Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1496: Chapter 1495: Departure (Mei Juice Isn’t as Tasty as I Imagined)

”I never imagined that one day I would witness such existence, nor did I think I would have such an experience.”

Standing in the spacious hall, gazing at the technological style of decoration and architecture, Bishop Carl didn’t hide his amazement. He had lived long enough, but it was not until this moment that he realized there were things in this world far exceeding his imagination.

”So you should get out more, instead of nesting in that little place, my child.”

Colette sipped her Coke while humming softly.

”I really want to drag those idiots from the Myriad Deaths Society over here and let them see that their so-called ideas are worthless in this universe...”

”Child?”

Fang Zheng glanced at the elderly Bishop Carl, then at Colette, who looked no older than fourteen, and fell into contemplation.

”Mother is not my mother in the true sense, Lord Fang Zheng.”

Noticing Fang Zheng’s confusion, Bishop Carl chuckled and started to explain.

”I accepted mother’s bloodline and became a vampire, thus I am her child... It’s that simple.”

”Oh, I see, just like the True Ancestor and Dead Apostle... Normal, normal.”

Upon hearing Bishop Carl’s answer, Fang Zheng nodded. He had been pondering some outlandish things, but now it seemed he had been overthinking. Fang Zheng quickly shelved his thoughts, no longer dwelling on such nonsense.

”Lord Fang Zheng, may I ask... What exactly are we supposed to do?”

At this moment, Mary raised her hand curiously to inquire. This ”shock education” for those who had never left the surface was like a complete overhaul of their worldview. Most members sat in chairs, dumbfounded at Fang Zheng before them, afraid to speak as if he was an unreachable mysterious existence. This was normal; after all, not everyone could recover quickly after their worldview collapsed.

Only a few Female Mages who had stayed in the Heavenly Dao Palace for a while and people like Bishop Carl, who had lived a long time with rich experience, could accept all this in the shortest time.

But for others, it was very difficult.

”Just as well, I also need to tell you what we’re going to be doing next...”

Fang Zheng began to briefly introduce the situation to everyone. Of course, he omitted the Order Clan’s messy affairs and instead directly informed everyone that to further reduce Chaos’s intrusion into the world, he would repair and restart the Protective Barrier left by the Goddess of Order. As for everyone’s tasks...

”Your main mission is observation and recording, representing your respective clans in documenting everything that happens during this journey. Oh, and by the way, I will also visit everyone’s homeland...”

”Homeland?”

”Yes.”

Fang Zheng shrugged.

”Perhaps you don’t know, but in this world, all non-human races were brought here by the Goddess of Order from other planets to escape Chaos disasters. In fact, whether elves, dwarves, gnomes, or dragons, their homelands are all on other planets. While repairing the barrier, I’ll also visit these planets and may gain something.”

”Is there such a thing?”

At this, everyone was stunned, and an elf with long ears stood up in shock.

”Holy... Holy Knight, is what you said true? I, I think this matter is too important, maybe the Queen should personally...”

”Alright, calm down a bit, Molly.”

Watching the elf whose ears wouldn’t stop twitching with nervousness, Fang Zheng smiled and gestured for her to settle down. The representative of the Elf Clan this time was Molly and others who had met Fang Zheng several times before. They originally thought their visit was to assist Fang Zheng with some tasks, but they didn’t expect it to involve such vital matters!

”I’ve already informed Her Majesty the Queen about these circumstances, which is why you’ve been sent... No need to be so nervous.”

”Ah... Okay...”

Upon hearing this, Molly finally relaxed and quietly sat down. Not far behind her, the Golden Dragon Girl sitting there let out a light laugh.

”How interesting, I knew I couldn’t miss such an intriguing thing.”

”I understand, which is why you’re here.”

Looking at the Golden Dragon Girl before him, Fang Zheng helplessly shrugged. He initially hoped to notify the Golden Dragon Clan through her, but to Fang Zheng’s surprise, upon learning of his plans, the Golden Dragon Girl insisted on tagging along. She even vowed convincingly that the Golden Dragon Clan’s leader is an old fossil, talk without proof was worthless, and it’s better to bring back some tangible evidence to get them to listen!

Then, Fang Zheng, helplessly entangled by the Golden Dragon Girl, had no choice but to nod and agree to her proposal.

Incidentally, the Golden Dragon Girl also managed to persuade her sister to take over her position and help Fina with her work. As for herself, she could finally pat her butt... and go wherever she wanted.

As for her poor sister, well...

Guarding the world is a righteous act, how could one possibly refuse? Isn’t that right?

After all, Golden Dragons are lawfully good, aren’t they?

”In summary, your main task this time is to observe, record, and report. I don’t intend to let you join in the battles.”

Fang Zheng reiterated his point. The Kingdom of the Holy Church and the Magitech Nation already planned to fully control this continent, and they needed the full support of other species. That’s why Fang Zheng came up with this method of inviting influential species from this continent to send representatives to observe the world, letting them realize that this world is not just that one continent, and to see what is happening in this world.

Only in this way could the various races unite and fight together for survival.

Although they were different from each other, in the end, the ”Observers” agreed to Fang Zheng’s request. Of course, not everyone was willing to accept the current situation. For example, the dwarves sent representatives to Fang Zheng, hoping they could change rooms. Unlike others, having seen the universe with their own eyes, the dwarves became more convinced that their worries were correct—look at this infinite sky, what if you accidentally wander out and fall into the sky, never to return!

It’s still safer in our warm and comfortable caves!

In the end, Fang Zheng had to arrange for these dwarves to stay in a fully enclosed warehouse on the mothership, allowing them to relax. They simply couldn’t bear looking out through the portholes at the seemingly endless universe.

In contrast, the Elves preferred the gardens in the artificial greenhouse. They even volunteered to take care of the plants and flowers in the greenhouse, to which Fang Zheng, of course, agreed—after all, who wouldn’t want free top-tier gardeners?

As for the Paladins and Clerics, they were easy to deal with. Their only request was for Fang Zheng to provide a room where they could observe space as a meditation chamber. According to Bishop Carl’s thought, they could feel the will of the Goddess of Order from this deep and dark space...

Well, even though it was unclear if it was effective, at least they liked it, so Fang Zheng arranged the observatory for them.

And as for Mary, Delian, and the other mages, they were even easier to handle. They were already accustomed to life in the Heavenly Dao Palace, so naturally, they easily adapted here as well. Therefore, Fang Zheng entrusted them with arranging the matters for the mages. Presumably, it wasn’t a difficult task for them.

After settling in those guests who came from afar, Fang Zheng returned to the bridge.

”Neptune, how’s the exploration going?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Neptune’s figure immediately appeared before Fang Zheng.

”Reporting, Commander, I have dispatched a probe according to the coordinates provided by the Commander. So far... it’s not going very smoothly.”

”Reason?”

”Most areas have unstable signal transmission, making teleportation difficult.”

”I guessed as much.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t surprised by Neptune’s answer. He didn’t risk directly breaking through the barrier of the Goddess of Order but first followed the star map previously provided by the Goddess of Order, sending probes from Neptune to explore the four Order Coordinates.

”So there is still a part?”

”Yes, in Zone E, areas 12–25, the signal is transmitted normally, allowing for minimum level teleportation.”

”So we have to start from the safest place.”

Looking at the area marked by Neptune on the star map in front of him, Fang Zheng frowned. That happened to be one of the four Order Coordinates, and according to the system, it was relatively one of the better-preserved ones, with an integrity of about forty-five percent.

As expected, Chaos had disrupted the entire universe’s order. If one wanted to delve deeper, they had to proceed steadily and carefully.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed. He had originally planned to start from the lowest integrity area, but now it seemed he had to first repair the highest integrity Order Coordinate, then use the diffusion of order to gradually repair other areas... and this had to be done by himself. After all, according to the Goddess of Order, he was the only one in the entire universe currently possessing the Order Seal, so it was impossible for Fang Zheng not to take action himself.

But it didn’t matter, Fang Zheng had long been mentally prepared for this.

”Order the First Fleet to prepare.”

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng calmed his mind and issued the order.

”The target is area E14, departure in three hours!”

”Yes, Commander!”
