Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 394: Chapter 394: Let Go of That Girl

Iyas’s attack unintentionally hit them, the discontent of the Underground Bounty Hunters became evident on the surface as they picked up their weapons, each looking fierce and menacing.

Lund simply swayed his neck from side to side, briefly warming up his shoulders, all the while continuing his approach toward Iyas and casually warned,

”If you don’t want to get hurt, back off.”

The Bounty Hunters had wanted to say something, but upon seeing Lund’s invincible silhouette, they could only temporarily move aside.

”I didn’t expect you to come up with such a trick under those circumstances, I admit I underestimated you a bit.

But I won’t make the same mistake again, I will completely train you, make you forget all your little cleverness, leaving only obedience to your master in your mind.”

Before his words faded, Lund threw the Meteor Hammer, and Iyas rolled backward, avoiding the attack.

Seeing Iyas still manage to dodge his attack, Lund didn’t hesitate and threw the Meteor Hammer again, Iyas tried to stand and dodge, but a sharp pain from her injured leg slowed her movement.

The Meteor Hammer hit her abdomen hard, and a mouthful of fresh blood spilled from Iyas’s mouth as her legs weakened and she knelt on the ground, her vision gradually blurring. Iyas clutched her belly while warm blood flowed over her palms and dripped onto the ground.

Iyas tried to stand, but the intense pain in her ankle and abdomen forced her back onto her knees.

Her efforts only caused her more pain.

What made it even harder for Iyas to accept was that her long struggle was so easily shattered by a single hammer blow.

Lund retrieved his Meteor Hammer and approached Iyas, grabbing her hair to force her to lift her head,

”What I want to see is this expression of yours, that, no matter how hard you struggle, you can’t change the outcome.

Tell me, what are you feeling now?

I want to know how it feels to have your illusions shattered!”

Iyas’s vision became blurred, her Silver Teeth clenched tight, not uttering a word.

”What’s wrong, speak up! Weren’t you quite the force to be reckoned with just a moment ago?

Speak to me, you’re about to undergo my intense guidance, and if you beg for mercy now, maybe I’ll become a gentle and kind teacher.”

Iyas gripped her wound tightly, still saying nothing, knowing that her opponent would not let her go, that speaking was useless.

”Why the reluctant face?”

Lund’s tone was extremely cold as he pressed her head to the ground, holding onto her hair,

”Apologize to me, for the offense of hurting me without permission!

If you do that, maybe I won’t treat you so roughly.

Or are you saying you can’t even do something as simple as apologize?”

A chill ran through the Underground Bounty Hunters witnessing the scene, the oppressive aura exuding from Lund made everyone present’s blood run cold, with some even feeling the urge to kneel and apologize.

Lund’s ”education” had already begun.

He was most adept at subjecting Slaves to both verbal and physical torture, breaking down their strong spirits, turning them into obsequious ”good little ones.”

Slaves like Iyas, who dared to raise a hand against their instructor, were already on his blacklist, destined for harsher discipline.

”Why aren’t you speaking, what are you expecting?

No one will come, neither your family, friends, nor allies.

Even if they did, what could they do? They would end up just like you.

It’s time you faced reality, all this struggling, this fierce refusal to bow, what will it get you?

Nothing but pain!

Wouldn’t it be better to submit to me early? As long as you learn what I teach you, I guarantee you’ll live better than before.”

”Apologize to me,” ”for harming me.”

”Apologizing for your own wrongdoings, that’s the first lesson I’m teaching you.”

Her forehead was pressed tight against the floor, the cold penetrating deep into her bones, not even the blood spilling from her abdomen could warm the chill.

Iyas’s vision, for some reason, had grown increasingly blurry.

Right, no one’s going to save me now.

No matter how much I regret, it won’t do any good. I’m no longer part of their team, even if I cling to life, they definitely won’t come to my rescue.

All of this is my own doing.

”Drip—”

Iyas saw a droplet of water create a splash on the ground. Only now did she realize that it wasn’t something else making her vision blur; it was her own tears.

I want to be saved.

I don’t want it to end here.

I want to rescue Hake, I want to travel with them...

One thought after another surged forward and the more she became aware of these realizations, the more Iyas couldn’t stop the tears, but...

She had already thrown away all her happiness with her own hands.

The wound in her abdomen continued to bleed, but Iyas noticed her blood wasn’t warm like before but was gradually getting colder. Her body’s temperature also dropped steadily, as if the Death God was stealthily approaching from behind.

This time it really looks like... I’m out of options...

”I say, do you guys feel a bit cold?”

”Now that you mention it, it does feel a bit chilly.”

The Underground Bounty Hunters, watching Lund press Iyas to the ground, had strange expressions on their faces, looking at each other, some even crossing their arms and rubbing their shoulders to alleviate the sudden chilliness.

”Though the sewer gets a bit cold at night, isn’t this a little too much?”

Every Underground Bounty Hunter thought this, when suddenly, the flames on their torches flickered violently.

”A draft? How odd, there shouldn’t be such strong winds in the sewer.”

Feeling perplexed, the Underground Bounty Hunters hadn’t had the chance to discuss the reason when an even stronger gust of wind blew through the sewer pipes, ”whoosh—” extinguishing their torches in an instant.

Following closely, the piercing cold wind hit them in the face, and the ice and snow, like Sharp blades, slashed across the bodies of the Bounty Hunters, freezing the dirty wastewater at an incredible Speed.

”What in the world is going on?”

”An attack! An attack!”

Their bodies injured to various extents, all Underground Bounty Hunters drew their weapons instinctively, holding their breath.

The intense Blizzard abruptly halted, sweeping a white path through the dirty sewer, as the white chill began to spread unchecked through the pipes.

Suddenly, within the empty tunnel, resonated a set of clear footsteps.

With the crisp sound of footsteps drawing closer, the echo in the tunnel deepened as well.

An Underground Bounty Hunter used Magic to relight the extinguished torch, cautiously lifting it higher.

All eyes turned to the middle of the pipe, only to see a figure holding a Shield in their right hand, taking firm steps through the white cold.

The flickering torchlight illuminated the man’s somewhat youthful cheeks and the confident smile that was impressively memorable.

The man stopped in front of them, drawing the sword from his waist, and with a Taunting look in his eyes, addressed all the Bounty Hunters present,

”Let the girl go, if you dare, come at me.”
