Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

”Alright, stay safe,” Li Yu said to them.

Then he watched as Old Lv and the other person entered the drainage outlet leading out of the base.

This drainage outlet isn’t very tall, only two meters in diameter.

But it’s enough for them to walk upright.

From this point, they head straight outside the base.

It’s roughly about a hundred meters from the cliff, and the two of them illuminated their way while walking forward slowly.

Suddenly.

Old Lv, who was walking in the front, kicked something and quickly stopped, pulling out a Long Knife from behind and stepping back.

Then he used the Long Knife to pick at the object.

Swish —

A pair of worn-out jeans had been buried underneath sediment.

”Why are there jeans, who throws jeans into the sewer...” Old Lv said helplessly.

Seeing this scene, Xu Zhen also said, slightly speechless, ”If everything gets tossed into the sewer, it’s bound to get clogged!”

”Let’s tell Director Li,” said Old Lv.

He then took out the walkie-talkie to inform Li Yu about this.

Li Yu was momentarily stunned after hearing the news.

He felt a bit angry, who the hell tossed it there!

He decided that once the drainage system was sorted, he must stress this issue to everyone in Inner and Outer City.

”Okay, I understood, what’s your situation there?” Li Yu asked over the walkie-talkie.

Old Lv kept walking, spotting another protruding object ahead. He flipped it open and saw a can, then walked further to see various scraps of cloth, plastic bags, and lots of trash.

”This sewer is about to turn into a garbage dump!” Old Lv said.

”Uh...” Li Yu was silent, realizing this issue needed to be addressed more seriously.

No dumping trash into the sewer! If anyone does, they must be severely punished!

Feeling fortunate, he thought that having them inspect it now was timely; otherwise, if heavy rain led to flooding, it would cause significant trouble to the base.

Xu Zhen’s face didn’t look great; last time the base’s drainage system was upgraded, but there are still so many hidden dangers.

So he took out the walkie-talkie and spoke to Li Yu, ”Director Li, I think we need to do another thing, which is to set up a garbage cleaning system with iron bars by the well, if there’s trash...”

Xu Zhen talked a lot, all relying on the city’s governance drainage system principles.

Including open trenches, underground culverts, separate rainwater and sewage systems, etc.

Li Yu pondered for a while before saying to him, ”What you mentioned can be done; the urgent task now is to solve the problem at the drainage outlet.”

Only then did Xu Zhen cease.

Old Lv continued walking forward.

Soon, he saw the light ahead.

Ten meters ahead is the cliff’s outlet.

Plop —

Old Lv accidentally stepped on something and slipped.

Ouch!

Old Lv slid, got up.

Looking at the position just now, he saw a round shell, larger than a washbasin.

Old Lv used his Long Knife to pick at it, but it didn’t move.

Hmm?

What is it?

Old Lv shone his flashlight at the object, right after.

A turtle’s head emerged.

”Whoa! So it’s you! How did you end up here?” Old Lv recognized this turtle.

During a lake salvage operation, a big turtle was retrieved, and everyone in the base knows it.

Li Yu even placed it in the cave.

During the blizzard, it wasn’t seen for a while.

Back then, people in the base searched for it for a long time but couldn’t find it, yet now it’s found in the drainage.

Turtles don’t belong to mammals and won’t get infected by the Zombie Virus.

Old Lv kicked it with his foot, smiling, ”Old guy, later we’ll carry you back. You’ve got a tough life, surviving such cold weather, impressive!”

Xu Zhen looked at the turtle, also marveling.

The two continued onward.

Soon, they reached the cliff’s edge.

At the cliff’s edge, there was a lot of accumulated garbage and sediment on the iron bars.

All these were blocked by the bars.

”Let me take some pictures,” Xu Zhen said, signaling Old Lv to step back.

Old Lv stepped back a little to give Xu Zhen some space.

Xu Zhen took out his phone, took several pictures of the iron bars, and then recorded some videos.

Since the bars are connected to the outside, the light is very bright and clear.

After the shoot, Xu Zhen took out the walkie-talkie and said to Li Yu, ”Director Li, we’ve arrived, shall we dismantle the iron bars directly? If needed, we can throw down some ropes from above, I’ll tie them and you can pull them up. Definitely can’t get through the sewer.”

Li Yu immediately replied, ”Alright, keep them; you two wait for us.”

Then he spoke to Ding Jiu, Li Tie, and a few others with Old Lv, ”We are heading to the cliff through the back door, driving a truck to pull things.”

”Got it, Director Li.” One of them responded.

”Oh, right, Tiezi, go to the warehouse, get three cameras; we need surveillance over the outlet, we haven’t placed them before.” Li Yu remembered and told Li Tie.

Li Tie nodded, saying, ”Alright, big bro, you guys go first, we’ll follow right after.”

After speaking, he took two people to look for Li Yuan.

To open the warehouse, they must find Li Yuan.

Li Yu also notified Li Yuan to fetch some cameras for them.

After everything was arranged, Li Yu led Lao Xie and several others, driving a pickup, and headed out the back.

Whenever he goes out, Li Yu always wears a Bullet-Proof Vest, even if just outside the wall.

Li Yu carried a gun, sitting in the passenger seat of the pickup.

Heading out from the back door.

Yang Tianlong from the duty room at the back door saw Li Yu and inquired.

After the pickup turned a corner and drove two hundred meters, it reached the cliff direction of the wall.

In this direction, there was also a duty room set up.

This duty room has always had a relatively good view.
