The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Do You Like That Young Girl_1

She watched the backs of the two as they left, and suddenly asked Alfred Garland beside her, ”Does Amadeus actually have feelings for that young girl?”

Alfred Garland was leading her to the sickroom, and upon hearing her words, he almost slipped, stammering in response, ”That... um... I really don’t know about Amadeus’s affairs.”

”I think you know better than anyone else!” Candice Yancey scolded him with a sidelong glance, but surprisingly without any objection, she sighed as she looked at Nathalie Quinlan’s receding figure, ”This is the first time I’ve seen him so concerned about someone. The girl is quite nice, I really like her.”

In fact, the Yancey family didn’t believe in arranged marriages; she personally didn’t want to see the younger generation using marriage as a means to exchange benefits.

Only, she remembered that Amadeus had a fiancée arranged for him since childhood.

Candice Yancey furrowed her brows, her heart already set on a decision.

If her father ever forced Amadeus to be with that ’fiancée’ from who knows where, she would unquestionably stand on Nathalie Quinlan’s side.

Not to mention anything else, just for the fact that Nathalie saved Edric’s life and cured his leg, she was a forever benefactor in her eyes.

She took this to heart.

...

The discharge procedures for Edric Yancey were straightforward, and in no time, they had obtained the proof of discharge.

The little fellow had just undergone surgery and was very weak, falling asleep after seeing his grandma due to the effects of the medication.

The car drove steadily back to the villa.

They hadn’t even entered yet.

The people inside heard the noise and came running to open the door with a clatter.

”Amadeus, why did you just get back?” Audrick Zachmann was wearing a loose sweater that revealed a large expanse of collarbone, a sight that would have his fans screaming ’brother is killing it’.

Unfortunately for him, the several people present were immune to his good looks.

Let’s not even talk about Nathalie; seeing someone as breathtaking as Amadeus Yancey flitting around her daily made Audrick seem quite ordinary.

As for the others.

Amadeus Yancey and Alfred Garland were men, and men couldn’t care less about another man’s attractiveness.

Audrick was used to being treated this way by them; his peach blossom eyes swept over Nathalie’s slightly pale face, and he quickly asked, ”Why is your face color so off?”

Then seeing Edric Yancey, fast asleep in Amadeus’s embrace, he also rubbed the back of his head, looking troubled, ”And what happened to Edric to end up like this?”

”What on earth happened?”

He had made several phone calls to Nathalie in the evening and no one answered, and his calls to Amadeus also went unanswered; at one point he even suspected that the two of them had eloped.

”It’s nothing, Edric had a small accident this afternoon.”

Amadeus Yancey wrapped the little bundle in a blanket; his chest was so broad and wide that Edric seemed to be sleeping peacefully, curled up in his embrace.

Knowing the importance of the little tycoon to the Yancey family, Audrick reacted like a cat with its tail stepped on, bouncing up in alarm, ”What? Edric had a fall? How could that happen? Is he okay?”

If anything were to happen to Edric, the whole of McKinney would be turned upside down.

”Nathalie performed surgery on him, he’s fine now,” Amadeus Yancey nodded, signaling for him to move out of the doorway, ”Nathalie has been standing for four hours, let her go in and rest first, anything else I’ll explain to you.”

Alfred Garland said, ”Yes, Ms. Quinlan spent a whole four hours without any rest performing surgery on the young master.”

On hearing she stood for four hours, Audrick was too distressed to stay upset and quickly stepped aside.

Nathalie had just closed her eyes to rest a bit in the car, and she felt much better now, but her body was still extremely exhausted. She hitched up her single shoulder bag and went into the villa first.
