Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1734: Chapter 1735: Character Determines Destiny

The in-laws were coming to visit the sick, and as it happened, Cheng Su had a class to attend and couldn’t pick them up, so she informed her elder sister to do so and explained the reason.

Qi Fenglian was startled upon hearing the situation with the aunt, and after understanding the ins and outs, she couldn’t help but sigh, ”You tell me, what’s the point? The aunt too, the past is the past, what’s the use of holding a grudge? Now it’s come to this, and the one hurt is herself, really... sigh!”

”Who doesn’t agree? She’s the one who can’t let go, and it’s hard on herself, as well as on Weixia and the others. However you look at it, it’s a pointless thing, yet she insists on being so stubborn, and the result...” Cheng Su echoed a few comments, realizing time was short and hurried off to attend class, saying, ”I need to head to school. You can go pick up mom and dad! They’re at the city’s hospital.”

”Alright, you go ahead. I’ll visit later with your brother-in-law,” Qi Fenglian readily agreed and hung up the phone.

Back at school, Ming Xiaofan came over, carrying a lot of things in his hands, as well as some materials for Cheng Su.

Ming Xiaofan graduated from university this year; his graduation photos had been taken, and there was no longer a need to come to school until the ceremony.

He was collaborating with Cheng Su and, before leaving, he not only gave her some of his study materials but also talked about the company with her.

”The branch office in Guangcheng is all set up. I’m heading over there first, junior sister. I’ll be waiting for you in Guangcheng!” With Cheng Su’s connections, the company was developing smoothly, and thus Ming Xiaofan valued Cheng Su as a shareholder.

You know, networking is an essential elixir for doing business!

”I’m not going to help you manage the company; just make sure to pay my dividends on time,” Cheng Su said with a smile.

”Dividends will be paid, but you have to attend the shareholders’ meetings at least,” Ming Xiaofan replied with a laugh.

”Stay in touch then. You have my home number,” Cheng Su smiled mildly.

Ming Xiaofan nodded, seeing her in a low mood, he asked what was wrong and offered help.

Cheng Su smiled gratefully, ”It’s just some family stuff, nothing serious, but thank you for worrying!”

”Oh, if you need help, just let me know, we’re like family after all!” Ming Xiaofan chuckled warmly.

Cheng Su looked at him and thought fondly about how time played tricks on people. When she first met this young man, he was a bit eccentric but passionate about communication technology. With that passion, he started a company, and the business was doing better by the day.

He is cheerful, enthusiastic, and helpful. Is this divine favor for him?

Compared to some people like the aunt, like Zhang Jisheng...

Character determines destiny, perhaps this saying holds true.

What kind of character defines what achievements, what kind of life, those who are passionate, kind, and helpful never have bad luck, and those who only complain, are ambitious but refuse to repent, also have their share of bitterness.

So people, sometimes, really need to recognize their own attitude and stand firm themselves.

”Junior sister, what are you thinking about?” Ming Xiaofan called out loudly.

Cheng Su snapped back to reality, ”Ah. Nothing. What did you say?”

”I said I’m leaving, have some things to handle at the company. Call me if you need anything,” Ming Xiaofan said.

”Okay!”

Ming Xiaofan waved at her while carrying his things and left. Cheng Su watched him walk away till he was out of sight, then turned around and strolled through the campus.

Another year, and she’ll be like Ming Xiaofan, leaving with her belongings. She needs to cherish the remaining university time.
