Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1719: Chapter 1720: The Immature Third Mistress

Chiang Qing received Shen Rong’s approval and felt as joyful as a bird released from its cage. It was genuine happiness from her heart, even though she tried to hide it, but she couldn’t deceive an old hand like Shen Rong in the jianghu.

He had been in the fray since he was ten, witnessed all kinds of storms, and seen all types of women. There were many like Chiang Qing; giving her a status was out of pity for her and also out of respect for Elder Loo.

His words were actually hoping that Chiang Qing could let go, forget the past, and follow him peacefully. If she did, she absolutely wouldn’t worry for the rest of her life. Even if one day he was gone, he would arrange things for her, and neither the main wife nor the second wife would dare to touch her.

Unfortunately, she was young and impulsive, unable to understand.

What she regarded as hatred, to Shen Rong, was nothing. Winners and losers, losing is losing.

What he emphasized was, as a woman, why bother looking back at the mud pit after crawling out so arduously?

A mud pit is a mud pit, all around it is filthy slush. Walking past will only dirty your feet.

Not to mention, she was not capable enough, yet still wanted to test the waters.

Forget it, given that she is concerned about her health, he agreed to let her, and maybe she could really open up a market for the Shen Family on the mainland!

Shen Rong called Lin Biao and asked him to arrange Chiang Qing’s return to the mainland.

”Old sir, are you?” Lin Biao hesitated slightly as he spoke.

”The eldest wants to fight for this market and can’t expand his hands and feet. Make a round trip, let’s see if the Third Mistress has the ability. After all, she grew up in the Capital, she knows the people there, ears and eyes have been influenced, she probably knows from where to start.” Shen Rong said indifferently.

”Yes.”

”Find a reliable person to accompany her, guide her when necessary, don’t let her be too impulsive and do foolish things.” Shen Rong added.

Lin Biao agreed, hesitated for a moment, and cautiously asked: ”Then the Third Mistress’s actions, the bottom line...”

Shen Rong’s gaze flickered; he lightly tapped his finger on the table and said: ”As long as it doesn’t affect Shen Family’s future plans, let her make little fuss as she likes. Young people are full of fire; if they don’t release it, keeping it bottled up for long can cause problems.”

Lin Biao expressed his understanding.

Shen Rong asked him: ”What about Doctor He’s report this month?”

Lin Biao promptly handed the report to him, but Shen Rong did not take it, saying: ”You tell me.”

”All psychological indicators are quite normal. Doctor He said the Third Mistress doesn’t need regular visits; sitting down once every six months would suffice.” Lin Biao replied.

This referred to Chiang Qing’s mental illness.

Shen Rong heard this and felt a bit happy, asking: ”Is she fully recovered then?”

”I couldn’t see anything abnormal.” Except sometimes she behaves like she’s a different person.

Shen Rong felt gratified and sighed: ”In fact, leaving the place of heartbreak can make recovery faster, without exposure to stimuli. Sadly, she doesn’t understand.”

Lin Biao did not respond, only asked: ”Now that the Third Mistress is recovered, what about the medicine...”

Shen Rong pursed his lips, after a long pause said: ”She was saying yesterday she wants to give me a child, but unfortunately, she can’t conceive.” Actually, it’s not that she can’t conceive, but that they dare not let her; she originally had that illness, who knows if it might be inherited?

”What do you mean, old sir?”

”Keep using it until she lets go; then we shall see. With a child, there is a weakness. If choosing between family and her, with the child there, should I protect or not?” Shen Rong looked out the window: ”That’s why I say she’s foolish; why not live peacefully?”

”The Third Mistress is young and naive; you could just teach her more!” Lin Biao said with a smile.

Shen Rong stood up, walked to the window, and said: ”I am getting old; what can I still teach her?”
