Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1457: Chapter 1456: Spoiling Everything for You

The first day of the Holy Grail War ended in such a chaotic situation.

However, for the remaining servants and their masters, the situation became increasingly severe.

Now almost everyone believes that Caster and her master, the girl who claims to be the magical girl Red Ponytail, are the most terrifying enemies. It’s important to know that she almost wiped them out completely!

If it weren’t for Archer’s Noble Phantasm at the end, none of their servants could have escaped! They all would have died inside that inexplicable Inherent Barrier!

But Archer’s situation isn’t great either... well, in fact, the next day everyone received information that Archer was still taken out by Red Ponytail.

”What should we do...”

Staring at the map of Fuyuki City in front of him, Emiya Kiritsugu impatiently tapped the table. The appearance of Red Ponytail had utterly disrupted all of Kiritsugu’s plans. Generally speaking, if a servant is too strong, then the target should shift to the master, which was also Kiritsugu’s plan.

However, this plan completely collapsed now unless he could take down Red Ponytail. Killing the master to eliminate that group was impossible otherwise.

As for killing Caster? Well... it’s not impossible, but what difference would it make if he killed Caster? Judging from Red Ponytail’s power displayed that day, she didn’t even need Caster to overpower Saber and Lancer, and later directly killed Archer...

In the end, Kiritsugu despairingly discovered that no matter how he planned, Red Ponytail and Caster were insurmountable obstacles in his quest for the Holy Grail. What frustrated him more was that this group seemingly had no weaknesses. Although generally, Caster should be weak in close combat, after seeing her punch Rider’s chariot to pieces, this assumption clearly doesn’t hold.

Just kidding, Rider is a hero spirit based on riding! The things he rides wouldn’t be mundane! Yet it was destroyed in one punch by Caster, who would dare to say that Caster isn’t good at close combat; Kiritsugu would definitely spit in their face.

As for Red Ponytail, it’s even more out of the question. Although Kiritsugu thought about using sniping, explosives, and poison gas bombs, based on Red Ponytail’s previous performances, he doubted whether those ideas would even work. What if it didn’t work and annoyed her to directly cause him trouble... Emiya Kiritsugu admitted he didn’t have Archer’s capabilities; if caught, he’d definitely die.

”Kiritsugu.”

While Kiritsugu was in a state of distress, suddenly, Irisviel’s voice came from beside him, and he looked up at his wife.

”What’s up, Ellie?”

”That is...”

Upon hearing Kiritsugu’s inquiry, Ellie hesitated for a moment, but still spoke.

”I want to go to the city with Saber...”

”Go to the city?”

Hearing this, Kiritsugu felt puzzled, because even though it was daytime, there were still dangers in the city. Not to mention, the original plan was for Ellie to stay in the castle, as it was safer on their own turf. But now, Ellie was actually saying she wanted to go to the city?

”Yes, I...”

Speaking up to this point, Ellie paused for a moment, then clenched her fist.

”I... want to go see that child...”

”.....”

Although Ellie didn’t explicitly say it, Kiritsugu naturally knew who she was referring to. To be honest, this was something he had been troubled by, even afraid to face.

Because after last night’s battle, Emiya Kiritsugu could confirm that the Caster was none other than his own daughter, Illya.

But... his daughter actually became a heroic spirit?!

What on earth happened?!

From his interactions with Saber, it’s clear Kiritsugu doesn’t like these heroes, yet his daughter became a heroic spirit and participated in this Holy Grail War...

What had she gone through? Why did she become like this?

This was not only Kiritsugu’s question; as a mother, Irisviel was even more eager to get an answer. That’s why she wanted to venture into the city and find Caster to ask what happened.

”... Alright, no problem, Saber will protect you, and we do need more information.”

Finally, Kiritsugu nodded.

In fact, it was something he wanted to know as well.

Meanwhile, in the city, Fang Zheng showed no signs of having just experienced a big battle; instead, he was leisurely taking Illya and Little Sakura around for shopping.

”This looks good, let’s go try some.”

”That dress is quite beautiful, do you want to buy it?”

While helping Illya and Little Sakura try on new clothes, Fang Zheng didn’t forget to use his personal terminal to take photos of the two and save them in a folder.

”Today, should we go to an amusement park or watch a movie?”

”I want to watch a movie, Master.”

”I, I also want to...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s suggestion, Illya raised her hand, and Little Sakura also showed an expression of anticipation. Hearing their responses, Fang Zheng waved his hand.

”Then let’s go to the movies!”

You have to admit, 1994 was indeed a golden age of cinema. Compared to twenty years later, when there was hardly anything good to watch and Hollywood completely declined, 1994 was a golden era for movie theaters. Just walking into a cinema and looking at the posters made one feel nostalgic.

”Hmm... so many classics.”

Standing in the cinema lobby, looking at the posters, Fang Zheng stroked his chin and thought.

What’s good to watch?

”Léon: The Professional”... not suitable for kids.

”The Shawshank Redemption”... too early for Illya and Little Sakura.

”Forrest Gump”... not bad.

”The Lion King”... ”The Mask”... ”True Lies”... ”Interview with the Vampire”... ”Speed”... decided, let’s watch that one!

With that thought, Fang Zheng made a decision and proceeded to the ticket counter.

”Three tickets for Lion King...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng turned his head to look at Illya and Little Sakura standing beside him.

”...Children’s tickets!”

After all, it’s a discount!

The Lion King was still quite good to watch, although the story was relatively average, the songs were still quite enjoyable. Illya and Little Sakura also watched with excitement and enthusiasm, and Fang Zheng himself took it as a chance to revisit a classic — after all, watching a movie in a cinema with popcorn is a different experience from watching it on a computer screen at home.

The three of them were thoroughly satisfied after watching the movie, and it was already noon when they left the cinema.

”Alright, let’s go get something to eat...”

After checking the time, Fang Zheng led Illya and Little Sakura towards a fast-food restaurant, but at that moment, a hearty voice suddenly rang out.

”Hey, isn’t this the young missies? What are you all up to?”

”RIDER?”

Hearing this voice, Fang Zheng turned around to see the burly RIDER waving excitedly at them from a distance, with the frail-looking MASTER next to him appearing pale and desperately pulling at RIDER, seemingly trying to drag him away.

But to no avail, his small frame, which barely reached RIDER’s chest, couldn’t budge RIDER at all.

”We just finished watching a movie and were planning to have lunch.”

”Oh, what a coincidence.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, RIDER let out a hearty laugh.

”Just as well, my MASTER and I just finished shopping and were about to head back. How about we join you?”

”I don’t mind, come along if you want.”

Fang Zheng naturally didn’t mind, Illya certainly didn’t mind either, and as for Little Sakura... she cared even less.

So, the group headed to a nearby fast-food restaurant, and thanks to RIDER’s imposing figure, they easily secured a good spot.

”Indeed, inviting you was the right choice.”

Looking at the frightened patrons who kept their distance, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction.

”If you weren’t here, we might have waited a long time to find a seat.”

”Hahaha, it just means the commoners are in awe of my majesty.”

Grabbing a burger, RIDER laughed heartily and shoved the burger into his mouth.

Meanwhile, Weber sipped his coke, looking as if the world was ending, with his head hanging low in silence.

However, at that moment, another voice suddenly arose among them.

”Excuse me, may I sit here?”

Hearing this voice, everyone looked up to see Irisviel standing there with a smile, and by her side, SABER watched them with a serious expression.

”I don’t mind... What about you, young missies?”

”It’s fine, the more the merrier, right, Illya?”

”Ah, um...!”

Upon Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Illya quickly nodded and then sneaked a glance at Irisviel, not daring to even breathe.

What is going on?

Looking at Illya in front of him, Fang Zheng curiously blinked.

Come to think of it, he forgot to ask Illya, what’s Irisviel’s personality like in that world?

Illya looks just like a mouse seeing a cat... Based on Irisviel’s personality from the anime, it shouldn’t be like that, right?

After receiving consent from both RIDER and Fang Zheng, Irisviel and SABER also sat down, squeezing the table to its capacity. Little Sakura, though a bit nervous about the sudden influx of unfamiliar faces, just scooted closer to Fang Zheng and Illya without saying much.

”Puhah!!”

After gulping down five or six burgers and a cup of coke, RIDER let out a hearty burp and placed the empty cup on the table.

”By the way, since we’re all gathered here, why don’t we share what wishes we’d like the Holy Grail to grant us? Aren’t we all here because we have wishes we want the Holy Grail to fulfill?”

”Oh, sorry, I’m not one of them.”

Before the others could speak, Fang Zheng had already raised his hand in objection. The others, hearing Fang Zheng’s response, looked at her curiously.

”Oh? Young missy? You’re not in it for a wish? Then why are you participating in the Holy Grail War? Don’t tell me you’re just passing by.”

”It’s not that...”

Fang Zheng devoured the chicken nugget in front of him and took a sip of coke.

”My goal is simple, and that is to defeat the other Servants, win the Holy Grail War, and summon the Holy Grail...”

”Uh-huh, then what?”

”Then I’ll chop it up along with the Greater Holy Grail.”

Fang Zheng calmly, decisively, and straightforwardly spoiled the group with a revelation.
