Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 190: Chapter 187: Lineage Confirmed

It rained again in Pyrite Town after a long absence.

Undoubtedly, this was the work of the Dragon Tamers.

They dispersed the acidic substances hovering above Pyrite Town to desolate areas and summoned clean rain clouds to wash the earth that resembled ruins.

The heavy rain slowly extinguished the fires that raged around and also brought a sense of vitality to the hearts of Pyrite Town People.

In the eyes of the commoners, the trainers, who hold high status, would never do such things because they just care for themselves and would fill in from them when their own interests were harmed.

The Rescue Organization, however, is different.

People belonging to this organization not only came from their side but are not all strong and tall men or women; even those short in stature or feeble are also part of the Rescue Organization.

Both the sunless Underground City and the once exceptionally bustling Underground City have been shut down, even the casinos and entertainment shops above the ground weren’t spared.

The smelting plants and mines, which used to work at least sixteen hours a day, have turned into eight-hour workdays, and wages not only did not drop but increased.

High tribute and ”tax fees” were no longer required, and the new tax fees are considerably lower than ever before.

Moreover, the Rescue Organization helps rebuild collapsed houses at extremely low costs, provides free medical treatment, saves their family members buried under rubble... even forces the former power holders to build homes for them.

What makes them even happier is that the once unattainable Pokémon gradually appeared around them, helping them in various tasks.

Of course.

The most important thing is to be able to eat enough.

To gain the assets that rightfully belong to them.

Originally, the act of ”seizing wealth and dividing land” was an exclusive to the powerholders, but now they too could get their share.

However, not everything was smooth-sailing.

For the commoners, the Rescue Organization’s demand that everyone becomes literate was indeed a bit difficult.

Literacy was not seen as a necessary survival skill for them at first; at least, that’s what the commoners thought, but with every job that the Rescue Organization offered came with a strong literacy requirement.

For example, attending literacy classes for a few days and recognizing a certain number of characters, demanded in such detail forced them to go to great lengths to learn those strange-looking characters.

So that those enviable job opportunities wouldn’t be taken away.

Under the heavy rains, Pyrite Town blossomed with a renewed vitality.

But at this moment.

Baimu was experiencing a rather awkward scene.

The wooden signs he made were being examined by a group of people in cloaks, and Wu was jumping around nearby, occasionally interjecting with some jokes, making it hard for him to focus on chatting with Mr. Da Wu.

”Looks like I didn’t pick a good time.”

Mr. Da Wu didn’t seem to mind his frequent glances away; it was after all a casual chat after the meal, and he chuckled, ”But I still must thank you for your gracious hospitality.”

To treat these faraway guests who came to assist.

Baimu temporarily said goodbye to his role as a trainer and transformed into a dedicated chef, personally preparing a variety of delicious dishes to repay them.

For Da Wu and the others, being able to enjoy such delicious food after a battle was enough to boost their spirits.

”No, no, no, compared to Mr. Da Wu’s help, a meal is nothing at all.”

Baimu quickly waved his hand.

Genji went to rest after the meal, and although his body was still quite sturdy, lengthy battles were still a considerable burden for an old man.

But according to Genji’s crew, compared to the exhaustion of battle, the old man actually found it harder to get used to staying on land for so long, especially in the barren inland area like Pyrite Town with no seawater or plants, so some rest was due.

Baimu took their words to heart.

”Well, please do not mind me, Pyrite Town might be barren, but this atmosphere of collaboration between Pokémon and humans is indeed wonderful.”

Mr. Da Wu stood up, seemingly intending to go for a walk, ”Moreover, I heard this region is rich in various metals, I wonder if there are any precious stones that I seek, my urge to collect is driving me to take a stroll to the mine.”

Saying this.

This Champion left, dressed in simple attire, probably had plans all along.

Baimu really wanted to go along but had to stay where he was, watching as Deino gnawed on his right hand while petting it with his left hand.

Because every time he tried to go somewhere else, Wu would suddenly shout ”Baimu, where are you going,” causing those Dragon Tamers to all turn their heads his way.

Quite intimidating.

Upon returning to the sofa, a Mawile next to him was sipping tea.

No one knows who stuffed these into the rescue supplies; there are several cans discovered by Lairon after Shanren threw them into his house—

The Big Monster smelled the scent of dried plants and thought some idiot had burned its tree indoors. It rushed in hurriedly and found only tea leaves.

Baimu attempted to brew a few cups, but almost no one was willing to try a second cup, except for Mawile, who fell in love with the rich taste and asked Baimu to brew it for him every day.

Such a small request, Baimu would naturally oblige.

”Ah... should’ve gone looking for N.”

N and his two sisters are still taking care of Pokémon, with the number rescued barely in the tens of thousands, and he longs to find them a good home, rather than keeping them in Pokeballs.

Yet, with Pyrite Town’s current environment, accommodating Rock, Ground, Steel, Fire, and Grass Attribute Pokémon is barely tolerable, but it’s not so friendly to Ice, Bug, Water Attributes Pokémon.

Moreover, Pokémon possess multiple complex Attributes.

Creating a Pokémon Reserved Area with diverse environments is imperative.

Of course, such a project is enormous and can’t be completed in a day or two. N knows well that relying solely on Pokémon to build such a place is difficult, so he proactively asks Pokémon to help the Pyrite Town People.

In the future, the Pyrite Town People will reciprocate the Pokémon.

As long as Shanren is around, I believe the Pyrite Town People won’t be ungrateful.

Baimu also blesses this man who found his career starting point successfully and believes he can create a beautiful kingdom where Pokémon can thrive in the Ore Region.

While pondering.

The group of Dragon Tamers approached.

One person asked with a cheerful smile, ”Where’d you get this badge?”

”My father left it to me.”

Baimu didn’t know whether they noticed this badge was newly made anyway, he himself firmly insisted it was given by someone else, he knew nothing about it.

Couldn’t possibly say he made it himself? That would be even harder to explain.

”Did your father mention your grandfather or ancestors when he gave you this?”

They continued asking.

Baimu shook his head, ”I was quite young back then, really can’t remember, is there a problem with this badge?”

The Dragon Tamers exchanged glances, then said, ”We discovered that the history of this badge is at most, no more than twenty years old, but the style... dates back a hundred years.”

”—How many?”

He was stunned.

”A hundred years ago.” Someone thought he hadn’t heard clearly, ”Dragon People have always spread around the world, it’s not too surprising that someone reached the Ore Region...

”We contacted the people from Meteor Village to compare genealogies, and a hundred years ago, indeed many Dragon Tamers left and never returned, likely there were your ancestors among them. As for this badge, possibly your father damaged the old one and made this new replica.”

The Dragon Tamers laughed.

They managed to patch it up!?

Baimu was dumbfounded, not understanding why the other party deduced from him being of Dragon People descent, patching up their own logical holes.

”So I can’t be fully a Dragon Person?” he asked tentatively.

”Not so, Dragon People don’t emphasize pure bloodlines, as long as you are a descendant, you can be either a Dragon Tamer or Dragon Person.”

An elder chuckled while looking at Deino, ”You nurtured this Deino well, it has strong limbs and a robust physique, crucially it can master biting force, quite a feat for Dragon-type Pokémon.”

”Indeed.”

”This white hair... dyed, huh.”

”You only have one Dragon-type Pokémon, right? Remember to capture a few more, that’s what makes a Dragon Tamer!”

”If you don’t mind, come find me at Meteor Falls sometime, I’ve got several Dragon-type Pokémon at home, could hand them over for your nurturing.”

This crowd, one after another, firmly determined Baimu’s lineage and background.

Baimu responded with an awkward smile, his heart racing, while Wu kept yelling, ”Haxorus! How can a Dragon Tamer not nurture Haxorus! Look at these sharp tusks, look at this strong tail, is there any Dragon-type Pokémon to compare?”

”Good lad! I like your daring as a Dragon Tamer! Come challenge my treasure!”

Others, hearing this, pulled out their Pokeballs and released various Dragon-type Pokémon to compete.

Some brought out Gyarados and Charizard to compare, nearly filling the room.
