The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 247: Chapter 247: There’s Still a Big Cake_1

After that incident, Cindy Lawrence and the others didn’t even know how they followed the waiter to their private room.

Elsewhere.

Inside the private room of Waterfront Pavilion that was not open to the public.

Some dishes had already been served.

Nathalie Quinlan unceremoniously picked a spot and sat down.

Amadeus Yancey quickly took a seat on her left, and on the other side, Audrick Zachmann was slower than Stanley Zachmann. As everyone came in, they talked about the incident they had just heard between Cindy Lawrence and the waiter.

Nathalie Quinlan rested one hand on the chair and held her phone in the other, seemingly still replying to someone’s message.

Amadeus Yancey curled his lip, leaning close to her ear with a low and charming voice, ”Is this what you meant by ’taking matters into your own hands’?”

[NIE: I’m on my way.]

Seeing the new message in the dialogue box, Nathalie Quinlan casually replied [Alright] and sent it off.

After turning off her phone, she lifted her eyelids and responded to the man beside her, ”Not exactly.”

”I just can’t stand to see them acting as if nothing happened!”

She was waiting for a message from Red Alliance.

As soon as they sent her evidence of Ghania Quinlan pushing Lily, she planned to deal with Ghania Quinlan—and it wouldn’t be as simple as just giving Ghania a minor annoyance.

She had already obtained some material.

Enough to ensure Ghania Quinlan couldn’t turn the tables.

”So you did it to deliberately upset them?” Amadeus Yancey realized that sometimes she had quite a temper, but somehow, her fieriness wasn’t off-putting—in fact, it was painfully adorable.

”Hmm...” Nathalie Quinlan didn’t speak.

She casually handed Lily a new bottle of ’gum’.

And started talking to Lily.

Course after course was served in the private room, and they even considerately prepared a large cake...

The atmosphere in the adjacent private room was not as pleasant.

Jeff Quinlan and the others weren’t speaking.

The air was heavy with tension.

Ghania Quinlan’s eyes were reddened, her head hung low, looking like she was about to cry.

Zayn Fisher patted her shoulder, his eyes full of anger as he comforted her, ”Forget it, Ghania. There’s no need to argue with her. She’s just showing off because she can rely on Mr. Yancey.”

”...” Ghania Quinlan bit her lip, her eyes growing even more misty.

No matter how Nathalie Quinlan showed off, she had just ruthlessly trampled them underfoot!

Ghania couldn’t even bear to recall how embarrassing she had just been.

The dishes were also gradually served in their room.

Taking a deep breath, Cindy Lawrence stood up first, squeezed out a smile, lifted her tea cup and addressed the blond-haired, blue-eyed man opposite her, ”Master Steven, let me toast to you. I’m very grateful that you could take the time to attend my granddaughter’s Birthday Banquet.”

Steven had been invited by Adelia Tucker and had indeed watched and admired Ghania Quinlan’s award-winning piece, so out of respect, he stood up, raised his glass in return, and in his broken C Country language said, ”Mrs. Quinlan, you are too kind.”

With this little episode, the mood in the private room finally lightened a bit.

Seeing that there was a figure like Master Steven in her party, Ghania Quinlan felt she had regained some face and managed to hold back her tears that had threatened to fall.

Just as the atmosphere seemed to warm up again amidst the polite exchanges between Cindy Lawrence and Steven.

At that moment.

Suddenly someone pushed open the door from outside.

All eyes in the private room turned towards the newcomer—

They saw a young man followed by an old man with white hair and beard, wearing a robe, who looked quite ordinary.

What was extraordinary was what he carried in his arms, an instrument that resembled a harp but wasn’t quite a harp.

Emilia Sullivan paused, turned her head, and asked Jeff Quinlan, ”Who is that, someone you invited?”
