Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1728: Chapter 1729: Defiance and Unfiliality

Big Aunt could hardly believe her ears. What was he saying, this usually timid and obedient son of hers? Saying he’ll move out?

Moving out, what does that mean? It means she would live alone, no children, no one to accompany her, living alone, maybe even dying without anyone knowing.

This Deng Weixia, how could he be so heartless?

”This is treason, you must be out of your mind. You don’t support your elder mother, that’s unfilial, I can take you to court,” Big Aunt shrieked.

”Mom, it’s not that I won’t support you, I’ll provide you with enough living expenses, just that we won’t live together,” Deng Weixia said tiredly. ”Even if you take it to court, it won’t help, no judge can resolve family matters. You and my wife don’t get along, we can only live separately!”

Big Aunt let out a sharp laugh, ”So, for the sake of your wife, you’re abandoning your mother, is that it? Ungrateful and unfilial!”

”She’s my wife, the mother of my son, I can’t ignore her,” Deng Weixia replied.

”You, you...”

”If this isn’t possible, then we’ll move further away. Anyway, now that Weiqiu is married, you have nothing to worry about, I’ll send money back regularly,” Deng Weixia struck another blow.

Big Aunt felt dizzy hearing this, a throbbing pain in her head, pointing at him, grinding her teeth, ”Deng Weixia, you’re rebellious, you...”

”Mom, you forced me to do this, you forced us,” Deng Weixia saw her pale face but steeled his heart, ”The past is in the past, with me, Wenjing, and the child like this, why can’t you just let it go? Is it that hard to accept us? Letting go of the past, wouldn’t it be good for our family to live peacefully together? Why must you always bring up the past, always holding us back? Mom, we’re human beings, not animals, we also have tempers.”

”Fine, you’ve grown wings and I’m an eyesore to you, I’ll move back to the hometown, alright!” Big Aunt said.

”If that’s what you want, I’ll go along with it!” Deng Weixia replied.

Big Aunt finally changed her expression, looking at him, trying to see something else on his face, he wasn’t serious, just saying it offhandedly.

But no, that honest and gentle face held no falsehood, everything he said was true.

”If you still want to live with us, Mom, I hope you can let go of the past. I already talked with Wenjing, she’s also going to find a job, earn money, so you don’t have to say she’s only spending without earning. As for the child, if you don’t want to take care of him, we’ll pay someone to do it,” Deng Weixia said again.

Big Aunt wobbled, nearly falling to the ground.

”Mom, think about it, whatever you decide, I’ll go with it.” Deng Weixia had already been exhausted after a day’s work, said this, and was about to go back to his room. As he passed by her, he added, ”Mom, you’ve been so rigid your whole life, wanting people to live by your rules and standards. Dad was like this, Big Brother too, and now me, but how could people all be the same? Dad and Big Brother are both gone, Mom, do you also want to push me to that point? If back then you hadn’t forced me to marry against my will, forced Wenjing to remain a widow, how would we have ever eloped? It was you who pushed us to this!”

Big Aunt’s expression changed several times, stubbornly pressing her wrinkled lips together.

”Mom, at this age, live freely, stop living by your own rules. You’ve been wrong for so many years, do you have to be wrong until death?” Deng Weixia said once more, closing the door.

Big Aunt stood in the living room, the early May wind blowing in through the window, cold like the snow in the dead of winter.
