Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1493: Chapter 1492: The Founding of the Undead Squad (The Weather Has Changed—Autumn Is Here)

Fang Zheng really didn’t expect that he would encounter such a situation.

He always thought the opponent was accumulating power, or trying to use some kind of weapon to turn the tables. You see, in games, the final BOSS is always like this, even if defeated, they would yell ”don’t think this is over,” then unlock some seal or ability to make a final burst.

But until Fang Zheng burned the whole world down... nothing happened like he imagined it would.

So he had to come to a conclusion.

That is, this BOSS couldn’t escape the atmosphere, so... is it over just like that?

Isn’t this guy a fool!

Fang Zheng was completely speechless, looking at the burning world, he didn’t know what to say. To be on the same level as himself, the opponent must be a deity, and yet couldn’t even get out of the atmosphere...

”Is it really this embarrassing?”

”Master.”

And at this moment, Nymph, lying on Fang Zheng’s back, suddenly spoke.

”I just investigated... and found out that the opponent is not really a deity.”

”Oh? What do you mean?”

”Based on my investigation, the opponent somehow fused with the main control system of this world, thus gained its characteristics, but their strength itself hasn’t improved significantly.”

”Damn, turns out they’re just putting up a front!”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng finally understood what it meant. The BOSS itself isn’t a deity, but the main control system of this world counts as divine level. The opponent had some entanglement with the system itself, so they’re tinged with divine attributes. Hence, ”Ratziel” determined they were on the same level as him... MMP, this is really interesting.

Come to think of it, when he learned from Little Angel’s data that this BOSS could steal the Four Sacred Weapons and the Rebirth ability from their subordinates, he should have anticipated this... but... he really didn’t expect the opponent to be so weak.

Anyway, since they’re dead, it’s pointless to dwell on it.

Now Fang Zheng understands not all existences that ”Ratziel” can’t investigate are stronger than him. In the past, every world he went to had a terrifying hidden hand, and the Main World also broke the limit. But looking at this time travel experience, ”Ratziel” needs permission to collect data. As long as the opponent’s world permissions are high enough, even if they are weak themselves, ”Ratziel” can’t investigate their identity.

From now on, he can’t rely on whether ”Ratziel” can find data to determine the opponent’s strength.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng shook his head.

”Let’s go, we’ll take care of that main control system.”

When Fang Zheng returned to Heavenly Dao Palace again, about———three days had passed.

But this time, quite a few people followed Fang Zheng back.

In addition to Shana, Homura and Anzu, with Nymph definitely coming back with them, Raphtalia and Liphana, Filo, and————— Queen Filo leading a large group of Filo Birds followed.

That’s right, Fang Zheng and Nymph successfully found the main control system, then completely destroyed it, simultaneously investigating various worlds again. This way, those other worlds won’t merge anymore, and tides naturally won’t happen. And after Fang Zheng destroyed the main control system, a mission completion prompt popped up in front of him, allowing him to choose whether to make this world a Free World.

Fang Zheng naturally... refused.

Just kidding, in this world even the BOSS is so dumb, there might be some idiot aura, if he stayed too long and lowered his IQ, who would he complain to?

Incidentally, after Fang Zheng dealt with the main control system, everyone else’s systems disappeared too. Whether they were people from the original world or NPCs, they couldn’t see any attribute systems, nor Rank. Only Fang Zheng and several heroes chosen by the Four Sacred Weapons could see them, while others—just became like ordinary people.

This would definitely have an impact on that world, but Fang Zheng didn’t care anymore. He had finished his task, as for that world’s matters, he didn’t bother dealing with them.

Leave the idiotic world to the idiots.

As for the Filo Birds, Fang Zheng thought of them on a whim. After taking care of everything, he went to the Queen to bring back Filo, and asked Fitoria what she planned to do next. Fitoria said she lived to fulfill the promise to the hero of protecting this world, but with the tides completely solved now... she didn’t know what to do for a moment.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng suddenly thought of a good idea.

So he decisively invited Fitoria to bring her Filo Bird flock to Heavenly Dao Palace.

Fang Zheng had his reasons for this, knowing that the Heavenly Dao Palace had always lacked pets, the young girls below strongly protested against Fang Zheng keeping cute little creatures like kittens, white cats, and Little Fire Dragon to himself, expressing fervent discontent, claiming it’s tyrannical behavior of only officials being allowed to start fires, not the common people. This time, if Fang Zheng only brought back Filo, those little ones’ resentment would break the limit.

These Filo Birds are very friendly to people and aren’t dangerous, their appearance... though not every Filo Bird can grow into the big fat bird or small fat bird like Fitoria and Filo, but actually they’re quite cute, quite in line with ordinary people’s aesthetic, and since the area of Heavenly Dao Palace is large enough, it wouldn’t struggle to support a flock of Filo Birds.

After considering for a moment, Fitoria finally agreed. She was also quite interested in the other world Fang Zheng mentioned, since that world didn’t need her saving anymore, she could put down her mission and do what she wanted now.

”This is Heavenly Dao Palace...”

Standing on the grass, looking at the distant city and the gigantic warship floating in the sky, Fitoria was completely stunned. The world she was from didn’t have such powerful existences and civilizations. Although humans in that world built many things, in Fitoria’s eyes, they were just like that.

But now...

”Alright, I’ll designate this forest as your territory; it’s the domain for Filo Birds. If you need anything, you can speak to Nymph.”

Fang Zheng walked up to the stunned Fitoria and spoke to her. The area of Heavenly Dao Palace had already surpassed the size of a Floating Castle. Although from the outside, its main body was just the size of a nation, due to the folding and expansion of its internal space, it was already comparable to the size of a planet.

Don’t just say Filo Birds, even moving an entire planet’s ecological chain could be sustained.

”Also... afterwards, quite a few young girls will come here to befriend the Filo Birds. Of course, they might be a bit excited, but it should be fine. Still... I thought I should give you a heads-up.”

”I understand.”

Fitoria nodded, having been informed by Fang Zheng before coming here about the purpose of inviting the Filo Bird clan. The Filo Birds themselves weren’t bothered by it; on the contrary, they were inherently friendly and loved making friends with humans. So if the people here liked them, it was naturally a good thing for them too.

”Nymph, you can also let those little girls know that the Filo Birds will be living here. Of course, remind them not to scare our guests.”

”Alright.”

”Now then......”

After resolving the Filo Bird issue, Fang Zheng turned his gaze to Raphtalia and Liphana—and the group of subhuman children standing behind them.

These subhuman children were rescued by Homura during her hunts and disrupting the slave trade. Some chose to return to their hometown and the Subhuman Kingdom, but some, with nowhere else to go like Raphtalia and Liphana, were brought back by Homura. Fang Zheng gladly accepted them, conducting a year-long training in that world. Now, among these dozens of subhuman kids, half have embraced the Wolf Sword Technique’s legacy, becoming members of the Farron Undead Legion Fang Zheng is founding.

”Homura, go arrange their accommodations with Raphtalia. I’ll find a place for a building exchange, we’ll discuss it later.”

Fang Zheng’s vision for the Undead Legion is as an assault unit. Currently, in the Heavenly Dao Palace, the mind model handles the fleet battle, Anya oversees the aerial combat units, and Natsuse leads the ground combat units. Currently, the ground combat is divided into ranged and magical sections, but close-range—well, frankly, there’s no close-range combat needed anymore.

Fleet orbital bombardments, mecha aerial sweeps—once this area is cleared, is there even a need for close combat?

Besides, given the abilities of the Cursed Children, close combat... hehe.

But now, Fang Zheng decided to specially craft an assault unit for boarding actions and skirmishes. Of course, the Farron Undead Legion’s armor won’t follow the original; the Wolf Blood Greatsword will undergo technological enhancements and enchantment treatments, and the Legion’s armor will have additional tech-based abilities.

The most crucial aspect is deterrence!

The abilities of the Cursed Children are strong, but their problem is a lack of any deterrence—in fact, at their less than 1.4 meters height, even if they dressed in the Legion’s armor, they wouldn’t look cool; they’d be... like a walking 1:2 scale figure.

Fang Zheng has long been bored of playing the underdog, he now seeks to showcase his powerful strength and intimidate others. While the Swarm might not be visually appealing, it surely serves the purpose of intimidation, though it exponentially increases hostilities. A cool, strong Undead Legion is undoubtedly the best choice.

”Got it, Master.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s command, Homura nodded and gestured to Raphtalia and the others, then led the group away.

”Whew... finally, I can relax for a while.”

Traveling to a new world was just a coincidence for Fang Zheng, but of course, he got what he wanted. The Four Sacred Weapons were naturally taken back, along with a pile of random enchanted tools. Fang Zheng plans to analyze the system of these enchanted tools, hoping to apply it to the Heavenly Dao Palace’s combat gear.

But for now... it’s time to go home and take a nap.

However, early the next morning, just as Fang Zheng awakened, a figure burst through the door at high speed and landed heavily on his stomach.

”Brother Fang Zheng!”

”Puh!!”

Fang Zheng’s eyes shot open from the sneak attack, while the small kitten and Little Fire Dragon snuggled next to him leapt up with a shout. Turning his head, Fang Zheng saw Aohara Enju sitting atop him, glaring at him discontentedly.

”What’s up? I just got back, can’t I rest a little longer?”

”No way! That... that Farron Knight Order, why won’t they let us join?!”

Enju was brimming with anger. Everyone in the Heavenly Dao Palace had gotten used to new members joining occasionally, and upon hearing Nymph’s announcement yesterday, they knew a group of subhuman children and some cute creatures called Filo Birds had joined the Heavenly Dao Palace.

So early the next day, many little girls excitedly went to play with the Filo Birds, while some others curiously observed the subhuman children.

But well.......

”Why won’t they let us join!”

Enju repeated her complaint. Upon seeing the armored Farron Undead Legion in training, they were all envious—so cool, so amazing!

After learning it was a newly formed unit by Fang Zheng, Enju and several others requested to join, only to be rejected. Later, they heard from Homura that this unit wouldn’t absorb them.

This felt unfair to Enju, so she came to ask on behalf of everyone.

”In terms of strength, we’re not any worse than them.”

At this point, Enju felt increasingly dissatisfied; since the subhuman children’s appearance was similar to the Cursed Children, acceptance was easy. However, their strength was clearly inferior to that of the Cursed Children. Initially, Enju thought that if they could join, she surely could, but unexpectedly was flatly refused......

”It’s simple......”

Faced with Enju’s inquiry, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly, reaching out to pat Enju’s head.

”You’re not tall enough.”

”.........”

Enju stared blankly at Fang Zheng’s answer, then......

”Wah......!”

She ran off crying.
