the radiance of magic instantly appeared, enveloping them both. In just the blink of an eye, the surrounding scenery rapidly changed, the dark alley replaced by a vast sky and white clouds.

”Alright, you can open your eyes now.”

”Huh?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the blue-haired girl opened her eyes and seeing the scene in front of her, she was momentarily stunned.

”Huh? Huh? What is this?”

Evidently, the blue-haired girl was quite surprised to suddenly find herself here, she moved to the railing’s edge to look around. Finally confirming, this was exactly the place she had hoped to go!

”Incredible! How did you do this?!”

”Don’t ask, the answer is magic.”

Faced with the blue-haired girl’s excited inquiry, Fang Zheng chuckled, effortlessly diverting the topic. The blue-haired girl didn’t seem inclined to probe further; clasping her hands tightly, she stood by the railing, gazing at the view before her.

”Is this what you wanted to see?”

Fang Zheng walked to the blue-haired girl’s side, looking forward. It was only at this moment that Fang Zheng truly grasped the current situation of the world he was in. It was a floating island, surrounded by many floating islands, all drifting above the clouds, and he could see airship-like objects. Clearly, this world had a certain level of technological civilization... though it didn’t seem particularly advanced.

Even a brief glance through the alley earlier indicated this place was quite backward.

”Whew...”

Looking at the scene before her, the blue-haired girl gently exhaled.

”Although I’ve seen floating islands from afar before, it’s the first time I’m overlooking them from a high point in the city... so I always wished to see them once.”

”It’s not hard to understand.”

Fang Zheng nodded in agreement with the blue-haired girl’s sentiment, akin to seeing a city from a plane versus from a watchtower; it’s a completely different experience.

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the blue-haired girl nodded vigorously.

”Now I’ve fulfilled my dream and have a beautiful memory, I suppose I have no regrets...”

”Hmm?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng looked at her quizzically; it sounded a bit like a farewell message?

Hopefully, she wouldn’t jump off here in the next moment.

”Thank you very much for today.”

The blue-haired girl spoke as she glanced back at Fang Zheng.

”Thanks to you, I was able to achieve my dream.”

”Is that so...”

While speaking, Fang Zheng reached out, a guitar materializing in his hand.

”In that case, let me offer you a song. After all, our meeting is fate, and you’re the first friend I’ve made since coming here.”

”A friend... really?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the blue-haired girl’s expression turned somewhat complex, while Fang Zheng nodded. Then he looked at the town before him with its medieval fantasy style, pondered briefly, and gently strummed the strings.

”Are you going to Scarborough Fair... Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme...”

Accompanied by the breeze, the gentle singing echoed under the clear sky. The blue-haired girl stood quietly beside him, watching Fang Zheng sing and play, her eyes shining with a peculiar radiance. Her petite body swayed along with Fang Zheng’s singing, occasionally closing her eyes, seemingly feeling something.

”Remember me to one who lives there... She once was a true love of mine...”

Fang Zheng’s right hand gently brushed over the strings, the final notes fading away.

”Clap, clap, clap!!”

Not long after Fang Zheng’s song ended, the blue-haired girl started clapping vigorously.

”That was amazing.”

”As long as you liked it.”

Fang Zheng elegantly bowed to the blue-haired girl, then turned his head to gaze at the staircase not far behind.

”It seems those people are looking for you?”

Standing at the staircase were three uniformed animals... Hmm, this certainly looked like Disney’s world.

But since there was no Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck, it shouldn’t be Kingdom Hearts.

”It seems the dream-like memories have come to an end.”

The blue-haired girl also turned around at this moment, looking at the three people with a complex expression, then turned her head towards Fang Zheng.

”Finally, I have one request.”

”What request?”

Facing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the blue-haired girl smiled faintly.

”I ask you... please forget me.”

”???”

Hearing the blue-haired girl’s request, Fang Zheng was dumbfounded, and after saying this, the blue-haired girl said nothing more and simply turned to leave.

”Is she leaving just like that?”

Watching the blue-haired girl’s departing back, Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders and then leaned against the nearby railing again, observing the town before his eyes. Although only slightly, he had just sensed that when he touched the girl, the power within his body for a moment... felt like it was being attracted by a magnet.

Only, it was too faint.

Was that the attraction and resonance of the Order Seal? Was she the Order Node of this world? Or someone related to the Order Node?

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng activated his personal terminal and reported the situation to everyone on the warship.

So soon, after listening to Fang Zheng’s account, everyone suddenly became excited.

”So, Big Brother, you met another pretty girl, eh? Why did I say ’another’?”

Little Hei is always eager for chaos.

”Is everyone in that world an animal? Are animals turned into humans? Is it different from us and subhumans?”

Natsuse is more concerned with species issues.

”Completely different, they look like those animals wearing clothes and mimicking human actions in cartoons... I am not clear on the current situation of this world, in any case, that blue-haired girl should have some clues. I will find an opportunity to approach her and see... ”

”And bring us back a sister? Big Brother, doesn’t your back hurt?”

”No problem, I drink Huiyuan kidney tonic every day.”

Fang Zheng quietly retorted Little Hei, then quickly changed the subject.

”How are things on your end?”

”Everything is normal at the moment.”

Iona quickly responded.

”I have ordered Neptune to deploy probes along the star cluster boundary. If Chaos Waves are detected, the automatic defense program will be activated immediately.”

”That’s good... be careful, after all, no one knows when Chaos Waves will erupt. If any problems occur, report to me immediately.”

”Yes.”

After a brief communication, Fang Zheng ended the contact. It was already evening, with the sun setting below the horizon, thousands of household lights glowing, appearing peaceful.

However...

”Hmm?”

At this moment, Fang Zheng suddenly raised his head and gazed towards the distant horizon.

”Is that... Chaos Aura?”

Fang Zheng wouldn’t mistake it, he indeed sensed the Chaos aura. After all, this thing was so peculiar, and his major adversary, Fang Zheng couldn’t possibly mistake the source of this aura!

The power of Chaos truly has infiltrated this world!

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng’s expression darkened, then he soared into the sky, swiftly disappearing into the pitch-black night.

The people of this world seem to all reside on floating islands, as Fang Zheng flew overhead, he could feel the islands brimming with life. But beyond that, the land was barren, like a cemetery, deathly silent... What’s the situation in this world? What exactly happened?

”Found it!”

At this moment, Fang Zheng’s eyes flashed, and he immediately spotted the location where the Chaos aura erupted. He hastily increased his speed, flying towards that direction.

That was also a floating island. When Fang Zheng arrived, he could see dozens of strange creatures attacking the town. They appeared very similar to Intestinal Creatures, chaotically formed, waving countless tentacles, looking like a fusion of insects and animals...

Except their opponents didn’t possess the power of Cursed Child.

Fang Zheng could see a group of soldiers in uniforms fighting these creatures, but all their efforts were futile, as they were using the most ancient type of firearm, utterly incapable of harming those creatures. Their struggle was essentially futile, their actions rendered completely ineffective.

And what truly hindered the progress of those creatures were three girls floating in the sky.

They held peculiar weapons in their hands, with butterfly-like wings on their backs, shining with radiant colors. At this moment, these three girls were flying up and down, doing their utmost to prevent these creatures from advancing further. They did succeed in eliminating some monsters, but some continued relentlessly attacking them.

Things cannot continue like this.

After a brief observation, Fang Zheng made his decision, then extended his hand, quickly, Restia and Ester appeared in Fang Zheng’s hand.

”Let’s go!”

Accompanied by Fang Zheng’s shout, scorching flames erupted from the Pitch Black Greatsword instantly. In the next moment, Fang Zheng descended from the sky, swinging his greatsword forcefully at the creatures before him!
