Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The Light Arrow hit Rodriza, and Iyas did not feel any pride, drawing the bowstring again, aiming at the airborne Rodriza.

Iyas didn’t know Storage Magic, so to bring the bow to the party, she had entrusted Bai Jin to draw a Storage Magic Array for her.

At a critical moment, she only needed to inject a little magic power into the Storage Magic Array to retrieve the longbow.

Iyas’s vision surpassed that of ordinary people, and upon noticing something unusual, she scanned the surroundings immediately.

Seeing Yang Yu battling with the Enchanting Demon, Iyas, with Bai Jin’s help, promptly took out the longbow, tore her cumbersome gown, and rushed to the scene of the fight.

Once within range, Iyas unreservedly shot a Light Arrow at Rodriza, striking her before she could cast her second spell.

”An attack that can penetrate a shield, this Holy Light is too powerful... After that day, it should have been clear... This woman is also a formidable foe.

Yang Yu is the ringleader, they’re all accomplices.”

Several Light Arrows flew in, causing Rodriza to temporarily cease chanting the Attack Magic, switching to Acceleration Magic, dodging Iyas’s arrows.

Iyas had already taken action, so why would Bai Jin stand there doing nothing?

Flying low and getting closer, Bai Jin arrived within effective range, aimed her Magic Wand at Rodriza, as if releasing all her suppressed emotions, ice arrows poured out from the magic array.

The ice arrows fired by Bai Jin were incredibly dense.

Even though Rodriza used Acceleration Magic to dodge several ice arrows, still, a few managed to graze her shield. After just three or four hits, the waves of ice arrows smashed Rodriza’s shield into pieces.

”She’s the magician in Yang Yu’s team... I didn’t expect her to be so troublesome. And that Slime, they’re all exceptional.”

Seeing the surrounding magic fluctuations grow stronger and more frequent, Rodriza knew she couldn’t keep fighting blindly.

In this country, the Enchanting Demon disrupts politics and sways minds; everyone wants to eliminate them instantly.

With no opportunity to attack, staying would only lead to a dead end. Rodriza flapped her wings, flying towards the nearby black tunnel.

Realizing Rodriza’s intent, Bai Jin aimed her magic at the tunnel.

But before Bai Jin’s ice arrows could reach the tunnel, a large black hand suddenly stretched out, grabbing Rodriza and forcibly dragging her into the tunnel.

Bai Jin’s ice arrows and Iyas’s Light Arrows hit the black arm as if striking an indestructible wall, shattering upon impact.

The other mages, who arrived late, each cast spells at the black hand.

Unfortunately, the black hand retracted suddenly, carrying Rodriza away, disappearing completely into the sky, where countless spells collided in the empty air, turning into splendid fireworks.

Crawling out of the basement and climbing walls, Yang Yu witnessed the entire disappearance of the black hand.

Staring at the spot where the black arm vanished, Yang Yu remained silent.

Before the tunnel fully disappeared, Yang Yu saw within the black cave a pair of blood-red eyes, a tall figure sitting on a throne, holding a goblet filled with crimson liquid.

Beside him, a few figures could be vaguely seen, their outlines revealed by bright sunlight through the window, featuring bird feathers, bird claws, sharp horns, massive arms, and sharp scales...

Apart from these demon-like figures, Yang Yu also saw a kind of mixed magic beast he was extremely familiar with—the Steel Dragon Wolf.

However, this Steel Dragon Wolf was entirely different from the ones Yang Yu had seen before; it was dyed a bright green, lying extraordinarily tamely on the ground.

Before the tunnel completely closed, those blood-red eyes were continuously fixed on Yang Yu.

That gaze left a lingering impact on Yang Yu.

Luckily, when Yang Yu attacked, he didn’t choose to approach the eerie black hole near Rodriza; instead, he focused on attacking something closer.

Otherwise, he would have surely been caught by that giant hand and sent to an unknown place, ultimately being ganged up on by various powerful figures.

After this incident, Yang Yu’s inner resolve became even stronger.

”Creak, creak,” the System’s electronic notification sounded in Yang Yu’s ear:

[You have collected enough clues, clue progress (100/100), Task can be unlocked.]

Letting He Meng slip from his hand and climb onto his shoulder, Yang Yu manipulated the panel and chose to unlock the task.

Suddenly, the specially framed task showed signs of shattering, and a blinding golden light flashed before Yang Yu’s eyes, rendering the special frame task anew.

The questions marks were replaced by characters one by one, and Yang Yu finally knew what the task full of question marks contained.

[Ultimate Quest to Conquer the Demon King Four Heavenly Kings part one

Task Requirements: Find and defeat Gula Bolai, the ”Count Blood,” who leads the Demon King’s Vanguard.

Task Rewards: Experience+500W, Gold Coin+500W, free attribute points+1000, Skill Points+1000, draw chances+99 (guaranteed Legendary Equipment)]

The splendid task panel contained just a few lines.

Yet Yang Yu could feel the weight of this task.

Generous rewards represent the task’s difficulty, especially such an unmistakably end-game task.

This world is real and not just a game.

Generally, in an RPG, considering the difficulty, the first of the Four Heavenly Kings to appear is usually weaker, and after being defeated by the protagonist, often exclaims: ”Don’t get cocky, I’m just the weakest of the Four Heavenly Kings, the others far exceed your imagination, you absolutely cannot defeat them” with this trope of overconfidence curse.

”Exactly, the trash mobs that appear late-game in the Demon King City are dozens or hundreds of times stronger than you, I almost suspect how you even became one of the Demon King’s Four Heavenly Kings, is it favoritism? Or do you have some unspeakable secret with the Demon King? Stop exaggerating, the other Heavenly Kings will soon join you...”

When playing such an RPG, Yang Yu often wanted to comment like this.

The Demon King’s Four Heavenly Kings in this world are not as simple as imagined.

In this world, each of the Four Heavenly Kings should have a power able to rival each other.

Even if there are differences, they are not significant.

Now, with my level barely over one hundred fifty, my attributes can rival those of hundred-level geniuses, but dealing with the Four Heavenly Kings is still challenging.

Opening and reviewing the incomplete tasks, Yang Yu needs more free attribute points and Skill Points to ensure his survival.

Not being instantly defeated gives him a chance to find a strategy.

He Meng, perched on Yang Yu’s shoulder watching for a long time, didn’t know what Yang Yu was looking at, suppressing a belly full of frustration.

She really wanted to tell Yang Yu how much pain she just endured, thinking she’d really been torn in two, but seeing Yang Yu seemingly deep in thought, she swallowed all her words back down.
