Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The flood surged into the mountain forests outside the base, just reaching the position of the country road, and then it began to recede.

From the cameras, it could be seen that the receding floodwaters were retreating quickly.

Soon, it receded to about one-third of the distance from the national road to the Big Camphor Tree Base along the country road.

Inside the duty room.

Li Yu slowly loosened his grip on the chair, watching the cheering crowd, a smile on his face.

Immediately, he said to Li Tie, ”Tiezi, fly the drone up and take a look further away.”

Upon hearing this, Li Tie immediately got up, picked up the drone from the corner table, opened the duty room door, and placed the drone in the pouring rain.

The drone was recently fitted with a small raincoat by Li Hang over the past two days, mainly to protect some key parts from getting wet in the rain.

Buzz—

The drone quickly took off, the rain was heavy, pounding on the drone, and just then a gust of wind blew, causing the drone to shake violently, almost crashing into the wall.

Li Tie hurriedly increased the drone’s altitude.

The drone narrowly skimmed over the duty room, and watching it slowly rise, Li Tie finally breathed a sigh of relief.

As the drone ascended, the duty room gradually became smaller, and peering outside the base, Li Tie couldn’t help but gasp.

Outside the base, at the location of the country road, many zombies were slowly emerging, crawling out of the water and heading straight for the Big Camphor Tree Base.

”Brother, hurry and look, so many zombies!” Li Tie turned his head and shouted loudly to Li Yu.

Hearing this, Li Yu’s eyes narrowed, and he quickly came over.

Currently, inside the base, including both the inner and outer cities, along with cooperative personnel and outsiders who had not been sent out, there were nearly two thousand people.

This population size would inevitably attract hordes of zombies.

This flood brought zombies from the northern city down.

The zombies surged like a tide; those in the water truly resembled a tide, a dense mass.

With the flow of the floodwaters, many zombies were swept to the side of the country road. It seemed that they smelled the rich human scent from this side, so the zombies struggled against the force of the floodwater bearing them down, and instead swam toward the country road.

The flood was turbulent, pushing some zombies up and sweeping others further downstream.

Seeing this scene, Li Yu immediately ordered, ”Everyone get to the wall, keep an eye on the mobile switch blade situation. If the zombie pile in that direction exceeds ten meters in height, activate the second layer of the mobile switch blade.”

Everyone grabbed their firearms and weapons, donned their raincoats, and rushed out.

The rain poured down in torrents.

Everyone braved the rain, quickly dispersing to various positions on the wall.

........

The cliffside duty room.

Originally, this place was nearly ten meters lower than the main entrance direction, so the drainage of the Big Camphor Tree Base was directed this way.

The rainwater flowing down from the mountain forest also converged toward this place.

When the flood came, it also poured into the lake below this cliff.

The water level of the cliff-side lake rapidly surged, reaching heights of forty to fifty meters.

It inundated the edge of the lake, with the water flowing further downstream, but the downstream valley was also already flooded.

Fortunately, the drainage outlet of the Big Camphor Tree Base was still several dozen meters away from the highest water level line, and up to now, it remained safe.

However, with the torrential rain and flood, zombies appeared not only at the main entrance but in all directions along the wall.

At a height of over 7 meters on the wall, the first layer of the mobile switch blade continuously operated, creating a sharp blade light.

Constantly slicing some piled-up zombies in half.

Many zombie bodies were cut at the waist, with the upper half flying one or two meters into the air before crashing heavily down.

The other half collapsed directly in the zombie heap, quickly devoured by the other zombies.

Clang clang clang—

The sound of the mobile switch blades was loud, but not very prominent amid the downpour.

The rain poured down, drumming on the wall and raincoats; occasional flashes of lightning and thunder sounded louder than the operation of the blades.

Endless zombies came rolling in.

This was the Big Camphor Tree Base, facing the largest number of zombies ever.

Also the heaviest rainstorm.

In the torrential rain, the zombies fearlessly and rapidly piled up at double the speed of usual.

Quickly.

At the West Gate direction, Yang Tianlong, Li Zhengping, Wang Cheng, and Old Qin.

Fixated on these zombies, moving super fast in the rain, almost able to match a running adult’s speed.

As if injected with adrenaline, they were full of frenzy.

Currently, the base wall height was 28 meters.

The mobile switch blade was divided into three layers:

First layer: distributed at seven meters height, the thickness and quantity of blades were the most.

Second layer: distributed at thirteen meters height, the blade speed was the fastest, capable of quickly slicing off zombie heads.

Third layer: distributed at twenty meters height, the blades were sharp and relatively thin, the last line of defense.

The swarming zombies recklessly accumulated to a height of seven meters, then the blades were quickly engulfed.

The blades emitted a harsh friction sound, seemingly unable to bear such a heavy weight.

Crack crack crack—

Yang Tianlong hurriedly ran to the duty room, shouting to Old Qin, ”Quick, open the second layer of the mobile switch blade, quick quick quick!”

Without hesitation, Old Qin directly opened both the second and third layers of the mobile switch blade.

Buzz buzz—

On the wall.

At heights of thirteen and twenty meters, two layers of mobile switch blades extended out.

The moment the blades extended, the rain pounded on their cold, sharp edges, making a roaring sound.
