The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1475: Chapter 1475: Nathalie Has Arrived

He knew very well that the relatives at home were either worried about his grandfather’s health or afraid that the old man couldn’t hold on, affecting their future.

Some things are better left unsaid; it’s enough for everyone to maintain appearances.

He bypassed the third aunt and stood in front of Mrs. Yapiter, saying solemnly, ”Mom, try not to worry too much.”

Mrs. Yapiter covered her face, overwhelmed with panic, unable to utter a single word.

Evron Barness gently took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders, then spoke to her softly, ”Grandfather’s phone has a contact saved with the letter Q. I remember he mentioned to me a highly skilled doctor he knew. He never saved unknown numbers. That Q should be the miracle doctor he talked about.”

”I’ve already used his phone to contact that miracle doctor. The person responded to my message two hours ago, saying they were on their way. We just need to wait a bit longer.”

Mrs. Yapiter raised her head, looking at him with concern, ”Will waiting help?”

Evron Barness’s throat was dry, unable to answer her question.

He didn’t know if waiting would help.

But right now, they had no other choice but to wait!

An hour later, the flight Nathalie Quinlan was on landed at McKinney Airport.

She got off the airplane, pulled up her sweater’s hood, and walked towards the airport road with her hands in her pockets.

Nathalie Quinlan flagged down a taxi by the roadside, and after reporting the hospital’s address, she took out her phone from her pocket in the back seat.

Phone powered on.

Amadeus Yancey had called her seven or eight times, all missed calls.

There was also a missed call from Sadam Vinson.

She didn’t return any of the calls; she simply opened WhatsApp and sent a message to Amadeus Yancey, informing him that she’d safely arrived in McKinney and was now heading to the hospital to visit Owen Yapiter.

The airport was quite a distance from the City Hospital, and with rush hour traffic, they ran into a traffic jam.

Nathalie Quinlan’s journey was filled with traffic, and by the time she reached McKinney City Hospital, it was eight o’clock in the evening.

Outside, it was already completely dark.

The weather in McKinney had changed suddenly over the past few days, with continuous rain. Tonight, too, the sky was overcast with not a star in sight.

The weather was unbearably muggy, seeming as though it would rain.

Nathalie Quinlan lowered the brim of her hat and walked straight into the hospital, heading towards the ICU ward.

...

”Evron Barness, has the doctor you mentioned arrived yet?” The Yapiter family was waiting outside the intensive care unit.

Owen Yapiter was not out of danger. They didn’t dare leave and couldn’t leave, fearing they’d miss their last chance to see Mr. Yapiter.

No one wanted to leave, but someone was bound to lose patience, ”Is that doctor coming or not?”

Evron Barness had stayed awake all day and night, waiting outside just like them.

Once someone started questioning, the other relatives of the Yapiter family immediately joined in.

”Yeah, why hasn’t that doctor come yet? Evron, are you sure they won’t ditch us?” The third aunt always had something to say, ”If not, let’s transfer hospitals!”

Evron Barness frowned deeply, his eyes showing a slight movement, about to say ’how can we transfer hospitals given Grandfather’s current condition’?

Just then.

He caught a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye.

Evron Barness was a bit stunned, his mind taut with disbelief. He opened his mouth and called out, ”Nathalie Quinlan?”

Why was Nathalie Quinlan here?

He hadn’t formally interacted with Nathalie Quinlan, but due to Hendrik Zachmann’s connection, he’d heard quite a bit about her in private.

He thought Hendrik Zachmann’s cousin was quite impressive.

Yet at this moment, Nathalie Quinlan suddenly appeared in McKinney and at this critical juncture in the hospital.

Moreover, she was walking towards them.
