Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 179: Chapter 176: Founding the Rainbow Team

Leo’s arrival accelerated Liu Ge’s plan further.

Although things were developing in a positive direction, everyone couldn’t help but feel it might be happening too quickly.

Thus,

Upon Liu Ge’s proposal, the Rescue Organization convened some leaders to hold an emergency meeting through the secret network.

Baimu and Mr. N were both invited, taking the opportunity to meet the many heads of the Rescue Organization, including Shanren’s father Dennis—a genteel middle-aged man bearing some resemblance to him.

Flop had told him that when he initially offended the Crystal Team, it was under this man’s verbal protection that he got a chance to breathe.

With Dennis’s power, Cang Zhilang chose to protect him.

Otherwise, as a mere formal member, Chester could easily crush him, so why go through the trouble of sending someone to have the Evil Dog Team next door break Baimu’s legs?

Thus, Baimu felt somewhat grateful to Shanren’s father.

At this moment, the main purpose of the meeting called by Liu Ge was to decide whether they should take this opportunity to reveal the existence of the Rescue Organization.

Thanks to Ying Yuan’s earlier assistance, their current territory had further expanded, and with more and more civilians joining, there was an extreme fervor brewing. Everyone began to chant the name of the Rescue Organization, hoping for an order where they could thrive amidst chaos.

Not only in their territory, but in territories of other factions, civilians also started wishing for their arrival, leaving many Rescue Organization members lurking within those factions unsure of what to do.

In other words, the Pyrite Town division of the Rescue Organization was like an arrow on the bowstring, ready to be released.

However, this was not part of the plan.

According to the plan, they would reveal their name only when the Ergin Forces arrived and clashed with all the hastily integrated chaotic forces within Pyrite Town.

Once the last batch of Trainers in Pyrite Town was suppressed, and the Ergin Forces had been somewhat reduced, they would then come out to suppress both sides to ensure opportunities for the people over in Silicon City.

But the Ergin Forces had yet to arrive, and to immediately expose the Rescue Organization’s existence would inevitably alert Ergin, causing them to doubt identities, and prompting them to redirect their forces wholly towards Quicksand Team’s territory, rather than spreading out.

After all, Ergin feared a rebellion against Silicon City’s rule more than anything else.

Direct confrontation between the two sides wasn’t in Liu Ge’s plan either.

Even though they already possessed power capable of matching the Ergin Forces.

Upon hearing this, other leaders present began discussing whether or not to expose the organization.

At this moment.

Shanren suddenly spoke up.

”Actually, we can create another force to divert attention within Pyrite Town.”

When everyone turned their gaze towards him, Shanren confidently stated that since the Rescue Organization couldn’t be exposed for now, they should create another force powerful enough to overshadow the current public clamor and mix up perceptions.

Essentially, establishing a new shell faction based on the original Quicksand Team, directing the voices belonging to the Rescue Organization to temporarily gather around one person.

If the situation is blown up large enough, the voice of the Rescue Organization would be temporarily suppressed.

Since the Ergin Forces would arrive in Pyrite Town in about two days, this shell faction only needed to last for less than two days. Once the Ergin Forces arrived and began the suppression, this shell would naturally fade away.

”Here, I must introduce to you a well-known figure within Pyrite Town—Mr. Baimu!”

Shanren abruptly brought Baimu to the forefront, ”I believe everyone in Pyrite Town has heard of his name, and recently in the former Evil Dog Team territory, he and his companion Mr. Gropius’s actions, along with winning over a large portion of the general public’s hearts.”

”Temporarily promoting him to shift the focus would undoubtedly be the best choice!”

WTF?!

Not expecting Shanren’s maneuver, Baimu awkwardly smiled at the group of bigwigs, unable to find the words to say for a moment.

From the center, Dennis looked at him and suddenly raised his hand, ”I think it’s feasible, as it’s just a temporary representation. Once the dust settles, we will need a banner to lead the people forward. Bringing someone forward as an example is an extremely good choice.”

”...I second that!”

”I second that!”

A series of agreements left Baimu feeling dizzy.

This matter was settled, and as for whether the former wanted to or not... could he refuse something so significant?

After the meeting ended.

Baimu caught up with Shanren and said:

”What are you planning to do?”

”Of course, to take the first step toward our future. If you don’t establish your leadership position now, who will entrust Pyrite Town to a nobody like you when this is all over?”

”Then why didn’t you discuss it with me?”

”Weren’t you ready for this? Don’t tell me you never thought about this day.”

Facing Shanren’s smile as he spoke, Baimu didn’t know what to say for a moment.

After all, he had indeed considered it.

”You and Mr. N understand the people and Pokémon better than anyone else, making you the best partners. As for me... you know my current identity can’t be exposed.”

Shanren continued, ”Moreover, I have to go to Jinqing Port to fetch our high-tech equipment.”

Baimu marveled, ”So fast with De Wen Company’s support!”

”Efficiency is everything for high-tech companies, and they also know the urgency on our side.” Shanren patted his shoulder, ”Honor, fame, and logistics; I’ll handle it all for you. You just need to continue getting stronger.”

”You... You’re making me the Dan Emperor here.”

Understanding Shanren’s motives, he couldn’t help but sigh.

”Isn’t it good?”

The latter asked, then as if realizing something, chuckled, ”Don’t worry, I won’t restrict your freedom. Ore’s rise is a long process; you’ll have more time to travel and grow.”

Baimu shrugged, noncommittal.

——

That afternoon after the meeting.

Under Liu Ge and the others’ arrangements, a voice louder than the Rescue Organization’s began to draw the attention of all forces in Pyrite Town—

”The Rainbow Team is established.”

Celebrated as the symbol of clear skies after rain, the Rainbow appears.

The first leader being the recently renowned Baimu.

The achievements of annihilating the Toxicroak Corps were all attributed to him. Furthermore, it was Baimu who raided the Toxicroak’s base, and it was also him who rallied the people within the Evil Dog Team’s territory for a counter-attack.

In a short time.

His fame reached its peak within Pyrite Town, unmatched.

Some say his strength was on par with the former Quicksand Team boss, while others say he is a lost child of the Dragon People, having recently allied with them and gained their support.

There are also claims that Baimu is extremely friendly towards civilians, ensuring every civilian in his territory has enough to eat.

To divert attention away from the Rescue Organization, Liu Ge and the others utilized all their hidden assets to wildly praise Baimu, blurring truths with fabrications.

Even Baimu’s few followers bought into it.

Even those on Cyan Iridium Street firmly believed in Baimu having Dragon People lineage.

Baimu was suddenly elevated to great heights.

At the same time, the newly formed Rainbow Team began to expand outward, causing surrounding powers to be on edge.
