The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1462: Chapter 1462: Asking Khendy Lordon Won’t Help—Only Nathalie Quinlan Can Save You

Hendrik Zachmann didn’t say directly, he just said, ”Mr. Barness, could you let Andre know and have him contact me? I tried reaching him through Maybelissa’s Intranet, but he didn’t respond. You’re close with Andre, he should do you this favor.”

”Hendrik, you haven’t figured it out. It’s not whether I’m willing to help or not!” Evron Barness interrupted him, ”You still don’t understand where exactly you went wrong!”

Hendrik’s handsome brows furrowed deeply.

Evron Barness didn’t spare his feelings, speaking bluntly, ”I’ve already told you before, your cousin isn’t simple. Look at the people she surrounds herself with. Mr. Yancey, Mr. Vinson, Valencia Jett... and now Mr. Lordon. You might not even know these people~! Yet she’s just a high school student from McKinney who knows them. Look at their attitude towards her. Do you really think they’re only hanging out with her because of her looks?”

Hendrik couldn’t help but recall the silhouette he and his father had seen before in the hotel.

At that time, Khendy’s bodyguard was also present.

What did the bodyguard say?

It seemed like he said ’that person is one of the co-founders of Maybelissa’.

That silhouette was extremely similar to Nathalie Quinlan!

”You think you offended Mr. Lordon, but no, the person you’ve been offending all along is your cousin!”

Evron continued talking to him.

”So Hendrik, approaching Mr. Lordon is useless. If I help you reach Andre, even if you meet Mr. Lordon, the result will be the same. As a friend, I’m telling you honestly, if you don’t want to leave Maybelissa, you better find your cousin and talk to her properly.”

”She’s not cold-hearted; I notice she’s good to your grandfather and uncle. If you hadn’t been provoking her all the time, she likely wouldn’t ignore you.”

Hendrik himself knew he had gone too far yesterday.

But for Evron to suggest he lower his pride to Nathalie, he couldn’t swallow it.

”Didn’t you say yourself it wasn’t her who broke your sister’s things? If you knew it wasn’t her, did you apologize to her afterward?”

Evron roughly understood why he wasn’t reaching out to Nathalie and gently advised him, ”Think about it yourself; if I were you, I’d just apologize to her openly and not be so biased in the future. Both are your sisters, a cousin is also a sister, why hold such prejudice against Nathalie?”

Hendrik pursed his lips, staying silent for a long time.

From the beginning, before seeing Nathalie, he already had a negative first impression of his cousin, and naturally didn’t like her when he saw her later.

But it was indeed his mistake yesterday. Evron was right; after they found out the truth, no one apologized to Nathalie, and that wasn’t handled well either.

”I understand.”

Hendrik was still considering, mainly because even if he wanted to apologize, he couldn’t find her.

Nathalie wouldn’t pick up his calls, finding her was harder than climbing to heaven.

Evron sighed heavily, ”You, you’re so blinded by appearances while being in the midst of it. I think you don’t see as clearly as Audrick.”

Caryn Zachmann seemed talented, dignified, and generous but was actually narrow-minded and petty, unlikely to have great achievements in the future.

On the contrary, Nathalie Quinlan, whom the Zachmann family brought back, is low-key yet full of surprises.

Hendrik was blinded and couldn’t see clearly, otherwise, why would he constantly have conflicts over Caryn, pushing Nathalie further and further away each time...

Some people, once you push them away, it’s probably not so easy to bring them back!
