The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 704: Chapter 704: Nathalie Is So Famous She Doesn’t Even Need to Enter the Entertainment Circle_Part 1

Freddy Cagwin couldn’t help but smile at the corners of his mouth, nodding and speaking with composure, ”Good. Just let me know in advance when you come back, and I’ll have my mom start simmering it.”

As if afraid Nathalie Quinlan wouldn’t understand, he explained, ”The old hen brought from my hometown has been raised for several years, and I’m afraid it wouldn’t be stewed properly in just an hour or two. If you want to eat it, it has to be stewed for at least half a day.”

Actually, there was no need for him to explain; Nathalie Quinlan, who wouldn’t have thought too much into it, agreed readily, her dark eyes pretty like ink dots. She tugged her cap brim, looking cool, ”Got it. I’ll tell you in advance when I come back.”

”Good.” Freddy genuinely smiled this time, gazing at the girl’s immaculate profile and pursing his lips, he said earnestly, ”Nathalie, I’ve made up my mind. For the college entrance exam, I want to apply to Southern University, their Computer Science department.”

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t expected him to also consider universities in Beijing, let alone Southern University right next to Tsinghua University.

A look of surprise appeared on her face, but she didn’t say much, only raising the corners of her eyes and returning him an equally earnest expression, she asked, ”Have you thought it through?”

”Southern University isn’t easy to get into, especially their Computer Science department, which is considered their ace program. If you want to get in through the college entrance exam, you’ll need at least a score of 700+.”

The college entrance exam has a full score of 750 points.

Language, Mathematics, and Foreign Language each account for 150 points + Science (or Liberal Arts) Comprehensive 300 points.

Every year, Southern University’s admission scores are roughly the same as Tsinghua University, all above 650 points, but this score is only enough for admission. To enter the Computer Science major, you need to stand out from the crowd of admitted students with 650+ points, typically exceeding the admission line by more than 30 points to have a chance.

She had some idea of Freddy’s grades in her heart.

He could easily surpass the First-tier University admission line, but there was still a gap from colleges like Southern University and Tsinghua University.

Nathalie Quinlan looked into his eyes, ”Confident?”

Freddy Cagwin leaned against the lecture desk like her, looking down with a smile, just as languid yet bold, ”Not confident.”

He couldn’t get more straightforward!

Nathalie: ...

It was rare for him to see astonishment on a girl’s face. He smiled, this time without the previous heaviness, shrugged his shoulders, and his face carried the vim and vigor that an eighteen-year-old boy should have, ”Right now, my grades could get me at most 630 points in the college entrance exam, which is still 20 points short from the previous year’s admission score for Southern University. So if you ask me if I’m confident, the answer is definitely no...”

”However, I’ve made up my mind, either I don’t go to university and study for another year, or I attend the best university and study the best major!”

His family’s financial situation didn’t allow him to waste four years of time in university. If, after graduating, he had to start over again looking for work, writing resumes like thousands of other university graduates, he’d rather not attend university at all.

Nathalie Quinlan, with her eyebrows raised, didn’t speak.

Freddy Cagwin spoke slowly yet firmly, ”There’s still more than two months left until the college entrance exam. If I buckle down and study, there’s still a chance. We’ll see if I don’t make it.”

Then, turning his head to look at her, he smiled, ”Nathalie, you don’t know, after you were set on going to Tsinghua University, everyone in class has been considering universities in Beijing.”

”Justin Wafford and Jhovany Sullivan have already agreed to apply to Tsinghua University, and Clerent Miller and her group also want to apply to universities in Beijing. The few people in class who didn’t choose Beijing universities have picked ones nearby...” His eyes gleamed with a mischievous smile, ”Nathalie, seriously, with your charm, have you never considered joining the entertainment circle?”

”If you were willing to enter the entertainment industry, I think you could become famous.”

He said this partly in jest.

He had no idea that the girl standing in front of him was the same Lighten Chaser who had recently shot to fame, threatening the position of a top star.
