The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 731: Chapter 731: Nathalie’s Vest Must Be Well-Hidden_1

Ghania Quinlan didn’t know what he was thinking and, upon hearing him, shook her head and said, ”I don’t know, I just suddenly heard my aunt mention that Mr. Norton won’t be coming.”

She paused for a few seconds and then pursed her lips and said, ”Apart from Mr. Norton not coming, didn’t I tell you that Lighten Chaser might attend this music exchange?”

”Yes.” Zayn Fisher also knew of Lighten Chaser, popular online with a fan base rivaling first-line stars, and Audrick Zachmann was also a fan.

”What about Lighten Chaser?”

Ghania Quinlan raised her head, confusion in her eyes but not certain, she hesitated and said, ”Lighten Chaser isn’t coming either.”

”From what my aunt implies, it seems that Lighten Chaser knows Mr. Norton, and they have a good relationship. It’s because Mr. Norton isn’t coming that Lighten Chaser decided not to come.”

She had asked Ivy Wilmar about Lighten Chaser, but Ivy had never met him in person.

The guess about Shawn Norton knowing Lighten Chaser was Ivy Wilmar’s.

She casually said so, secretly hoping that Lighten Chaser wouldn’t come, as she had always been worried that he might attend the music exchange and steal her limelight. Now with both Shawn Norton and Lighten Chaser not coming, she could have the spotlight all to herself. For her, their absence turned out to be good news.

However, she failed to notice the change in Zayn Fisher’s expression when she said, ”Mr. Norton and Lighten Chaser may know each other.”

Mr. Norton and Lighten Chaser know each other, and they’re on good terms.

Nathalie Quinlan also knows Mr. Norton, and their relationship is special.

So, Lighten Chaser = Nathalie Quinlan?

Zayn Fisher was startled by this sudden thought that popped into his head and had no interest in continuing the conversation with Ghania Quinlan. He hurried past her and said in haste, ”Ghania, wait for me for a second, I need to make a phone call to Zeus Tanzil.”

At the Yancey Family Residence in Beijing, an elderly man in good shape, dressed in a suit, was trimming branches.

He had just finished pruning an orchid when he caught sight of someone about to leave from the corner of his eye. Setting down the scissors and taking a towel handed to him by the butler, he wiped his hands and called out to the man about to leave, clearing his throat, ”Where are you off to?”

Amadeus Yancey didn’t expect to be discovered and stopped in his tracks. Tall and straight, his handsome face was defined by the sunlight, and his dark eyes were deep, ”Just stepping out for a bit.”

”...I didn’t know you were just stepping out for a bit? That’s what I get,” Mr. Yancey was taken aback by his response and glared at him fiercely. He set down the towel and walked over, saying, ”Everyone says it’s hard to keep a grown daughter at home, but look at you, a grown man who’s hardly ever around. If it wasn’t for me having the butler tell you I was sick, you’d still be holed up in McKinney refusing to come back.”

Faced with his endless grievances, the man felt not the slightest guilt and said indolently, ”Isn’t Edric here to keep you company?”

”Him?”

Mr. Yancey’s heart ached even more at the mention!

”He’s just like you, not fully here, even when he’s back. He arrives with a scowl, glued to his phone waiting for a message from his sister, he’s practically got lovesickness!”

In the past, the Little Tyrant of the Yancey family at least lived up to his nickname, causing trouble here and there, like beating up someone’s grandson today, tearing another’s granddaughter’s notebook tomorrow... In short, there wasn’t a day he didn’t stir up trouble.

Now that he was back, he acted too docilely, as if his soul wasn’t even in his body, half of it still lost in McKinney.

Propped up at home all day, he didn’t cause trouble anymore, either playing games or looking at his phone, basically ignoring him.

He might as well have not come back!

The younger was like this, and the older was no different.

Mr. Yancey was heartbroken, looking at his grandson, whom he was so proud of, his nose not looking like a nose, his eyes not looking like eyes, and said, ”The Joint Entrance Exam results for Tsinghua University are out, have you seen them?”
