The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1480: Chapter 1480: Suddenly Changed Plans, Leaving Today

Celine Tucker was helping Caryn Zachmann pack her luggage. As she neatly folded Caryn’s clothes and placed them into the suitcase, she frowned and said, ”What’s going on with the Pharmaceutical Association? Didn’t they just say this morning that the departure was changed to the day after tomorrow, and now they’re urging you to leave immediately.”

”They’re so unpredictable, making us rush. I originally planned to go to the spa tomorrow for a facial. I had an appointment, but now there’s no time.”

Caryn herself was busy putting things into the suitcase. ”I don’t know. The chief suddenly called to say there’s an 11 o’clock airplane. I didn’t have time to ask him why the schedule changed.”

”Better not to ask.” Celine thought for a moment, then added, ”The Pharmaceutical Association might have some urgent matter needing him back. You’re a rookie; there are some things he won’t feel comfortable telling you. It’d be awkward if you asked...”

”Yes, that’s why I didn’t ask.” Caryn had considered this as well.

She just couldn’t understand why one moment they were delaying the return, and the next they were rushing off urgently. What was happening?

Celine was going with Caryn this time. Her own luggage was already packed, so her main task now was helping Caryn organize her belongings.

While putting Caryn’s toiletries inside, she said, ”Caryn, once you arrive at the Pharmaceutical Association, keep a low profile. We don’t know much about the Pharmaceutical Association; it’s always safer to stay under the radar...”

This was something Leonardy Zachmann had told Caryn that morning as well.

Hearing the same advice repeatedly, Caryn furrowed her brows impatiently.

However, thinking about her imminent trip to the Pharmaceutical Association, her expression quickly relaxed.

She was in a fairly good mood: ”I know, don’t worry. I’m not stupid; I understand what kind of place the Pharmaceutical Association is!”

Seeing that Caryn wasn’t just brushing it off, Celine felt somewhat reassured and said to her, ”Just remember to keep your head down.”

”Truthfully, you shouldn’t have been able to enter the Pharmaceutical Association this time. The quota from the Quarles Family wasn’t originally meant for you. They wanted to keep it for a family member initially, but later...”

She stopped mid-sentence, seeming unable to continue.

She then changed the topic: ”Anyway, once you get to the country m, you’ll need to be very attentive. We’re not at home but outside; many things can be inconvenient. Endure as much as you can, and after you find a good mentor, things will be better.”

The Pharmaceutical Association also has laboratories and mentors for new trainees.

But compared to Adelle Wafford’s lab at Tsinghua University.

The Pharmaceutical Association’s laboratory is far more impressive.

The world’s most cutting-edge medicine always emerges from the Pharmaceutical Association’s lab, and that’s what makes the Pharmaceutical Association so formidable!

Caryn had gotten a basic understanding of the Pharmaceutical Association through Ellen Quarles. She roughly knew that it was located in the country m and operated like a research institute.

However, country m is not the main base of the Pharmaceutical Association.

The true headquarters of the Pharmaceutical Association is in Inderia.

Yet, in recent years, Caleb Dax had relocated the lab to Orlais, which led to the Pharmaceutical Association’s active areas shifting from Inderia to the small country m.

Ellen Quarles obtained a valuable position at the Pharmaceutical Association.

Because she married the third heir of country m, who is a member of the Royal Family.

Ellen Quarles once helped Caleb Dax, thus having a deep connection with the Pharmaceutical Association. At that time, Caleb Dax promised Ellen Quarles a slot for the Quarles Family to enter the Pharmaceutical Association.

Ellen Quarles always kept this quota unused.

It was originally intended for her niece, currently the most gifted in the Quarles family, Evelyn Quarles.

Who would have thought this quota would eventually end up in her lap.
