Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1750: Chapter 1751: A Hero Cuts Off His Own Arm

Ever since Chiang Qing was taken away by Gao Hongbo, Ning Ge and Jiang Dafang hadn’t seen much of each other. A year had passed, and unexpectedly, when Ning Ge saw him again, it was in the critical care unit.

Jiang Dafang was hooked up to numerous machines, with an oxygen respirator attached to his mouth. Allegedly, he hadn’t even passed the critical period yet, so he could only stay in the critical care unit.

Ning Ge’s lips pressed into a straight line.

Crying could be heard, and looking over, Ning Ge saw a heavily pregnant woman. He heard she was Jiang Dafang’s wife, with a pale face, crying sorrowfully.

Liu Cheng supported her and gave Ning Ge an apologetic glance.

Ning Ge nodded and went with him to a quiet place to talk.

Liu Cheng sat down, took out a document from his briefcase, and pushed it toward Ning Ge.

Taking a look at it, Ning Ge saw it was a share transfer document?

He looked at Liu Cheng and said, ”What does this mean?”

”It’s Dafang’s intention.” Liu Cheng looked at the share document, then at Ning Ge, and said, ”Dafang told me a long time ago that if one day he suddenly fell down and the company was struggling, I should hand this share transfer document to you.”

Ning Ge was a bit surprised. Looking at the document, it accounted for as much as seventy percent of the shares.

Closing the document, he asked, ”How did this happen to him?”

”Just returned from a business trip to Dalian for two days, he disappeared. When found, he was dumped at the hospital door, already on the brink of death, with many wounds and severe liver damage...” Liu Cheng described Jiang Dafang’s injuries, his face filled with sadness.

”Did you report it?”

”Reported.” Liu Cheng said, ”Actually, I vaguely guessed who did it, but there’s no evidence.”

Ning Ge raised his eyebrow: ”Tell me.”

”It was Jiang Conghe.” Liu Cheng whispered.

Ning Ge was taken aback again: ”Could you be mistaken?”

”No, it must be him.” Liu Cheng said through gritted teeth, ”I grew up with Dafang, I know about his matters. He sent his own father to prison, probably now Jiang Conghe wants revenge.”

”Jiang Conghe in prison!” Ning Ge said idly, a vague idea forming in his mind, waiting for Liu Cheng to reveal it.

”Indeed, he’s in prison, but his daughter isn’t. That little vixen Chiang Qing must have followed Jiang Conghe’s orders to abduct Dafang and nearly kill him. Poor Dafang, not knowing if he’ll pull through, his wife’s pregnancy is only six months!” Liu Cheng said with gritted teeth.

This aligned with what Ning Ge had been thinking. Now he understood why Chiang Qing hadn’t made a move earlier; she was waiting for this moment, and the first target she chose was Jiang Dafang!

Ning Ge touched his chin, a cold smile tugging at his lips.

Choosing the weakest with no backing like Jiang Dafang, was it to make an example? Or was it to inform them she’s back in action?

”What else has she done?” Ning Ge asked.

Liu Cheng angrily said, ”She severed our company’s transportation chain and then intends to acquire our company.”

So that’s how it is.

Did Jiang Dafang foresee such a day long ago, so he prepared this share transfer document? And instructed Liu Cheng to find him once the company faced difficulties?

Ning Ge suddenly had some admiration for Jiang Dafang, seeing how he was prepared for adversity and possessed the courage to make tough decisions; no wonder his company reached the size it has.

The initial alliance between them had somewhat to do with him, now that Jiang Dafang was suffering, morally and logically, he should offer his help.

Not to mention, he also wanted to play a little game with Chiang Qing!
