The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1494: Chapter 1494: My Younger Sister Is in the Pharmaceutical Association

Ellen Quarles watched the backs of the two, unable to calm down for a long time. She withdrew her gaze and looked at the mother and daughter of the Zachmann Family. Both of their faces were pale, but she found a bit of balance in her heart, relaxed her brows, and said to the two: ”Let’s go back and talk first.”

Caryn Zachmann was still unable to recover from the shock of encountering Nathalie Quinlan at the Pharmaceutical Association in the U.S., nodding absentmindedly with a confused heart.

Celine Tucker, thinking of something, tightly gripped the handle of her purse, her eyes showing a hint of fierceness!

”Your godmother is right. Let’s go back first.”

”Hmm, okay.”

The three came to the Pharmaceutical Association in high spirits, yet left somewhat embarrassed.

Two hours later, Nathalie Quinlan obtained the urgent medication needed by Owen Yapiter and returned to the hotel.

She first contacted Evron Barness, called him, and informed him that she had already obtained the CD-3 targeted drug from the Pharmaceutical Association.

If all goes well tomorrow, she would land at Capital International Airport in the evening. After arriving in Beijing, she would immediately head to McKinney.

After finishing the call, Nathalie put the medicine Caleb Dax gave her into her single shoulder bag, zipped it up, and picked up her phone to check the messages.

Amadeus Yancey hadn’t replied to her yet.

She wasn’t in a hurry either. After booking the return airplane tickets, she placed the phone on the table to charge and went to take a shower first.

...

On the other side, City Hospital in McKinney.

Mrs. Yapiter had been taking care of Owen Yapiter in the hospital these days.

Occasionally, Evron Barness came over to take over, preventing her from exhausting herself and falling ill.

As soon as news of Owen Yapiter’s illness spread, many who were on good terms with the Yapiter Family came to visit them, leaving Evron Barness busy dealing with them and not resting well these days, with visible fatigue on his handsome face and dark circles under his eyes.

Fortunately, he received a call from Nathalie, which injected a dose of cardiotonic into him.

Evron Barness couldn’t hide his joy, walking briskly to tell Mrs. Yapiter the good news.

Just as he reached the door of the ward, he ran into Hendrik Zachmann who had rushed over from Beijing.

Travel-worn, Hendrik immediately called out to him upon seeing him: ”Mr. Barness.”

Evron Barness stopped his steps and only then noticed him: ”What brings you here?”

”I heard about Mr. Yapiter’s situation.” Hendrik quickly walked up to him, reached out and patted his shoulder in a comforting manner, asking solemnly: ”Are you alright? Mr. Yapiter... his age is what it is, don’t dwell on it too much.”

Ever since learning that Nathalie Quinlan had acquired the CD-3 targeted drug, Evron Barness had been in an incredibly good mood and couldn’t help but laugh at his words of comfort, exclaiming with lively spirits: ”I’m fine, rest assured, I’m doing great, couldn’t be better!”

He thought his grandfather would have to resign himself to fate this time, but unexpectedly Nathalie was able to get the drug from the laboratory, turning everything around for the better...

”You...” Hendrik didn’t expect him to be so ’open-minded,’ with Mr. Yapiter lying in the intensive care unit, yet Evron Barness was cheerful and claiming everything was fine.

For a moment, he was at a loss, pausing briefly to steady himself, then solemnly said: ”Mr. Barness, feel free to ask for help wherever you need it. We are friends, your grandfather is my elder, and now that Mr. Yapiter is in the hospital, I also want to do my part.”

He pondered for a moment, thought of Caryn, and then looked at Evron, frowning as he said: ”My sister went to the Pharmaceutical Association; she is now a member there. If you need, I can have her inquire if there’s any medicine from the Pharmaceutical Association that Mr. Yapiter can use.”
