The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1474: Chapter 1474: Mr. Yapiter Is Sick

Evron Barness stayed with the old man for IV infusion all last night without sleeping, and in the morning he called Hendrik Zachmann. The nurse then told him that his grandfather had a fever again...

These past two days for Evron Barness can be described as chaotic.

Facing eyes all anxiously staring at him, his expression solemn: ”Grandpa... isn’t doing well.”

”?”

The entire Yapiter Family was immediately in an uproar.

Mrs. Yapiter felt her heart skip a beat, a layer of worry covering her face, and anxiously asked him, ”Jishen, what exactly did the doctor tell you? Just tell us the truth!”

”It’s not that I don’t want to say...”

Seeing that they all wanted to know, Evron Barness simply relayed everything the doctor told him: ”The doctor said that Grandpa’s repeated high fever might be due to a problem with his immune system.”

”They performed a check on Grandpa and found a tumor near his blood vessels, but they can’t yet confirm whether the tumor is benign.”

”However, there’s a higher possibility that it’s malignant, and because of this tumor, it’s pressing against Grandpa’s blood vessels, causing him to remain in a coma.”

Evron Barness’s voice was clear and articulate.

The more composed and calmly he explained the situation, the more the hearts of the Yapiter Family sank...

Even Mrs. Yapiter displayed a panicked expression: ”Your grandfather has always been healthy; how could this suddenly...”

”It’s not that sudden.” Evron Barness sighed, speaking heavily: ”Grandpa hasn’t been well for a long time, but we didn’t care for him usually. He’s stubbornly independent; even if he felt unwell, he wouldn’t tell us.”

The numerous aunts and uncles in the Yapiter Family all bowed their heads in shame at hearing this.

Mr. Yapiter had a bad temper, and his personality was both stubborn and stern, making the family fear him.

They wouldn’t dare to hover around Owen Yapiter without reason, let alone inquire about the old man’s health.

Evron Barness knew about the situation at home; he stayed mostly at Maybelissa and rarely came back. He knew about the situation at home but was powerless about it.

Now he only regretted not having taken more time to come back and accompany his grandfather.

”The doctor also said that Grandpa’s body had already collapsed long ago. The only reason he hadn’t fallen immediately was because he was taking some medication, which temporarily suppressed the growth of the tumor near his blood vessels.”

”This episode with Grandpa might be because he ran out of the medication.”

Aunt Three immediately furrowed her brow, worried: ”If he ran out, then buy more! Did the doctor not tell you what medication your grandfather was taking?”

Evron Barness shook his head.

Aunt Three, as anxious as ants on a hot pan, paced back and forth, thinking of an idea: ”Your grandfather...”

Before she could finish, Evron Barness knew what she meant to say and coldly replied: ”Grandpa is in a coma and can’t possibly tell you.”

”Then what do we do?” Aunt Three stomped her foot anxiously: ”We can’t just stand here and do nothing!”

After hearing her words, Evron Barness laughed coldly, not giving her any face at all: ”What else can we do if not just stand here? Can you cure Grandpa?”

”You!”

Aunt Three, flustered and red-faced, finally blurted out after a long time: ”You kid, I’m just worried about your grandfather’s health, and I didn’t mean anything else. Do you have to speak so harshly...”

”I’m just speaking frankly. There’s no point in you being impatient with me now, and I can’t help either.” Evron Barness didn’t bother to engage with her, his brow cold and remote, his tone unfriendly.
