Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 360: Chapter 360: I Will Teach Personally

After a prolonged battle, Yang Yu put the perfect full stop to it.

Aside from some minor injuries, there were no casualties.

Unable to suppress the gratitude in his heart, Sekamens reached out both hands and grabbed Yang Yu’s solid palms,

”Thank you for your help. Without you, we would surely have become that spider’s meal, and on behalf of my team, I express our sincerest thanks to you.”

”Hold your thanks for now.”

Making a stopping gesture, Yang Yu pulled his hands from Sekamens’s,

”I’ll be straightforward, I came here for you guys. Since I didn’t mind the trouble and wasn’t afraid of the risk to save your lives, you’ll have to work hard for me.”

A smile with a hint of helplessness appeared on Sekamens’s face, ”As always, a straightforward guy, but I don’t dislike such people.

Tell me, what exactly do you need?

Though I don’t know if we can be of much help, my team and I will certainly try our best to assist you.”

”I quite like you too,” Yang Yu said with a smile, ”Don’t worry, what I’m going to ask of you isn’t combat-related. Even if your strength is not up to par, it won’t be a problem...”

”Cough cough... cough cough...” Sekamens coughed a few times.

Those words were too blunt. Even if they were the harsh truth, you shouldn’t say them to someone’s face.

But Yang Yu just chuckled mischievously, ”I’m just joking, don’t take it to heart.

If I need to ask you for a favor, I’ll ask seriously.

Right now, no joking, otherwise you might refuse my payment with ’you saved our lives, no reward necessary.’

This job is very dangerous, but if you can complete it, I won’t let you be at a loss.”

Shrugging his shoulders, Yang Yu took out some ingredients from the System,

”First...

You’ve been trapped here so long, you haven’t had a good meal in a while, let’s rest for a bit and talk over a meal. I’ll tell you all the ins and outs of everything.”

Sekamens glanced at the tired Rococo and the other two dispirited teammates and agreed to Yang Yu’s proposal. Together, they started cooking hot pot in the Underground Maze.

Without any delay, Yang Yu shared the reason he sought them out with Sekamens.

However, Yang Yu replaced Iyas’s name with that of an elf girl and only told half the story.

Each sentence was correct, and strung together they were even more poignant and stirring, nothing like a naive country girl’s simple story of coming to the city to find her brother.

Even Iyas was deeply moved when she heard it, swearing to help the elf girl with a similar plight and to rescue her brother, completely oblivious that Yang Yu was talking about her.

Iyas even wanted to ask Yang Yu if he had encountered anyone from her village elsewhere.

It wasn’t until Yang Yu described Hake exactly as Iyas had that she finally realized, damn, Yang Yu was talking about her! Was there really a need to make it sound so tragic?

”What you need to do is to pretend to be a noble playboy with special quirks who came from nowhere.”

”I see. I am willing to do it.”

Sekamens placed his hand on his chin, and without much hesitation, agreed to Yang Yu’s request,

”But why don’t you do it yourselves? Since you already have the information, you shouldn’t need us to complete the task given by that elf girl.”

”It’s not that we don’t want to do it, it’s that we can’t do it anymore. That’s why we came to you for help, given the dangers involved.”

Yang Yu sighed,

”Everyone comes from the Tren Republic. I don’t know if you’re aware of the recent collapse of the Silver Orchid Commerce, and their settling in Serti?”

Qi interrupted, ”Of course, we know. It was a top commerce association in the country, and just like that, it collapsed. Anyone would be interested in the reasons behind it. Yang Yu, bro, from your tone, it seems you are somewhat involved in this, right?”

Yang Yu did not intend to hide anything; the person across was a trustworthy partner. Hiding information would only create barriers between them and lead to the abandonment of the task to rescue Iyas’s brother.

Thus, Yang Yu disclosed how he had been entrusted by the president of the Giant Umbrella Chamber of Commerce to infiltrate the Silver Orchid Commerce.

In doing so, Yang Yu omitted some unimportant details.

For example, Yang Yu did not mention how he had taken all the Revive Elixirs or the fact that Iyas was treated as raw material.

”In short, because of the great disturbances I caused at the research institute, I indirectly led to the dissolution of the Silver Orchid Commerce. I have become their archenemy. They are willing to pay a hefty price to collaborate with the Sunrise Chamber of Commerce, specifically to eliminate me completely.

If you take on this task, you might also become my accomplices. By then, you will definitely be targeted by that commerce association.

The dangers of this commission are self-evident.

That’s why I promised earlier that I would compensate you adequately for this risky job.”

There was almost no hesitation as Sekamens said,

”Then let me look forward to it.”

Seeing Sekamens’s kind smile, Yang Yu knew this matter was settled.

The rest was to steer the conversation toward the door behind them and naturally take out the gemstone to open the door and retrieve the treasure inside.

Just as Yang Yu was brewing this plan, Sekamens hesitantly voiced his question,

”However, you mentioned needing me to impersonate a young noble with a ’special’ penchant. What exactly do you mean by ’special’?”

The room suddenly fell into silence, dead quiet.

Hmm?

Hmm...

Did I put it too subtly, and Sekamens didn’t catch my drift?

Or should I say, is Sekamens quite naive about these matters?

Yet, such topics are not to be discussed openly.

The atmosphere gradually became awkward; finally, Qi couldn’t restrain himself and stood up,

”Captain, you don’t know about this kind of thing? Yang Yu, bro, what he means is...”

Before Qi could finish, Yang Yu interrupted him. This commission was their team’s; if there were misunderstandings, it was better for him, the captain, to explain.

Yang Yu wasn’t sure about Sekamens’s acting skills; there was a need to confirm and coach him. As for the sensitive topic, it was better discussed in private later,

”Don’t worry, about this matter, I will personally teach him later.”

However, as soon as Yang Yu said this, the room once again fell into a different kind of silence.

Qi and Iron Wall looked incredulously at Yang Yu. Rococo covered her mouth in surprise, Iya’s eyes filled with wariness, and Bai Jin’s eyes on Sekamens seemed to carry a hint of hostility.
