Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Walking along the streets of Makuder, Yang Yu and his companions searched for a place to stay.

Epic equipment is not that easily crafted.

If every dwarf could casually forge epic equipment, we might be able to sell them like cabbages.

Yang Yu suddenly envied the game protagonist who could make equipment as long as they had the blueprint and materials.

If, as Brian Redbeard said, dwarves, this race, can achieve a level where as long as they have the materials, they can directly craft equipment, by honing their forging skills day after day, they should be able to do it.

Different subhumans passed by on the streets, crossing Yang Yu’s sight.

Apart from the non-human parts on their bodies, they were essentially no different.

Yang Yu could basically be certain that the various sub-human races living in this world, like this world itself, were created for some reason.

The reason for the creation of dwarves, unquestionably, was to forge equipment.

Perhaps, it was only that civilization that could provide endless supplies of advanced materials for dwarves to upgrade their forging technology.

Without the support of that civilization, the current dwarves can still forge equipment, but they can only manage a bit.

There are many things they cannot build.

Following Yang Yu, the others curiously browsed the street scenes of the Dragon God Evaluation Country.

Each area forms its own cultural characteristics due to geographical environments and other factors, and the Dragon God Evaluation Country is no exception.

It’s hard not to be captivated by the novel sights never seen before.

Iyas was also enjoying the sights, broadening her shallow knowledge.

As they walked, Iyas noticed a long-haired girl, wearing a blue checkered robe, haggling with a shop owner.

Iyas remembered that she had met the girl once at the Martial Arts Hall.

”Alone like this... didn’t she come with anyone else?”

As Iyas thought this, the girl finished her purchase and disappeared into the crowd.

Soon after, Yang Yu and his group met a man with a cowboy hat and a goatee.

Artie Roosevelt, adjusting his cowboy hat, smiled and said:

”It was hard to find you.

Mr. Yang Yu, could I take some of your time?

I’ve wanted to interview you for a long time.

It’s about time to prepare for this year’s [Adventurer’s Peak].

Let me collect and publicize the exclusive news about the newly emerged S-Class adventure group.”

Yang Yu paused with the team without refusing,

”Coincidentally, I also have some questions for Mr. Artie. Since Mr. Artie spends most of his time outside the All Things Library, you must know quite a bit. If you can agree to my request, I’ll accept your interview.”

Artie Roosevelt laughed: ”Is that supposed to be mutual benefit? You really are an adventurer at heart. Not bad, I agree.”

After a simple conversation, Yang Yu and his team decided to head to the inn for All Things Library members to finish their discussion.

Even though they were just hitching a ride and not official members of the All Things Library, Yang Yu believed that if something happened, the two elders of the All Things Library wouldn’t just sit by.

Staying with them would be the safest choice.

Arriving at the inn near the Martial Arts Hall, they completed their check-in, collected room keys, and settled their luggage; everyone gathered in Yang Yu’s room.

As soon as Bai Jin set up a sound-isolating barrier, Yang Yu eagerly began to gather information.

The first thing he asked about was the current situation of other S-Class adventure groups.

The current situation of other S-Class adventure groups was no secret. Artie Roosevelt had already interviewed several S-Class adventure groups before arriving at Makuder and had almost completely revealed their information.

When Yang Yu asked how many keys they currently had, Artie Roosevelt smiled.

”It seems that in the underground maze you strategized, there’s also Hero Lox’s underground maze. How many keys do you have in your hand?”

Yang Yu resolutely said, ”One.”

Artie Roosevelt raised a doubt: ”But I heard you’ve strategized three super large mazes. The recent super large mazes are mainly Lox’s underground mazes, which should be a sign of the Demon King’s imminent appearance.”

”But there are exceptions, aren’t there? For example, not all underground mazes need to be overcome by force? I was just lucky to strategize two that didn’t require much force.” Even though he had four keys in hand, Yang Yu remained calm, sticking to one.

”Is that so?” Artie Roosevelt scribbled in his notebook, ”Let’s just say it is!

What I can tell you is, definitely, [Red Blood Rose] has one key, [Divine Dragon’s Might] has three keys, [Sky-breaking Stone] has two keys, and [Corpse Collection Coffin] also has one key...

The current numbers of other teams remain unknown.

More and more S-Class adventure groups want Lox’s maze keys, even offering legendary-level equipment in exchange.

If you lack suitable equipment, you can use your key to exchange with them.

As I know, [Divine Dragon’s Might] has a legendary level shield.

Their main activities are on this city’s east side of the arena, near Panlong Peak.

With that shield, the upcoming Dragon God Conference will become easier.”

”Thank you for providing this information, but I have my own ideas as well.

This key, who knows what kind of door it will unlock.

It’s interesting, so I’m going to hold onto it.”

”Well, it’s your item... do as you please. Next question.”

Then Yang Yu asked Artie Roosevelt about the Curse Sect.

The Curse Sect’s movements are very mysterious. In the past, when Artie Roosevelt was interviewing [Corpse Collection Coffin], he also took a request to investigate the Curse Sect.

Yet, after so many years, aside from the well-known murder of the Holy Maiden and some trivial matters, Artie Roosevelt hasn’t gathered more explosive information.

Unless the Curse Sect makes large-scale movements, it’s hard to catch them slipping.

However, that day shouldn’t be too far off.

Artie Roosevelt’s journalist instinct tells him that this is just the calm before the storm.

Again unable to find information on the Curse Sect, Yang Yu shifted his mindset and asked if there had been any strange events on the continent recently.

Once this topic came up, Artie Roosevelt immediately perked up.

He won’t stop talking about why uninhabited houses make strange noises or why magic lamps flicker inexplicably; every headline is filled with a rich taste of stepping into the realm of science.

Among these complex pieces of information, there isn’t entirely a lack of suspicious intel either.

”There’s one thing that must be mentioned.

In the Ocean Duchy in the southern part of the continent, there seems to be a Sea God’s Fury, which has disturbed the sea currents.

Based on past experience, before long, various sea-dwelling species will fiercely contest each other over the food shortages brought on by the changes in sea currents.

By then, the Ocean Duchy will become quite dangerous.”
