Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 188: Chapter 185: Little Egg’s Wish (47/54)

The second batch of support arrived faster than Baimu had expected.

Almost just half a day after Shanren.

Once the professionals arrived, the relatively awkward medical staff were left to just play supporting roles.

Occasionally, you could hear complaints from Miss Joys.

”Be gentle, this isn’t a rock!”

”Don’t reuse gloves!”

”The way you’re bandaging it will come undone, oh dear, let me do it!”

”Where’s the medicine? These things need to be prepared in advance!”

”Audino, you better handle this.”

”Blissey, I’ll leave it to you.”

Thus.

The healthcare staff in Pyrite Town could only awkwardly and helplessly do some logistical work. Whether it was their attitude towards patients and injured Pokémon or their medical skills, they were far behind Miss Joy.

Baimu was also freed.

Shanren, as an excellent manager, took charge of the backend, and the Rainbow Team was operating in a highly organized manner under his guidance, with everyone having something to do—

Excluding him.

According to Shanren, he had already achieved enough and didn’t need to be in the spotlight anymore. The urgent task was to rest and recharge.

But how could Baimu sleep? With the roaring sounds continuing outside and the battle not yet over, after putting an overly exhausted Aggron and other Pokémon to sleep, he brought Chansey to the Pokémon Center to take a look.

”Miss Joy, huh...”

He looked at the bustling pink-haired nurse in the hall and fully understood the greatest mystery of the animated world—the power of the Joy Clan.

How did Xiaogang recognize which city these almost identical-looking women belonged to?

That’s just too incredible.

Baimu was almost afraid to talk with them, fearing that if he got too familiar with one, he might mistakenly think she was someone else, which would be awkward.

”lucky~”

Chansey watched the passing Blisseys, its eyes full of longing.

”Do you want to be a Pokémon nurse?”

Baimu asked curiously.

Chansey shook its head hesitantly back and forth, ”lucky!”

”Then do you want to evolve?”

It shook its head again, ”lucky!”

”Since it’s neither, you must be envious of their excellent Pokémon caregiving skills,” Baimu said after some thought.

This time Chansey finally nodded, even looking forward as it clasped its small hands together.

”lucky!”

As a Pokémon naturally inclined to care for the sick, Chansey was quite envious of those Pokémon nurses, jealous of their impressive skills.

Baimu looked at Chansey, then at the busy Miss Joys in the distance, and said, ”Wait for me.”

”lucky?”

Chansey was confused until it saw Baimu approach one of the Joys.

He bowed repeatedly with a big smile, saying something that initially made the Joy upset, but after listening to Baimu, she glanced over towards it.

It instinctively turned its head away, not daring to make eye contact, and when it looked up again, it found that Miss Joy no longer looked angry.

Instead.

Baimu came back.

”I got you a chance to observe them as an assistant Pokémon nurse while they care for patients. Quickly go, that Miss Joy is waiting for you.”

He smiled and patted Chansey’s head.

Chansey looked up at him, eyes filled with surprise and joy, ”lucky?”

”Go quickly, don’t keep her waiting, she’s very busy.”

Baimu gently pushed Chansey forward, and Chansey walked a couple of steps before looking back, seeing him nodding encouragingly, and finally heading towards Miss Joy.

”lucky~”

Chansey shyly looked at her.

”Hello, I’m Joy.” Miss Joy’s face was full of gentleness as she softly petted Chansey’s head, ”Don’t be nervous, you will stay by my side temporarily, and I will guide you.”

”lucky!”

Chansey nodded vigorously, then looked towards the entrance of the Pokémon Center, but Baimu had already turned and left.

Evidently.

The reason he had come to the Pokémon Center wasn’t leisure but because he had discerned its envy of Blissey and other Pokémon nurses and purposefully came to enlighten it.

Thinking of this filled Chansey’s heart with warmth.

Miss Joy also said, ”You have a trainer who truly thinks about you.”

Chansey paused for a moment and then smiled brightly, ”lucky!”

Yes.

He’s the best!

——

On the rooftop of the Rainbow Team’s office building.

”It’s basically coming to an end, huh.”

Baimu stood on a water tank, looking out over the entire Pyrite Town.

Da Wu and the others truly spared no effort, fighting tenaciously from day to night. Not mentioning their impressive endurance, the dedication alone was enough to make him moved.

The venerable Champion and Four Heavenly Kings fought for an unfamiliar city until the last minute.

In pursuit of justice, Da Wu took the lead.

When Fladari wanted to destroy Carlos, he appeared without hesitation and defeated many members of the Flashing Flame Team. Much of the goodness in the Pokémon animated world environment likely had his help.

Suddenly.

”Baimu! Baimu!”

He was called from behind.

Turning around, Baimu saw it was Cheng Hong, ”Why aren’t you at Magnetic Barium Street calming everyone down? What’re you doing here?”

With celestial beings fighting, mortals suffer. Not all civilians dared to rush into the battlefield, and to prevent panic from spreading, the Rainbow Team specifically assigned people to soothe the distressed civilians.

”Otsuka is handling it there. I came to help transport the Shadow Pokémon back. Flop is waiting for you downstairs. He said he has something to show you.”

Cheng Hong pointed downstairs, ”In the third basement level.”

”...What is it?”

”Should be something related to Shadow Pokémon.”

Hearing it was related to Shadow Pokémon, Baimu nodded and jumped down from the water tank.

Just as he was about to leave through the balcony door, Cheng Hong’s voice came again, ”Baimu, things have been happening so fast these days, so fast I can hardly react... Can Liu Ge and the others truly bring us the life we desire?”

He slowed his steps, ”What is true is real, and what is fake can’t be real. We’ll see if it works with our own eyes.”

”But I heard from Otsuka, you plan to leave here... Baimu, you’re not going to leave us behind, are you?”

Maybe the Rescue Organization’s creed was too ”advanced,” or perhaps their worldview had not fully corrected. Cheng Hong was very nervous at this moment.

Presumably, many on Cyan Iridium Street felt the same panic.

”There’s no such thing as leaving.”

Baimu turned his head and seriously said to Cheng Hong, ”We are free, and our destinies should be at our own command. What we’re doing is breaking the shackles of this Pyrite Town so everyone has the right to control their own fate.”

”But...”

”Going out to travel is to gain knowledge and increase one’s strength, not to abandon anyone. Of course, I will come back.”

He interrupted Cheng Hong, ”You guys should also go out and see, the world is very vast. You shouldn’t stay in this small place forever.”

After speaking.

Baimu slowly walked downstairs.

Leaving Cheng Hong standing there in bewilderment.
