The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1469: Chapter 1469: Now She Knows Fear

The agent saw her throwing a tantrum in the lounge and had no mood to console her.

While they were talking, her agent received several more phone calls one after another.

All were cancellations of cooperation.

The agent’s face turned completely sullen.

She hung up the sixth call, turned off the phone first, couldn’t care less about other things, and hurriedly urged Linda: ”Quickly call Mr. Fisher and ask if we’ve offended someone.”

”At this time?” Linda hesitated a bit, unwilling to make the call: ”He’ll be angry if I call him now.”

”My dear, what time is it now, and you’re still afraid of Mr. Fisher getting angry!” Her agent’s tone was urgent and quick.

Briefly explained their current situation to her.

”All your upcoming schedules have been canceled, including agreed TV dramas and movies. Just now, all the investors called me to say they want to replace you. If we don’t resolve this, it’s equivalent to being half-shelved!”

Linda finally realized fear, her beautiful face turning pale with fright, throat dry: ”How, how did this happen?”

Her agent looked tense, gazing at her seriously and said: ”We must have offended someone! As for who, I still don’t know, but the way the other party retaliated, it’s definitely not someone in the entertainment circle who could wield such power. We must have offended someone from Mr. Fisher’s circle!”

”Linda, quickly talk to Mr. Fisher, have him help us find out who exactly we offended.” Emaline’s head felt twice its size, not very confident: ”If Mr. Fisher finds out who we offended, maybe we can remedy the situation, otherwise...”

She didn’t say what would happen otherwise.

But Linda had been in the entertainment circle for a few years, face turning pale, already understood her meaning — otherwise, she’d be washed up.

She took a deep breath, no longer worried if Richardo Fisher would be displeased if she called him at this moment.

She grabbed the phone on the table, hurriedly found Richardo Fisher’s number, and dialed it in a haste: ”Hello.”

In the boys’ dormitory at Tsinghua University.

Third year basically had no classes.

Stewin had just come back after playing a round of basketball on the court and saw Zayn Fisher making a call in the hallway outside the dorm, his face looking quite ugly as he spoke heatedly to the person on the other end.

He, a big man, wasn’t interested in eavesdropping on gossip, so he didn’t pay attention to whom Zayn Fisher was calling.

Turned around and pushed open the dormitory door.

Third-year classes weren’t many, and some people who had homes in Beijing lived outside, but Zeus Tanzil hadn’t moved out and occasionally came back to the school.

He had returned to the dorm yesterday; last night, a group went out for dinner.

”Guys, I’m back!”

Stewin grinningly pushed open the door and came in to see Zeus Tanzil sitting by the bookcase playing on the laptop, which was wide open.

Stewin put the basketball back, walked forward to take a look.

As expected, he was searching for Nathalie Quinlan’s news again.

Stewin saw the name on Zeus Tanzil’s computer screen, couldn’t help but feel a strong sense of sympathy for him, reached out and slapped a big hand on his shoulder, jokingly said: ”Mr. Tanzil, you’re looking at your goddess again early in the morning? I say if you really like her, why not go for it, who knows, you might succeed?”

”Then my parents will break my legs and kick me out of the house.” Zeus Tanzil replied with a blank expression.

Stewin froze for a moment: ”Uncle and Auntie are that harsh?”

He remembered Zeus Tanzil’s parents seemed gentle and polite, never putting on airs, even better than Zayn Fisher’s parents.

Such a down-to-earth couple, why did Mr. Tanzil say they were so brutal?
