Chapter 1470: Chapter 1469: Power-Leveling Alts in Ben (More Visitors Again Today)

The scenery before his eyes flashed by.

When Fang Zheng reopened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a crimson sky. It felt quite similar to the Sealing in the Fire Mist World, but clearly, it wasn’t the same.

”Master, look!”

At this moment, Liphana also screamed, stretching out her hand to point at the sky. Following her finger, Fang Zheng saw things resembling whirlpools at sea emerging in the dark red sky, from which countless black dots gushed out from the center.

So that’s how it is, no wonder it’s called a wave. It looks just like floating sea water in the sky.

”Master, over there is Root Village!”

Just as Fang Zheng was thinking, suddenly Raphtalia shouted, pointing to the village not far away.

”Speaking of it, it’s also considered our beginner village.”

Looking at the village about to be hit by the wave, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow. However, before he could say anything, he heard the ”da-da-da” of footsteps as the other three Heroes, along with their adventure teams, ran from afar, heading straight for the core of the wave.

”Let’s go, Raphtalia, Liphana, we need to protect the village.”

”Huh? But Master, over there...”

”Leave that to those three weaklings. If they can’t handle it, I can step in in time.”

This is a rare opportunity to farm experience, who would want to team up with that bunch of idiots?

Besides, heroes farming together get no experience.

With this thought, Fang Zheng waved his hand decisively.

”Let’s move!”

Although Megmarlo had sent many adventurers and soldiers everywhere to deal with the wave’s arrival, relying solely on these people was obviously not enough. In fact, when Fang Zheng brought Raphtalia and Liphana to the village, its defense was already on the verge of collapse, and the villagers were screaming and fleeing.

It’s not fair to blame them for not being prepared in advance, after all, the appearance of the wave is random. Nobody knows whom this unlucky wave will target, and for now, it can be said these people are quite unfortunate.

”Uwaa!”

”Help!”

Entering the village, the first thing Fang Zheng saw was a group of villagers holding pitchforks and sticks, along with several adventurers, trembling as they confronted the demon creatures descending from the sky. Rather than confrontation, it was more like being surrounded. Large Hornet Monsters over a meter high, and demon creatures resembling Necromancer Soldiers, continually fell from the sky, quickly segregating and surrounding everyone in the village...

Didn’t expect these creatures to know how to execute airborne strikes...

Ah, if only I could use Frostmourne right now... Forget it, just changing form can also fight!

”Shield of the Avenger!”

Seeing the surrounded villagers, Fang Zheng shouted angrily, then threw out his hand, and with his gesture, a shield of light constructed from golden Holy Light shot out, hitting one of the creatures, then quickly rebounding, striking all the creatures before Fang Zheng.

And those creatures hit also turned quickly, rushing towards Fang Zheng.

”Hey, grandson, come on.”

Seeing the gathering creatures, Fang Zheng whistled, then grasped the handle hidden in the shield, swinging it forward towards the swarming creatures!

”Snap!”

The next moment, the original shield instantly split and expanded, turning into a gigantic shield axe that smashed down upon the creatures in front, directly crushing a few incoming Hornet Monsters into pulp. Then Fang Zheng tightened his grip on the handle, raising the shield axe beside him. The surface of the combined shield split open, revealing blades like a huge axe, radiating strands of golden Holy Light, entangled...

”Super Solution!”

”Boom!!”

With Fang Zheng’s move, a dazzling Crusader Strike exploded instantly, swallowing up dozens of creatures in front and turning them into ashes.

”Is this all?”

Hoisting the shield axe again, Fang Zheng glanced at the swept-clean scene before him and pouted. At this time, the villagers and adventurers he saved quickly gathered around.

”Lord Hero!”

”Lord Hero of the Shield!”

Heh, now they understand to call me lord.

”Quickly go to shelter, leave the creatures here to me.”

Fang Zheng nodded to the leading villager, then released another Shield of the Avenger, steadily drawing the aggro of the creatures attacking other villagers not far away.

”Raphtalia, you guide the other villagers to safety, Liphana, you’re fast, go around the village and draw those stray ones over to me like we did in battle before, got it?”

Since both Raphtalia and Liphana’s fighting styles were similar to WOW, Fang Zheng simply used the WOW method of power leveling a low-level instance. Most of the enemies would be pulled by him, while the few strays would be attracted by Liphana and pulled over to be AOE’d together. Raphtalia would act as an off-tank, ensuring the safety of the NPCs.

As for Fang Zheng... after all, he has a full set of Paladin skills, who’s afraid to switch to a defense stance?

”Yes!”

Because Fang Zheng had intentionally trained them several times before, the two immediately nodded and went to do their tasks.

Meanwhile, Fang Zheng whistled again before raising the shield axe in his hand.

”Hey, Sun Thief!”

With a shout, Fang Zheng swung the shield axe vigorously, and with his action, the Shield of the Avenger emitting golden radiance shot towards the sky, quickly exploding and flying like a rain of flowers, scattering towards every corner of the village.

Soon, a large swarm of demon creatures aggressively rushed towards Fang Zheng.

Heh, if this move could be used in the game, it would be so satisfying.

AoE aggro.

Facing hundreds of demon creatures, Fang Zheng didn’t care, merely lifting his right foot and stomping heavily on the ground.

”Consecration!”

Instantly, with Fang Zheng at the center, the dazzling Holy Light blasted out along the ground, burning like flames, swiftly sweeping away the demon creatures charging towards him. Then Fang Zheng swung the shield axe again, directly sending a large Ghoul flying.

However, these demon creatures obviously weren’t going to retreat that easily, or rather they didn’t have the concept of retreat at all. Even though the first wave of creatures had been completely wiped out by Fang Zheng, creatures falling from the sky still kept coming.

Although directly farming experience is enjoyable, fighting like this gets annoying... By the way, why is there no response from those three weaklings? Did they die?

Haha, just crossed over and died, luck is really bad.

”Lord Hero!”

While Fang Zheng was battling creatures and contemplating, suddenly, a group appeared from behind him.

”We’re here to help!”

”You guys?”

Turning around, Fang Zheng saw the group of villagers and adventurers he saved earlier, now gathering behind him.

”What are you doing here?”

”This is our village!”

The leader, who looked like the village chief, gripped his weapon excitedly.

”We want to protect our village too, and Lord Hero, you’re only one person, right?”

”I’m not alone... but whatever, as the saying goes, there’s always a way as long as you live, it doesn’t matter if the village is destroyed. If people die then... I’m telling you, I don’t do battle resurrection.”

Damn, Paladin doesn’t have battle resurrection, what was Blizzard thinking with this stupid design?

”But, but...”

”If you really want to help, then hurry up and evacuate those villagers who haven’t been moved yet!”

Fang Zheng pointed casually, and the Hammer of Judgment responded, smashing a demon creature attacking a mother and daughter into fragments.

”You all have families and children, right? What, don’t you care about your lives anymore? Do you want your families to lose a father in their youth, a husband in their middle age, or a son in their old age?”

”.........”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the villagers hesitated indeed. After all, if it was just one person, it wouldn’t matter if they died. But they have families......

”Go quickly, you can’t handle these demon creatures, just leave them to me.”

Although these waves of demon creatures were easy for Fang Zheng to handle, almost like a level 100 Paladin soloing a level 20 instance, just basic attacks would suffice. But these demon creatures were still elite monsters in the instance, and these villagers weren’t even level ten, they’d die with a single touch.

”Yes!”

This time, the villagers no longer hesitated, nodded respectfully to Fang Zheng, and quickly went to protect the other villagers as they evacuated. They pulled the women who couldn’t escape in time, picked up the crying children, and swiftly retreated out of the village.

”Master! There’s another wave over here!”

At this moment, Fang Zheng saw Liphana leap a few times from the rooftop not far away. Behind her, dozens of Bumblebee Monsters and Necromancer Fiends were rushing forward aggressively.

”Good timing!”

Fang Zheng pulled aggro with a Shield of the Avenger, then easily wiped out the demon creatures in front with a single sweep.

”What’s the situation?”

”Most of the villagers have been evacuated, only a few remain......what’s that?”

Before Liphana could finish her sentence, dozens of fire lights appeared in the distance. They flew like burning boulders thrown from a catapult, arcing across the sky, then exploded above the village, turning into a rain of fiery arrows covering the entire area.

”The evacuation isn’t over yet!”

Seeing this, Liphana’s eyes widened in shock, shouting aloud. At this moment, the villagers still in the village were also dumbfounded, not knowing what to do.

”Seven Rings of Seraphic Flame!”

Faced with the rain of fire covering the whole village, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, and a massive shield shaped like purple petals unfolded in the air, blocking the rain of fire.

After all, there were still some useful things in the Royal Wealth.

The fire rain swept down, and as Fang Zheng turned around, he saw a group of armored knights approaching in the distance.

The knight commander leading the group, upon seeing Fang Zheng, suddenly had his face darken.

”Tch, shield........”

”Heh......”

Looking at the knight commander before him, Fang Zheng chuckled dryly, but before he could speak, Raphtalia’s voice suddenly rang out.

”You bastard!!”

With a roar of rage, Raphtalia swung her longsword, lunging at the knight commander, but at that moment, a knight rushed forward and drew his sword to block Raphtalia’s attack.

”What do you think you’re doing?”

The ambushed knight commander was startled and shouted angrily.

”You knew that Lord Fang Zheng and the villagers were here, yet you ordered the fire attack. What are you trying to do!”

Raphtalia was exceptionally furious. She had just managed to evacuate the villagers, only to see the Knights’ Order set the village on fire. She was utterly shocked. Although the attack was stopped, Raphtalia rushed down, unsheathing her sword and charging at the knight commander upon seeing him.

”A mere subhuman, daring to defy the Kingdom Knight Order?”

Seeing this scene, the knight commander had a stern expression.

”Reckless fool!”

”I think the reckless ones are you.”

However, at this moment, Fang Zheng spoke.

”Listen well, I’ll only say this once. Now you have two choices: either go protect the remaining villagers and evacuate them, or get out of my way. If you dare to attack me again, for any reason, I guarantee you won’t survive the end of this wave.”

After saying this, Fang Zheng turned around and gripped his shield axe tightly once more.

”Liphana, Raphtalia, let’s go!”

”Yes.”

”Damn......!”

Seeing Fang Zheng and the others fighting the demon creatures, the knight commander clenched his fists, gripping his longsword as if to lift it. But at that moment, the knight who had blocked Raphtalia’s strike hurriedly stepped forward, grabbing the knight commander’s hand.

”Master, no......”

”Argh......damn......”

Watching Fang Zheng wield his shield axe, easily smashing a large Necromancer Fiend to pieces, the knight commander’s face turned blue, then white. He wasn’t a fool; he knew how strong the opponent was. After all, being able to block the entire Knights’ Order’s Fire Rain Magic with one move wasn’t something just anyone could do......

Not to mention, that was the Demon of the Shield!!

Even the king and princess weren’t his match. If he went up.......it would be a dead end too?

Moreover, the knight commander could feel that the other party wasn’t just saying it casually.

If he attacked, Fang Zheng would really kill him!

”.........”

Clutching his longsword, the knight commander took a deep breath, then gave the order.

”Leave this to the shield, let’s head to the Three Heroes!”

After saying this, the knight commander took his two confidants and fled without looking back.

Hearing the orders from their superior, the other soldiers hesitated, and at that moment, the knight who had blocked Raphtalia’s attack paused, then shouted loudly.

”Everyone, go protect the villagers and evacuate! Hero of the Shield!”

”I’m drawing the aggro of the small creatures, save as many as you can.”

Hearing the knight’s voice, Fang Zheng waved his hand, then swung his right hand, another Crusader Strike smashing towards the creatures in front.

”Super Solution!!”

Although most of the demon creatures were blocked by Fang Zheng, Raphtalia, and Liphana, they kept emerging from the whirlpool’s center. Even with Fang Zheng pulling aggro across the screen, he could only hold about four-fifths, and with Raphtalia and Liphana covering gaps, there were always some slipping through.

Compared to the villagers who weren’t even level ten, at least the knights could fight somewhat. They could at least handle the ones that slipped through.

Of course, if there were no NPCs evacuating, Fang Zheng would just use the Primordial Fire......but that wouldn’t work, using the Primordial Fire gives no experience!

Just from the past few waves, Raphtalia and Liphana were almost level 20 already!

One more wave, and they’d be rich, straight to level 20!

However, just as Fang Zheng wiped out another wave of creatures, seeing the experience bar close to 20 ready for one more push, the blood-red sky turned clear, and the whirlpool disappeared.

”MMP......”

Fang Zheng nearly swore, seeing the experience bar almost reach level 20.

Do you know that OCD can kill you?!

If I had known, I should have taken out that damn knight commander earlier!
