Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

I never expected our research to hit another bottleneck.

Numerous plants have gradually been harnessed by magic power, but animals still find it difficult to absorb the magic power of those special plants.

This magic power only accumulates in the animals’ bodies, ultimately leading to various complications.

The laboratory has tried countless organisms, but in the end, they still couldn’t escape the torment of various complications and died untimely deaths.

Plants and animals are vastly different.

We once spliced genes, but it only gave the original organisms the ability to synthesize fibers and proteins, they still had no way to utilize the magic power accumulated in their bodies.

Utilizing magic power on a biological level is a long and arduous journey.

Out of respect for doctrine, our civilization has lagged behind in the field of biotechnology.

Even though recent years have seen rapid development, it’s hard to achieve a breakthrough in the short term.

We still need a large number of samples and countless trial and error.

Fortunately, a laboratory has already adjusted to a program that can use magic power to carry out precise strikes.

I went to the site and I can assert that ’magic’ has already been born.

At the time, the plan that some thought was nonsense might actually come true.

Today is a new year, and there’s also some exciting good news.

Laboratory number 71245 did it, they improved the method and mastered the technology to allow magic power to be aggregated for a long time.

Virtual is reality, and reality is also virtual.

A plan regarding the use of this technology has now been drafted.

With this technology, our soldiers can first implant combat memories using virtual technology, then use Potions to enhance muscles, and finally use this technology for coordination and management of the body.

Someone suggested naming the technology ”Maze Creation Technology”.

When I was young, I played an ancient RPG game that seemed to have a similar setting.

Unexpectedly, there are also fellow enthusiasts in the laboratory.

I casually suggested, ’Since we are training soldiers, how about using a feedback mechanism to reward them after defeating the enemy?’ It was adopted.

Killing monsters and getting equipment, it really is like a maze.

I wonder what the first batch of test-training soldiers will think when they see this design.

The application of magic power on biological levels has encountered various obstacles, and I don’t know who exposed our plan to the public.

The public is extremely opposed to this plan.

They believe our actions violate the doctrines of the Luka Sect.

They know nothing about the doctrines of the Luka Sect! Ultimately, it’s just superficial.

The first tenet of life is survival, civilization is just a means for life to continue surviving!

Letting civilization bloom beautifully is just to allow life to continue better.

The reason our plan initially received so much support was based on this consensus.

We chose to do this entirely to escape shackles, so that our civilization can continue to flourish, allowing humans to survive better in this world.

If only I could explain clearly to the public, I thought they’d definitely understand, but...

Why did things turn out like this!

Could someone be inciting them from behind?

Hmm, perhaps.

It’s necessary to investigate.

The application of magic power on biological levels remains stagnant, with demonstrations becoming more intense.

We held regular meetings.

In the meeting, a bold and peculiar plan, proposed by someone specializing in bacterial magic research...”

Dark Cloud’s voice suddenly stopped, the words on the page came to an end.

Cut off at a critical moment, Yang Yu felt terrible.

It’s like being stuck in a niche game’s bottleneck, going online to find a strategy, finally finding one, and being redirected to some shady websites on the second page.

What Dark Cloud had were already disjointed pages, and now Yang Yu couldn’t find the next page.

These pages were indeed diary-like, but not like a daily journal, only recording significant events.

This means the information on these pages is extremely dense.

To fully decipher, one must collect all the pages; otherwise, understanding only one or two pages would be half-baked, making one itch from curiosity.

Dark Cloud pushed the pages back to Yang Yu: ”I have fully decoded them, even capturing some of the author’s emotions. I’ve been so diligent, can you let me go now?”

Though wanting Dark Cloud to decode all the pages, Dark Cloud’s attitude was very clear just now, Yang Yu decided to seize the moment and replied:

”Please go ahead.”

Dark Cloud took a step, countless black shadows gathered in front of Dark Cloud, forming a black pool.

Dark Cloud jumped into the black pool like a diver, disappearing without a trace.

Soon after, the black shadows on the ground turned into a black spot, as if they had never appeared there, vanishing completely.

Putting away the pages, Yang Yu looked back at his companions.

This little interlude did not change what they were set to do.

After handing over the promised items to Lutte Ais, Yang Yu and his party mounted Lotcar again, heading towards other ruins.

Meanwhile.

The Luo Ze Empire’s Biological Research Institute was loading instruments and cultivated items onto carts in preparation for transport to the coast.

The laboratory has become desolate, with nearly three-quarters of equipment removed, Deputy Director Song Wu, with a hunched back, lamented, repeatedly sighing as he looked at the special notice in his hands.

With the war over, the research here was deemed merely a waste of funds.

The higher-ups decided to hand over some of the research here to another country where ruins were discovered.

The Luo Ze Empire could share results while alleviating domestic expenses.

Hunched Deputy Director Song Wu looked at a somewhat alluring woman in the distance, his heart filled with an indescribable sadness:

”Is there really no room for recovery? We have more extensive experience, keeping those things here is surely better than giving them to those outsiders...”

The woman turned around, gazing at Song Wu, and smiled slightly: ”This is the decision of the higher-ups, I can’t do anything about it either.

I tried to fight for it, but in the end, the empire only allowed me to go.”

Song Wu’s shoulders drooped, helplessly saying: ”Then..... there’s nothing that can be done.”

”I’ll be leaving soon. This place is in your hands.”

For some reason, whenever Song Wu looked into the woman’s red eyes, his mind went blank, as if he had forgotten something important, leaving him dumbstruck.

After a while, Song Wu sighed again, taking the document in his hand toward the incinerator,

”Since that’s the case, there’s nothing that can be done.

I’ll ensure this place is handled properly...

I will take care of it.

Just a pity for that person who was supposed to visit.”
