Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Seeing Yang Yu block the attack, Beelzebub laughed menacingly:

”Interesting, very interesting. I never expected you could do such a thing. How about this move?”

Spreading its wings, an eerie black demonic wind arose from beneath Beelzebub, spreading all around like a normal breeze.

Though feeling no pain, Yang Yu sensed that something was siphoning his Strength away from his body.

A glance at the panel showed no abnormalities in Yang Yu’s Status Bar, yet a fifth of his Blood Bar disappeared into thin air.

Bai Jin’s Blood Volume was immediately halved, and Lotcar’s dropped by a third.

This move could silently drain the life of a person, a village, even a city...

The situation was unprecedentedly severe, and Yang Yu tossed a few Potions to Lotcar,

”Lotcar, take Bai Jin and leave first.”

Clutching the thrown bottle in his mouth, Lotcar didn’t hesitate, lifting Bai Jin and sprinting down the ridge.

With its wings flapping as it landed in the volcano’s crater, Beelzebub’s eerie eyes stared fixedly at Yang Yu:

”At your age, able to withstand my Death Wind.

It can be confirmed.

Naive, so naive.

No matter which side, they are all extremely naive.

If I hadn’t met you here, I would have loved to observe all this from the VIP seats.

Since I’ve encountered you, as expected, I must kill you!

I will keep your soul and torment you to my heart’s content.

Don’t think splitting up will spare your companions from Death.

My second favorite thing is hunting prey.

I love watching them panic, helpless and frantic.

Let you see your companions die in front of you!”

”You talk too much, if you want to kill me, then show me your so-called true skill.”

Drawing his Sword Blade, a black shadow wrapped around it, and in the next instant, Yang Yu appeared before Beelzebub.

Reaching with its claws, Beelzebub’s sharp fingertips pinched towards the black-tailed Sword Blade.

Yang Yu shifted to the right, and the sword blade mysteriously slid out from between Beelzebub’s claws, slashing onto the outer side of Beelzebub’s right thigh.

Indifferent to pain, a purple Array spread rapidly outward from Beelzebub’s feet, creating a large slow-field area.

The sword blade’s orange glow flashed, as Yang Yu simultaneously activated [Copper Wall Iron Curtain] and [Steel Body], then executed a Double-sided Slash on the demon’s thighs.

”Don’t get carried away with pride!”

Releasing Magic Power, Beelzebub instantly repelled Yang Yu.

Within the purple Array, several little ghosts surged forth, clawing towards Yang Yu from all directions.

Yang Yu knew Beelzebub had also released [Ghost Shadow Formation], but unlike Bai Jin’s [Ghost Shadow Formation], Beelzebub summoned real little ghosts with Blood Volume and attributes.

A [Frustration Roar] reduced the attacking ghosts’ strength, and Yang Yu drew his sword for a [Horizontal Slash], knocking down several incoming ghosts in a row.

Beelzebub gathered a dense black energy ball in its palm and hurled it into the ridge, from which black Spikes emerged indiscriminately, from underground, piercing enemies and allies alike.

The ghosts surrounding Yang Yu were instantly pierced. The skewered ghosts howled, trying to drag their broken bodies towards Yang Yu, only to be pierced again by new black Spikes.

Hoisting his Shield, Yang Yu activated [Red Blood Path] against the oncoming Spikes, like a bullet charging toward Beelzebub, carving a path.

Beelzebub smirked, waving its black claws, striking towards Yang Yu, who intercepted it with [Shield Block].

Clutching her head, Bai Jin climbed down from Lotcar’s back and saw Yang Yu battling Beelzebub.

Just as she was about to wield her Magic Wand Sigh Seed to aid Yang Yu from afar, a jolt of electricity shot through Bai Jin’s mind, causing her to clutch her head in pain.

A new scene began to play before Bai Jin’s eyes.

Her long-deceased father appeared once more.

Her father’s voice resonated in Bai Jin’s ear once more:

”Bai Jin, if you’re seeing this image, it means I have already died.

Please forgive me for never being a competent teacher or father.

If you recall this memory, it means there’s been a complication with the destruction of the [Abyss Gate].

If all had gone well, these memories shouldn’t have appeared before you.

I guess destroying the [Abyss Gate] requires significant energy, as does opening the [Abyss Gate].

When destroying the [Abyss Gate], a Demon might escape.

The Demon’s incredibly powerful and cunning, but it’s not impossible to deal with it.

Bai Jin, do you remember the Magic Wand I gave you?

I modified that Magic Wand, which holds the power to seal a Demon.

Use it to capture the Demon, then hand it over to someone powerful in Holy Light for purification.

Let me teach you now how to use that Wand!”

Bai Jin’s vision reconnected with the outside world, and she saw Yang Yu fiercely battling Beelzebub.

Yang Yu exerted every ounce of his strength to withstand the Demon’s attacks and counterattack, but because the Demon wielded skills Yang Yu had never seen, he often found himself at a disadvantage in several attacks, accumulating more and more scars.

Suddenly, a red light flashed over Yang Yu, and he moved like lightning, his Sword Blade dancing across Beelzebub.

But Yang Yu ultimately was a warrior specialized in Defense, even under the [Fury Blood]’s influence, as the real damage maxed out, facing the half-million-Blood Volume BOSS was still a strength beyond his reach.

Bai Jin gave a gentle pat on Lotcar’s back and used Telepathy in Lotcar’s mind:

”Lotcar, get closer to that demon. That demon isn’t easily dealt with, I have a way to seal it.”

Swatting the potion in his mouth, looking back at the potion bottle safely in Bai Jin’s hand, Lotcar paused briefly:

”How certain are you? I need to ensure your safety, you mustn’t act recklessly.”

”This isn’t reckless.

The Demon’s appearance was within my father’s expectations.

Trust me, get a bit closer.”

Bai Jin’s words were filled with resolve, and Lotcar no longer doubted, turning to climb the ridge.

Drinking a bottle of Potion, Bai Jin took out the Magic Wand her father left her. Following her father’s teachings, she intermittently infused her Magic Power into the wand in a specific pattern.

The front of the smooth Wand quickly manifested three different-sized Magic Arrays, with patterns on the Arrays that Bai Jin had never before seen.

These three Magic Arrays seemed to drain all of Bai Jin’s Magic Power, greedily sucking the Magic Power out of Bai Jin’s body.

Bai Jin struggled to maintain her consciousness, controlling two of the Magic Arrays to fly towards Beelzebub.

Beelzebub and Yang Yu were locked in fierce battle, each using endless Skills, too engrossed to notice two Magic Arrays rapidly expanding above it.

When the Magic Arrays ceased expanding, it was as though smoke bombs were tossed along the edges of the Arrays, drawing white threads to form a giant Bird Cage over the volcanic crater.
