The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1488: Chapter 1489: Waiting for the Day Audrick Zachmann and Mr. Zachmann Regret It

Celine Tucker, who came with her, was much the same; it was clear from the start that both were very nervous.

Ellen Quarles glanced at their unpresentable appearance and took the lead to guide the way: ”Caryn, let’s go in.”

”Hmm, okay.” Caryn Zachmann’s mind was buzzing at first, nervously clenching her fists, taking a deep breath to relax her taut face a bit, then awkwardly following along.

Celine Tucker stayed by her side, both following closely behind Ellen Quarles, very unfamiliar with everything around them.

Ellen Quarles, however, seemed very familiar with the Pharmaceutical Association, leading them inside while greeting people from the association.

After a few minutes, Celine Tucker’s tension eased a bit. As she walked, she lowered her voice to speak softly to the girl beside her: ”Is this the Pharmaceutical Association? I didn’t expect it to be like this.”

Caryn Zachmann, still quite nervous, responded to her absentmindedly.

Celine Tucker saw the Pharmaceutical Association’s laboratory along the way, with people wearing the association’s clothes walking briskly past them.

She couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows and said: ”Your grandfather and Nathalie Quinlan ought to see what the highest level of the medical field looks like!”

Caryn Zachmann, initially nervous, showed a fleeting, haughty coldness on her face when she heard this and replied coldly: ”Hah, she might never set foot in a place like this.”

Celine Tucker thought for a moment: ”That’s true. What chance does Nathalie Quinlan have of coming here to the Pharmaceutical Association?”

Thinking this, her expression became relaxed, a pleased look appearing on her face: ”Even if she follows Mr. Avalon, she won’t have the chance to experience a place like the Pharmaceutical Association! Your grandfather treats her like a treasure, thinking she can shine the family name with a few unremarkable awards. Tsk! He’s getting senile, but soon he’ll realize who actually earns recognition for the Zachmann Family!”

Caryn Zachmann smiled silently, but her eyes and brows radiated a strong sense of superiority.

She said no more, but her thoughts mirrored Celine Tucker’s desire to see Audrick Zachmann and Mr. Zachmann regret choosing Nathalie Quinlan over her.

She could hardly wait for that day to come!

...

”We’re here.”

The Pharmaceutical Association has ten floors, and the place for new member registration was on the first floor, not far from where they entered.

Ellen Quarles guided Caryn Zachmann to the registration area and communicated her situation with the people there.

The staff of the Pharmaceutical Association quickly entered Caryn Zachmann’s information into the computer and had her fill out a basic information form by hand.

After about forty minutes of bustling around, they finally got it done.

Ellen Quarles was not a fan of wasting time.

After smoothly completing the procedures for Caryn Zachmann, she smiled and spoke to Caryn Zachmann and Celine Tucker: ”I’ve contacted Mr. Dax’s apprentice, and he said Mr. Dax is entertaining a very important friend, so we should go over ourselves, and Mr. Dax will see us when he has time. Let’s go wait over there.”

Caryn Zachmann, hearing that Ellen Quarles was about to take her to meet Caleb Dax, grew nervous again, her back rigidly straightening as she quickly nodded: ”Alright, thank you, godmother.”

Seeing her small-minded demeanor, Ellen Quarles tidied her clothes and smiled tenderly: ”It’s no trouble at all; I’ve always said I’d introduce you to Mr. Dax.”

Caryn Zachmann couldn’t continue with polite words.

Ellen Quarles, with great frankness, led them onward.

”Let’s go, we’ll wait over there.”
