The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 225: Chapter 225: Nathalie Will Give a Face Slap Personally_1

”It’s nothing.”

Nathalie Quinlan raised the corner of her eye, changing her pose as she stood, ”Didn’t you want to know if I am going to have a big birthday party, who I’m planning to invite, and in which private room?”

Ghania Quinlan: ...

She had only asked casually and actually despised knowing the details in her heart.

”Yes, that’s right.”

Nathalie Quinlan had already guessed what she was thinking by looking at her hypocritical expression, and a cold glint flashed through the corner of her eye like a shooting star.

Her voice was low and husky.

”You’ll find out this weekend.”

What does that mean?

Ghania Quinlan’s heart suddenly clenched, and she felt an inexplicable beating, as if she had a bad premonition.

With both parents and the grandmother around on the weekend, surely nothing could go wrong, right?

*

After parting ways with Ghania Quinlan, Nathalie Quinlan crossed the street, pulled open the Phaeton’s car door, and bent down to get in.

With a ’snap,’ she closed the door.

Upon hearing the car door’s bang, Amadeus Yancey raised an eyebrow, set aside the laptop he was using, and turned to talk to her, ”What’s wrong, you seem so agitated.”

Nathalie Quinlan pressed her lips together, a chill flashing in her eyes, slightly annoyed, ”Ran into a mad dog on the road.”

”...” What kind of mad dog could have angered her to this extent?

Curiosity sparked in Amadeus Yancey’s narrow eyes as he looked over at her, a slight smile on his face, quite the gentleman apart from his words which had a slightly bloodthirsty edge, ”Do you want me to take care of it for you?”

Was he offering to take care of Ghania Quinlan for her?

Nathalie Quinlan blinked, the nauseous feeling in her chest dissipating somewhat as she leaned back in her seat, her profile smooth and three-dimensional, tough yet beautiful, ”Never mind, I prefer to deal with dogs myself.”

As Edric was involved, she didn’t want to rely on others.

Her eyes were deep, ”Dealing with dogs is something I’d rather do myself, so they don’t heal up and forget the pain, daring to bark in your face next time they see you.”

Like Ghania Quinlan, who had been avoiding her just a few days ago and now dared to come before her again. Even though Ghania Quinlan couldn’t stir up much trouble, at most give a few sour comments, it was still annoying enough.

”Are you sure you don’t need my help?” Amadeus Yancey seemed a little disappointed.

Nathalie Quinlan was feeling much better after getting into the car and hummed in response, ”No need, I’ll handle it personally.”

It wouldn’t be long before she found the eyewitnesses from the City Hospital’s corridor.

If Edric really was pushed by Ghania Quinlan, then she would not let Ghania Quinlan off the hook.

She had said before, she could elevate the Quinlan Family and Ghania Quinlan to the skies but also could bring them crashing back to reality.

Even though she had no absolute proof yet that Ghania Quinlan pushed Edric, with Edric still lying in his hospital bed undergoing rehabilitation every day, the Quinlan Family and Ghania Quinlan had already been happily preparing for the birthday celebration.

Somehow, seeing Ghania Quinlan show up was... irksome!

Ding.

Just then, a message popped up on her phone.

Nathalie Quinlan lowered her neck to glance at it.

Her pale fingers tapped to open the chat box.

The first message was one she had sent earlier.

[QN: Want to come for a meal?]

The message following was the reply.

[Nie: Time and place.]

Nathalie Quinlan sent over the Waterfront Pavilion’s location and then leaned back in the rear seat to rest her eyes.

She had been busy recently investigating Edric’s case, and with some matters involving the Red Alliance, it had been hectic. She barely got to sleep by three in the morning and had to wake up to go to school.

After several days like this, her eyes had started to show bloodshot strains.

”I’ll take a quick nap.”

Seeing her sleep so defenselessly beside him, Amadeus Yancey noticed how her drooping profile was white and beautiful, her thick lashes curling attractively, infuriatingly endearing.

His lips suddenly curved upwards, his hand resting on his knee, his voice low and mellow, ”By the way, what kind of birthday gift do you want?”

Nathalie Quinlan was too exhausted these past few days, and upon closing her eyes, she almost immediately became groggy. On hearing his words, her brows furrowed, apparently annoyed by his badgering, and she muttered with pouted lips, ”Whatever!”
