Chapter 1481: Chapter 1480: Enemy from Another World (Alpha One Is Pretty Fun)

Fang Zheng was leisurely brushing up his experience, while the Sword Hero and Hero of the Spear had already reached their limit.

They certainly knew what this battle meant. If they couldn’t demonstrate their strength and prove that they were indeed the Four Sacred Heroes, they would be regarded as imposters, and... like the Bow Hero, they would be killed by that damned bastard!

Therefore, they exerted all their efforts, raised their rank, and made adequate preparations. But the situation was far worse than they imagined.

Although they defeated the BOSS time and again, the BOSS revived repeatedly. In this scenario, the two of them couldn’t hold on any longer.

”We should kill the Captain first! That’s how it works in my game!”

”You’re talking nonsense. In my game, if you kill the Captain first, the Sea Beast will go berserk; we should kill the Sea Beast first!”

”You’re the one talking nonsense! If you kill the Sea Beast first, the Captain will split into two, making it even harder to defeat!”

The two sides bickered endlessly, neither listening to the other. Each was convinced their in-game experience was correct and the other was just babbling. In such conditions, they couldn’t cooperate and fought separately. But... even so, the situation didn’t improve. Instead, it became increasingly dire.

”Damn it!”

Watching the Captain, whose health had just been drained, revive again, the Sword Hero angrily gripped his longsword, momentarily unsure of what to do. He had never encountered this in the game. It shouldn’t be like this. What on earth was going on?

It was exactly the same as the game he played, so how could this error appear?

What’s wrong?

I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die!

However, at this moment, the Hero of the Spear’s anxiety far exceeded the Sword Hero’s; he involuntarily recalled how his comrades were miserably tortured and died in that ruin, causing him to shake all over and break into a cold sweat. I won’t die, I can’t die, I absolutely won’t die!

Yet, at this moment, the Sea Beast battling the Hero of the Spear suddenly thrust its head forward, biting onto the Hero of the Spear’s long spear. The Hero of the Spear was shocked by this unexpected scene. He vigorously shook his hands, trying to break free from the creature in front of him.

”Creature, let go! Let go! Get off!”

But before the Hero of the Spear could break free, two more heads suddenly appeared on the Sea Beast’s body, biting onto the Hero of the Spear’s arm and leg.

”Aaahhh!”

”What’s wrong?”

The Hero of the Spear’s scream startled the Sword Hero, causing him to swiftly turn his head. But in that brief moment of distraction, the Necromancer Captain in front of him suddenly swung its scimitar, a whirlwind arose and knocked the Sword Hero and his comrades off the flying ship. Accompanied by screams, the next moment, the Sword Hero fell to the ground, without a trace.

”These two are truly useless!”

Having cleared another wave of creatures, Fang Zheng learned what happened from Akemi Homura and tightened his grip on his shield axe.

”Now it’s our turn. Let’s go, Homura!”

”Yes, Master!”

As she spoke, Akemi Homura raised her Sacred Bow, aiming at the distant flying ship. Soon, a shining arrow gathered at her fingertips, and Akemi Homura gently released her fingers.

”Whoosh—————!”

A streak of radiant light shot across the sky like a meteor, heading straight for the ship, and as it was about to strike the ship, the Arrow of Light burst like fireworks, enveloping the entire ship. Then, a series of brilliant flames erupted, engulfing the ship, and with that, the ”Flying Henan People” ship soaring through the sky plummeted to the ground, enveloped in smoke.

Meanwhile, Fang Zheng was already prepared below.

Watching the massive object falling from the sky, Fang Zheng raised his shield axe, the shining Holy Light flickered, and the sturdy shield forming the sword split apart.

Then, holding the shield axe, he struck down harshly at the approaching ship!

”Super Solution!!”

A flash of sword light.

The falling ship was instantly cleaved in two, and the Primordial Fire erupted from within, quickly engulfing the entire ship within seconds. With a piercing scream, Fang Zheng saw a twisted shadow emerge from the flames and then was burnt to ashes in the blink of an eye.

Hmph, trying to escape after being caught by Primordial Fire? Impossible.

Under the fiery blaze, in less than a minute, the massive ship was completely incinerated. Only then did Fang Zheng let out a sigh of relief, casually flicking his shield axe back into shield form. At this point, Akemi Homura, Raphtalia, Liphana, and Filo joined Fang Zheng.

”Master, you’re so amazing!”

Transformed back into a child, Filo happily pounced and hugged Fang Zheng, while Raphtalia and Liphana beside him also sighed in relief.

”Are you alright, Master?”

”Of course, such a small BOSS is just a mere flick of my hand...”

However, before Fang Zheng could finish, he saw a series of purple light beams flash from afar, shooting towards them!

”Seven Rings of Seraphic Flame!”

Fang Zheng swiftly extended his hand, and a lavender petal-like round shield instantly appeared in front of them, blocking this unexpected attack.

”Truly worthy of being a Hero.”

At the same time, accompanied by this voice, a woman quietly appeared in mid-air and slowly landed. She wore a pitch-black kimono, had long black straight hair, and held two fans that looked like they were made of iron.

”Who are you?”

Fang Zheng raised his shield axe, and Akemi Homura raised her longbow, aiming at the woman in front. In response to Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the woman merely smiled slightly.

”I am called Glass, and now... well, just consider me an enemy of you Heroes.”

”Enemy?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng squinted his eyes. Indeed, on the system interface in front of him, this woman named Glass was displayed as ”Enemy,” with her rank as a question mark. This meant that her rank was much higher than his own, but... does a high rank mean anything?

”If that’s the case, then prepare to face death!”

”Just as I wished.”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Glass smiled and raised the fan in her hand.

”Then, let’s begin the true battle of the waves!”

”Let’s go!”

Since the opponent didn’t demand a one-on-one fight, Fang Zheng naturally wouldn’t either. No way he’d insist on a duel when they could gang up instead.

I’m not stupid!

”Tracking mode!”

As soon as Fang Zheng’s words fell, Akemi Homura’s figure instantly disappeared, then reappeared on the mountainside not far away. She raised her sacred bow and released an arrow aimed at Glass. However, in the face of Akemi Homura’s attack, Glass merely flicked her fan, instantly rendering Akemi Homura’s light arrow void.

Indeed, for Akemi Homura, a low rank was still a crippling weakness.

”Hah...!”

Meanwhile, Raphtalia and Filo, who had transformed back into her plump bird form, flanked Glass from left and right. Raphtalia shouted, swinging her longsword forcefully at Glass. However, Glass casually waved her left fan, blocking Raphtalia’s attack. With a twist of her wrist, she deflected Raphtalia’s force. A soft ”snap” was heard, and in the next moment, Raphtalia’s longsword broke into two!

”What?”

Looking at the broken longsword in her hand, Raphtalia was stunned. This was a superior magic weapon bought by Fang Zheng from the bald boss in King’s City, yet it was so easily broken by the opponent?

”Haaahhhh!!”

As Raphtalia retreated, Filo also dashed over from the other side, raising her claws for a fierce kick at Glass.

Though Filo was fast, even giving the impression of having mastered the Shadowless Kick, Glass effortlessly fended off her attacks, and then casually opened her fan, giving a gentle tap. In the next moment, Filo let out a scream as she rolled back like a panda.

At the same time, a glint of cold light silently stabbed from behind Glass.

Unfortunately...

”Clang!”

Without even moving, Glass blocked Liphana’s sneak attack.

”Nice try, but too bad, your rank is too low.”

With two fingers clamping Liphana’s dagger, Glass’s expression remained unchanged.

But just then, Fang Zheng’s voice rang out.

”Then, taste this!”

Accompanied by Fang Zheng’s voice, the shield axe burning with primordial fire howled through the air, cleaving down towards Glass!

Seeing the shield axe before her, Glass’s expression finally changed slightly. She hurriedly raised her iron fan to meet Fang Zheng’s shield axe!

”Boom!!!”

With a massive bang, dust flew up as if Glass was hit by a truck, she was sent flying out of the dust cloud. After rolling a few times on the ground, she just barely managed to stand up again. Her eyes widened in surprise, breathing heavily. At the same time, Fang Zheng also gripped his shield axe tightly, walking out from the dust.

”How... how can you be this strong? You’re only level fifty-two!”

”Thus, rank doesn’t explain everything.”

Fang Zheng raised his shield axe again, pointing it at the Glass before him.

”I can’t see your rank, but in front of me, you are still defenseless.”

”...... Very well.”

Hearing this, Glass’s face darkened. Then, she clenched the iron fan in her hand and stood up.

”If that’s the case, then I will also get serious. For the sake of our world, you must die!”

”Then let’s see if you have the skills to do it!”
