The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 240: Chapter 240: The Most Embarrassing Thing in the World_1

”Ah, you’re on the side, not at the entrance? Left or right?” Silvania Ingram didn’t glance at the father and daughter at all, treating them as if they were air, and quickly spotted Nathalie Quinlan: ”I see you. Wait for me, I’ll be right there.”

She smiled faintly and hung up the phone.

Lifting her eyelids, it seemed like she finally noticed Jeff Quinlan and Ghania Quinlan, speaking with utter indifference, ”Excuse me, you’re blocking my way.”

Jeff Quinlan: ...

Ghania Quinlan: ...

Both of their faces burned hot with embarrassment.

Jeff Quinlan’s teeth were nearly grinding to dust, he could hardly control the twitching muscles on his cheeks, yet he managed to squeeze out a smile, ”Mr. Ingram, aren’t you here to celebrate Ghania’s birthday?”

”Am I that close to her?”

”I didn’t mean that...”

If they weren’t close, why would she celebrate Ghania Quinlan’s birthday? Silvania Ingram’s piercing gaze fell upon the young girl dressed for the red carpet, and by accident, she spotted the earrings beside her ear. Before leaving, she paused, her voice cold, ”Ms. Quinlan, you should stick to wearing ’seven’s stuff; you can’t pull this off!”

Nathalie Quinlan originally designed the Iridescent series inspired by a legendary lady who had passed away, a woman whose life was full of legend, beauty, audacity, and who lived unrestrainedly.

Therefore, the items from the Iridescent series carried a certain boldness and unruliness.

Ghania Quinlan’s facial features were too insipid, and the effect of the Iridescent series on her was akin to a child sneaking into an adult’s clothes.

It always looked somewhat out of place.

Even if this series was just a practice work for Nathalie, she did not wish to see it ruined by others.

Silvania Ingram: ”You shouldn’t forcibly take what’s not yours.”

Ghania’s face turned white.

She stood there, somewhat at a loss, utterly unable to understand why that person harbored such malice towards her, unwilling to preserve even a shred of her dignity.

Silvania Ingram left quickly, soon passing by them and heading straight towards Nathalie...

”Nathalie.” Once she reached Nathalie, she changed from her earlier aggressive demeanor to that of an aunt dressed a bit too seriously.

She even looked at the people beside Nathalie with a smiling gaze and asked, ”Are these classmates from your course?”

Justin Wafford believed he had seen a lot and knew a lot.

After experiencing that Nathalie’s father was a Tsinghua University professor and her brother a top star, he’d grown a thick skin and wasn’t easily impressed.

Yet, at this moment, his eyes were wide, and his jaw almost dropped.

The boss of Pinecone Group actually knew Nathalie!!!

It suddenly occurred to him that Nathalie had once given Jhovany Sullivan a bracelet, and that bracelet seemed to be from ’seven.’

Well, ’seven’ was part of Pinecone Group’s collection.

His eyes turned to Nathalie with a complex expression, and he found himself at a loss for words.

Jhovany Sullivan didn’t recognize Silvania Ingram and curiously nudged him with her elbow, asking in a hushed voice, ”Hey, I have a question. Do you know who Nathalie’s ’friend’ is?”

”She looks like a businesswoman, probably in her thirties, about the same age as my aunt. How does Nathalie know someone my aunt’s age?”

Justin Wafford really wanted to tap her on the head and ask her if she judges people solely by their age.

But he himself was full of mixed feelings and could only tell her, ”Your idol is also Nathalie’s brother, so what’s so strange about her being friends with older people?”

”Just know that Nathalie’s friend is a very prominent figure.”
